  1. I used Recaro rails to fit my Sparco Torino II's.
  2. Will read in more depth later, just wanted to comment on the drying part... I hate drying my car with things like squeegees and chamois. They need to be quite stiff to do their job properly, so they can scratch your paint. I prefer to dry my car with water. Will only work if your paint is in good condition though.
  3. Ok, didn't see the point of starting another thread so I'll just post in here. Did a compression test on my motor yesterday, came up with 180psi across all 6 cylinders with 1 or 2 psi difference at most. So I know thats good because they are consistent, can anyone tell me what the numbers are supposed to be?? Secondly, I did a boost leak test a well, dead quiet. So no boost leaks. Any other ideas? I'll try getting the car on another dyno to compare, but ive had it on other dynos before and got similar results to Hyperdrives.
  4. You're lost son. Go back to forums. Click Naturally Aspirated Performance.
  5. I used Redline. Gearbox has never been so smooth Definitely recommend it.
  6. Word of advice if you want to try white, it's not straightforward. The factory gauges have a blueish film over them, so when you put white light behind them it actually looks pale blue. Doesn't affect other colours.
  7. Ohhh lol, misunderstood what you meant by multi-colour It's a bit of a pain in the ass to change the globes, I got blue and want to change to red (bought new gauges that illuminate red so now it doesn't suit), but I can't be arsed. I found it damn annoying because first you gotta get the dash out (not hard, takes 5 mins), then putting in the bubs is guesswork because if you get the polarities wrong then they won't work but they don't have an indicator as to which way they should go. So you have to replace all the bulbs, refit the dash, turn the lights on to see if they work, note which ones don't work, take the dash back out, switch the bulbs around, then do it all over again. It's not hard, but it's damn frustrating. Especially when the FUCKINGSHITCUNTSONOFABITCH wiring looms in the back of the dash refuse to come out and you bust your finger open with a screwdriver trying to lever the bastard little clips
  8. Took Hypergear a week to put mine together.
  9. You could do it, but it won't look good. The cluster is illuminated by several individual bulbs, so you could technically replace these with different coloured LED's. But they will spill over onto each other and won't look good at all. In regards to the triple gauge cluster, yes it's possible, I have done it to my car. It involves cutting the dash to fit it though, so you have to be game. There is a guide on how to do it somewhere in these forums.
  10. Get NIStune, wideband, a laptop and start learning

Ahhh worst possible timing as well lol. I have football from 12 - 5ish. So by the time I got there, would be pretty much over. Oh well, I expect awesome pics
  12. I always find it amazing how many people want to avoid getting an ecu... Ecu was one of the first things on my list. Makes such a big difference, not just to power but to drivability and fuel economy. Why not get an ecu and find improvements everywhere?
  13. Whereas it didn't make the slightest difference on my car.

  15. For the price you can pick up a 32R these days, I would just sell and buy a GTR. Less headaches than an engine swap, especially if you're not doing the work yourself.
  16. Oh really, I wasn't aware it is illegal. Do you know why? Seems stupid to me. Those new cars using active fuel management can run on any blend of fuel, not just E85.
  17. +1, also keen to find out about this. I had heard about Caltex bringing it over here, but nothing seems to have happened with that.
  18. Because fishing is more fun when things nibble and bite.
  19. That's... Exactly what I said. lol
  20. Highly recommended. It is expensive though... So be prepared to fork out for it lol.
  21. Did it have a lot of green lol? I think 5WEET is the only Silvia that has ever waved to me.
  22. Nothing to do with having a turbo. When I first got it, I was 18. Cost me ~$1300 a year from memory. Now I'm 20, so it comes down a fair bit every year. Value of the car has been increased a lot since I bought it as well, it's insured for 24k at the moment.
