  1. Simple suggestion would be to learn Japanese before posting auction sheets in your carsales ad - buyers beware: http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Nissan-Skyline-1993/SSE-AD-3143929/?Cr=10
  2. Pree, you got some pics of the replacement process?
  3. Simple fix - sensor shit itself, probably, only issue is that tranny needs to be dropped to access it. Hope it get's fixed quickly. Shouldn't cost too much though.
  4. At the end of the day - IT'S JUST A CAR. Simple things like engine oil, brake fluids, coolant any decent workshop can do, any workshop. If you want tuning then it's a different story - or if you are mechanically minded and do lot of research on NAGTROC lot of US guys do DIY - lot of DIY guides on that site, anything from changing spark plugs to servicing transmissions. It's not that complicated as people imagine it to be, and you don't need a PhD in Jet Propulsion to work on it.

That's why I am asking to see if the were circlips or just thise little clips that go into the actuators.

These circlips? Seems like a really easy thing to do after it's diagnosed. NTB11_011 - C clips installation.pdf
  7. That was an absolute bargain - buyer is a lucky man.
  8. Can you post pics of the car, since you took them.
  9. Vic crew had 5 show up, Qld boys had 5 show up, now its up to NSW to do something similar
  10. I know, I know - pulling an ancient thread out, but simply revisiting it after nearly 12 months.....and..shock, horror looks like ADM-09 prices haven't dropped like a stone. Cheapest 09's advertised for 104K. Looks like Wardski was correct and the 200K price for new ones is keeping depreciation mild.
  11. First couple of thousand km's I only drove my 35 around the city, and yeah was pretty boring, but to be honest any car would be, and for sure it was too fast - couldn't really give it a bit since it's pickup is unreal. Then I've done a few mountains drives.... around 1300km's all up, and I can tell you that I was not bored for a minute - it was definitely the best car I have ever driven, fast, engaging, but was still a bit too quiet with its 88dBa stock exhaust. For sure I can see that 35 needs some room to get its legs stretched and to get into the groove - and for sure I reckon track days are a must - but they are a must for any performance driver with a fast car these days if you don't want your car impounded.
  12. There are some great bargains to be had with 2nd hand ones - with 50K depreciation already gone you really can't go wrong if you get a nice one with full service history. If you plan on modifying it.........and trust me you won't want it stock for too long........then 2nd hand is the perfect choice - nice 2011 or 2012 is a very nice car.
  13. Rear seats are good enough for a baby seat or two...and that's about it.
  14. Cobb makes catted midpipe. Post some pics up of your downpipes. Where did you get them from.
  15. That Lancia looks great - jimp.
  16. Any news regarding this?
  17. When there is a shit fight everyone gets covered in shit. Forged will lose bucketloads because of this.
  18. Damnnnnnn..........there is some dodgy work performed there. I also read those two posts about 350ZTT and the G37 getting some work at Forged - dodgy as...reminds me of a famous in the 90's shop here in Melb that fitted some dodgy Chinese turbo to my mates car instead of the Garrett turbo he paid for. Luckily he took the heat shields off to check it out and it wasn't the correct hardware. Their excuse was that they made a mistake.. Gotta be careful everywhere.
  19. Good luck with that mate, hope its nothing too $$$$$$$.

And if it is the clips as Brockas said just search for the following TSB: NTB11_011. GT-R Life forum transmission section has it - it seems straight forward fix. Clips are cheap too.

Just Jap Racing, is your workshop Dodson certified/trained to repair GR6 transmissions?
  24. decatted downpipes and a catted midpipe is something lot of guys in US also do. Helps with the hot footwell
  25. Wardski, you know they had quite an extensive poll on GTRlife forum, and I think they ended up with the result where 0.4% of people had any sort of issues with the tranny, and most of them were cars with extensive modifications and lot of track work. True, some cars were just road driven and they had issue but I don't think tranny will break if you just look at it
