I sat with the tuner during the first tune (He hadn't touched a NIStune in years) so we both worked at it and got it sorted I've got an AFR gauge now, so thats cool. Now gotta learn about tuning the timing. It's pretty cool software, still have no idea what half of it means though

I still have the email i sent to NIStune with the picture of my ECU. 06 (in big font above the following number) 23710 AA500 that should be all ya need... yes it is a MANUAL ECU I went ahead and bought the software, having a great time hooking it up and learning about tuning. I think it was well worth the extra $200 or whatever

There is no more lag with a FMIC i don't reckon... I used a Blitz Return Flow type and if anything it felt more responsive than the stock one? as for gaining 36kw, They were off the top of my head. I just had a quick look and i got 214.6rwkw on 11psi. When i rolled in the AFR's dropped straight off the chart it was so rich with the factory ECU.

yeah the flat spot was tuned right out with nistune, unless of course the flat spot your feeling is coil packs... but you'd surely know about it then if it was. car went from memory 180rwkw before, then after the tune was 216rwkw. and smooth as hell i had blitz FMIC beforehand. the unit really isn't hard to solder up either, i did mine in well under an hour...

There are plenty of topics on what is the safe boost to run with the stock turbo, do a search. But i didn't want to run mine any higher than 11psi

I had mine with very similar mods running on 11psi with the NIStune. Really happy with it! Does everything and was a quick tune because it's already got the base map there to start with. I got 216rwkw i think on that setup. Now last dyno was at 266rwkw with turbo, afm and injector upgrades, it's higher now but i dunno what it's at atm... NIStune doing a great job with that tune as well Best bang for buck by far when it comes to ECU's

On this self tuning note... I'm also a newbie with a wideband AFR gauge, works a treat and is great to see the needle drop down to 11.5-12 when my boost gauge goes up but what sort of AFR's are you guys going for running full E85? I know 14.5:1ish at low load and dropping to 11.5-12:1 on boost is the go for PULP, but where did this figure come from? And how would ya know what figure one would be looking for when tuning for a 50/50 mix?
