  1. I Think you'll find they're not identical Northside, you?
  2. +1 I want to hear some feedback from anyone using type B poncams in an rb25det neo. I'm looking at dropping a set in but are they really worth it?
  3. I'll to go for a spin with ya sometime convoy the white GTT's
  4. You spotted a car tomorrow???
  5. I spoke to the manager at caltex nichols, they have had the engineers checking out what needs to be done to the lines to change them over to e85 a few weeks back. So it's very much gonna be in by the end of next month
  6. So you are staying with the airbox? Kinda LOL. From the top it looks like I'm staying with the stock airbox... But infact there's very little plastic left on either side of it and no bottom at all. With a nice pod filter hidden inside it I was gonna build a pod enclosure, but i wanted to re-use the snorkel for a bit of cold air intake. So i got my grinder out and started chopping the crap out of the bottom half of the air box. Now i have an enclosure AND a snorkel for cold air intake
  7. Yes, the stock rubber intake (even with metal insert) is no good with the ATR43. I made a nice metal intake out of a 45degree 3inch peice of exhaust pipe i picked up... (i welded in the bov return and breather) to the pipe aswell. Painted it black and unless you really REALLY know what you're looking for, my engine bay looks bog stock. I even got the stock heat sheild back over the ATR43 with a small custom bracket I'm running ATR43G2 .82 Z32, injectors... ect. ect. My last dyno run got 266, with the stock (completely bent into an S shape) rubber intake and airbox. Boost dropped off considerably due to this will be going back to the dyno very shortly and i will be very suprised if I don't get above 280... The car feels WAY more responsive and more powerfull now with the metal intake Harey your dump will fit up, just might need to ask it nicely
  8. I did my sparkies in my neo det just the other day. my little 10mm hobbie socket got on there fine? this is with yellowjackets though...
  9. Sounds cool!, put me as a maybe at this stage
  10. LOL at the "Run ID" Couldn't get it to ping???? Nice results, i can't wait for my caltex to bring the felx fuel out! I spote to the tool at the counter yesterday at the servo and he knew f**k all about it and said it won't be in till next year This is one of the 2 catlex's in canberra claiming to have it by the end of oct
  11. This bloke i know called eBay has one you could borrow, He only wants $25 in compensation... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/DIXON-TIMING-LIGHT-...=item4aa46a0fe2
  12. It may get up over 10psi. I've never experienced R&R so i can't really comment on that. one way to check if it's the coil packs is to put (if you're not running them already) 0.8mm gapped spark plugs in. In a lot of cases this temporarily fixes the problem.
  13. thats very low boost to be r+r though. unless of course it's not a stock turbo? could be coil packs maybe, doing the standard cut out at 4-5k revs.
  14. I'm in the same boat. I have the walbro installed at the moment with stock wiring (I've also seen my car make 266rwkw on this pump setup with 12-1 afr's) But maybe I've one of the lucky dip good pumps that can supply that kinda fuel at ECU supplied voltage... I've got some cable and a relay and on the cards is take the car apart and run that cable to the boot for the pump, sigh. Does anyone know the current draw of these pumps? would hate to have a relay not capable of switching the current and fuse together, or worse blow out
  15. I'm heading down on saturday too.
  16. Mine was tuned at 11psi and made 215rwkw. Very similar mods too.
  17. Check the electrical plug for the AAC valve in between the crossover pipe and the firewall. Make sure all the plugs are pluged in. It could also be reversion, where the air goes backwards out through the AFM, did you re-use the standard rubber intake pipe? For the boost controller, run one line from the intercooler piping (or straight off the turbo housing if its the same as the stock 34's, through the 'normaly open' and 'com' ports of the solenoid, then to the actuator
  18. BAHAHA I knew i should haken my van on it the day i went there in the hiace!!! wonder if a slow deisel Kia Pregio would do many skids hehehe
  19. No one's mentioned the .63 rear on the turbo? Could that be the reason it's peaking at 5300rpm and not getting the results wanted? as for injectors funning out on that power, that's got me worried, as I'm soon to be on e85 running 550's
  20. YES IT CAN!!!! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Pu...g+turbo+back+in
  21. Odd question... Yes it can. But what's going to go in place of it in the meantime? If it's a bigger turbo then you'll have to re-tune to suit the new turbo. Then tune back to stock to put the stock one back in...
  22. with this turbo setup the split one won't cause any interference with the gate opening... There's no possible chance the gate could hit hit dump
  23. hmm good idea with the bonnet, i didn't do that with mine and i didn't notice it being in the way... but yeah the car was nice and jacked up
  24. Full morning? I reckon we'll still be going at this one till the wee hours of the afternoon Also i may or may not head out, hope this helps
