I changed the stock speakers in mine, myself, and all 4 speakers were 6.5". It set me back about an extra 3-4 hours making wooden frames so the 6s fit securely.

Stock are 6.5 inch all round. 6s will go in with a bit of stuffin around as the mounting holes will obviously be in different places.

re-gap the spark plugs to 0.8mm.

BMT in Fairfield seem to be the shnitz. I'm gonna try and get down there this week and have them put a few bits'n'pieces on mine. I havnt really had much to do with them yet but Sam (Dr_Drift on here) gives straight up, no bullshit advice.

Zman: Both my pod and panel are K&N and are made from the same material so I guess it comes down to surface area. The panel is only marginally smaller than the pod and I doubt anyone would be able to feel the difference. The panel feels like it flows HEAPS more air than the pod without a CAI.

You cant do much at all. The car will have to be to only one in the family/household, and the only time you'll be able to drive it is when it is for family duties (getting the daily bread, or dropping younger bro off at school for eg). Just get a car thats under the limit and save the hassle.

Whats with the 40L tank?? 250km out of 40L is not all that bad...its not great, but not bad. I regularly get 400-450km out of 60L, where you would be getting ~375km. The fuel gauge in the R33s is a little deceptive. The empty line does not actually indicate a full quarter. Mine usually does 350km when the needle hits the empty line, then 50km later the fuel light comes on. I can usually drive around for 30-50km with the fuel light on.

I asked Young & Crap to insure me and they told me to get lost coz I had 3 traffic infringments in the last 5 years (one of em was 57 in a 50!). Even Vicroads only hold it against you for 3 years!

Mr Rb20: they move the main light to the back of the roof opening and add another (smaller) light next to the roof controls at the front. Sunroofs rock! When you open the roof you dont get a gail force wind hitting you in the face, unlike opening the windows. Its awesome in summer. When the car has been parked in the sun for ages, all you do is open the roof and let the hot air rise

Mine is black... well was... its now midnight blue most of the time... anyway its a real prick to keep clean. Latley I havent been washing it coz I got sick of putting in the effort to make it sparkle only to wake up the next day and find rain coming down in buckets. Black looks awesome after good bath. Shame it only lasts a few days

A mate of mine went ages ago in a pos Charade stocker. The fuzz went over the car and couldnt find any reason to defect it, so asked him to turn the headlights off. The piggy walked away and spoke to another piglet for a few minutes. At this point my mate realised he was slightly blocking traffic so he proceeded to move the car to the side of the road and wait for sargent stoopid to return. The sarg returned and asked "Why were you driving at night without your headlights on?" My mate copped a $135 fine.... Just coz your in a stock car dont mean they wont use every trick in the book. He deserved it tho

Surely you must've noticed an increase in bottom end torque (below boost)? When I replaced my pod for a K&N panel the car also became more responsive, for example, the boost guage needle jumps when you punch it. Its also good to have the exhaust note back! Induction noise is annoying! My 2c: pods are a waste of money unless you have a CAI.

I put Castrol Syntrax 75-90 in mine and its very good. Now gear changes are silky smooth.... compared to before anyway. Its also really easy to get it back into first when cold.
