  1. Closed loop only gets used during idle and cruise, where the ecu looks at the narrowband voltage, which only fluctuates from 0-1v and can only measure between 14-15 AFR... so the ecu keeps the voltage in between 0 and 1 volt by adding and taking out fuel. thus keeping the AFR's at i nice 14.7/1 This is my understanding of it anyway...
  2. yeah good, just thought you started talking about your setup i wonder if they hooked up the stock narrowband and use closed loop...
  3. Oh you don't have closed loop going at the moment? i though you had a wideband on your dash? no analog output?
  4. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/10-Colour-Wideband-...=item19c0346839 this one 0-1v narrowband output and 0-5v wideband output. I shoulda gotten this one in case i ever want to do logging
  5. there's another model of the one i posted which does have 0-5v analog output. $294 del
  6. I might... haven't put too much thought into it yet
  7. LOL This is very normal with 190rwkw in the wet hahaha
  8. I use the 4100 aswell. just got it from Trojan in mitchell, reckon that's what they use for the majority of their skyline servicings and such
  9. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/10-COLOUR-LED-WIDEB...=item2eb09e11bf this is the one I've got. Looks cheap and nasty, but responds fast, is accurate compared to Ed's dyno one. and cheep cheep!
  10. because mine is a daily/streeter. so it sees a lot of time at cruise. and it doesn't seem to need all that much extra to give me a lambda of 1 on e-flex but yes I haven't done a full tank driving it hard 90% of the time. Will find out when i finaly get it onto the track Edit : Also consider 11l/100Km > 14l/100Km as a percentage. My consumption went up 27% Which is crack on ball park for ethanol
  11. still won't give you a gauge. does the v44 use the stock narrowband sensor?
  12. yeah troy ya gotta do a "normal" driving tank, take it further and just chill out sometimes lol. If your at cruise AFR's are right then you should see the same economy. But def get that wideband if ya gonna do E-Flex
  13. My first tank of E-Flex (which i believe is e70 at the moment) got around 14-15L/100Km (this had a dozen tuning runs but a highway trip aswell...) on 98 my average economy is something around 11-12L/100Km (all depending on how i drive it of course) Your economy is SHOCKING! look at changing your O2 sensor
  14. lol i got 370 from 50litres of e70 looks like you'll be in the 200's if ya go to Ethanol
  15. Glad i made it back up to the north side then!!!
  16. Yeah that sounds like one of us Old mate tomo picked the winnar and gave everyone the tip, reckon at least 5 people listened to him! one of em making a cool $1400
  17. It's on page 1.
  18. Nar brah stay for teh lulz!!!
  19. $5 bucks down on the sweeps at work... beers and a bbq up while watching the race at work... WINNAR!!!
  20. I had a look and there is no different address files for auto Vs man. So it's all hardware differences. could you get a log of when it's warm? You said "the flatspot is almost gone when warm" is this correct? If so it points further more to one of those Timing tables i mentioned earlier But without knowing the address file like the back of my hand i don't know which one might be controlling the timing at that point.
  21. Leave my little 34 alone!!! It's heaps better wif the GTR wheels
  22. They're probably pointed at the sky!!!! I'd hate to drive in front of you!
  23. +1 That's the path I've gone down. To the extent that i can change maps and tune my car from my sterio... But I'm always there in the car while it's on the dyno and learning what the professional tuner is doing.
  24. Good point about the auto ecu. That could well be your answer. If not, half of those Timing tables are to do with timing vs temperature...
  25. OOOOooooooo. Not good. I see where your talking about now. Here the actual timing doesn't match the timing map. There are a whole bunch of "timing tables" (I've only worked on my R34 GTT which does'nt have so many of these, and they're different). My bet is one of these tables is overiding the timing map untill the car is warm. My advice would be to try get as much info from NIStune as possable about what each timing table does and work from there. Cheers
