  1. So I'm guessing they're quite pricey then too?
  2. Where does one find this "siemens ethanol content sensor" at?
  3. I'm back in town now and still very much in +1
  4. So far in the land of the hobbits I've seen 3*r32s, 1*r33 and 2*r34s All looked like shite
  5. Me + 1 is in! sweet
  6. Good to see some interest in it I'll be building my CarPc up over the next month or so and the fuel isn't avaliable untill somewhere near october, so untill then i won't be able to work out all the bugs and teething problems that'll come with it no doubt... Also those people running a CarPc, whats it like with booting up times and stuff? I'll be running mine as my sterio so i ain't gonna want to wait 5mins till it starts playing. If anybody has gotten around this with another battery and a relay setup so that the computer never turns off let me know. Also for the EMU stuff, if it runs off windows then it's possible to write a program to automatically connect and change maps. That's all this program does... just takes out the human interaction and presses the correct buttons in nistune on its own... Basically... So any automation in windows is possible, as long as the software to talk to the EMU is installed
  7. After reading right through GT's and Joey's E85 threads i have become inspired to make something more adaptable to everyday streeters wanting to run this Flex Fuel stuff caltex is bringing out. I'm getting quite keen on this caltex bringing Flex Fuel to the ACT so much infact that I'm looking at doing a CarPc type thing so i can change fuel Maps from the sterio/GPS/Touchscreen... Here is a one-click program i just wrote to change maps on the fly... This program automatically opens up NIStune -> Opens the correct map in NIStune -> connects to the consult -> Updates the Map and Burns it to the ECU -> Then returns to the desktop... All in about 5 seconds Obviously you need to have the maps pre-tuned for each blend I think this is a pretty good option for us running NIStune to take the benifets of Pump Exx fuel... for those that don't want to have a laptop in the car the whole time that is I also have plans to investigate the Ethanol sensors and make an auto adjusting map. This won't be in real time (like the flex fuel cars) but after you fill up run the program and it'll get the Ethanol content and change the map to suit the current blend in the tank... But one step at a time! So if anyone can see any major flaws in my plan please speak up, as I'm keen to get something like this availiable for everyday streeters wanting to run Flex Fuel Cheers
  8. i just double checked and my 98 r34 gtt turbo has nissan written on it...
  9. it's not a stock r34 turbo. Thats all i know...
  10. bahaha yeah ok maybe it was you. i dunno around 3ish maybe a bit later
  11. well I've already got the AFR gauge, and my own nistune licence... so that part of it is nothing. does anyone see problems in doing this?
  12. what about running a permanant wideband AFR gauge and tuning the AFR's to suit e70, e75, e81.2 ect ect? maybe leave the timing a bit retarded for e70 right through to e85, but tune the AFR's to suit each tank?
  13. arvo sometime.... after seeing your car in your signature i don't think it was you anyway lol your's is much nicer
  14. Now i must be really bored... Here it is in Hex 52A965114A51A9455654B2A1 2556995A565A35295549 20 Hope this helps
  15. OMG i think i saw a 2!
  16. I'm yet to make maps for anything but PULP atm, but will be doing this as soon as it hits the local servo in ACT. i was thinking of making a full e85 map and also another map somewqhere in between PULP and e85. What do you guys do when going from PULP to E85 and vice versa? a full tank drain? or just run it very empty and put in the different type of fuel and change maps at the servo?
  17. cool I'll have under 5kms to travel to get it but i wonder how the variance in percentage will play out
  18. pretty sure i saw zane on drake brockman just before he turned onto william hovel. I was the one gazing at the approaching skyline from the front seat of my new tractor van!
  19. there is another dedicated boost sensor on the neo, at the back of the block near the firewall. It is used to trigger boost cut (usually at around 1bar i think) And I'm led to beleive that the ecu also uses this sensor to adjust fueling. but at 0.8bar could it just be you're hitting r&r? when i put my new turbo in i hit this boost cut at around 15-16psi. was able to tune the boost cut out with nistune. Also it brings on the engine light when i boost past 18psi...
  20. i thought the r34gtt actuator was 5psi... then the standard solenoid bleeds it out to 7psi after 4500 rpm's
  21. lol told yas earlier in this thread!!!
  22. no way! go the neo25 for sure!!! someone was selling one on here not long ago from act i think?
  23. and skid you will do!
  24. on that note about everyone wanting a stock 33 turbo... how much interest would there be in a good condition r34 stock turbo with the OP6 rear?
