Sounds strangely similar to the two R35s stolen a few weeks ago. Early morning, broke into house, stole keys, raped the cars then they were found again. If I ever find someone in the act of stealing a car or talking about it, i'm gonna really have to control myself, I could well turn violent "We stopped checking for monsters under the bed when we realised they are actually living among us, neighbors, co-workers..."

Hey guys, these are some FRONT coilovers to suit an S14 or S15. May fit S13 too but not sure. Were going to make some custom strut tops and fit them to my x-trail but have changed my plans. They have 8kg springs AFAIK. Located in Perth, WA (northern Suburbs) Willing to post at buyers expense. Asking $400, which is exactly what i bought them for 4 weeks ago. Cam

P.s. for the mathematically minded fellas out there, I've always struggled with understanding the relationship between power and torque... I know the power is the amount of work done with respect to time, and that torque is a rotation force, but dont understand how they interact!? If is accurate to say that torque is the derivative of power with respect to engine RPM???
-
mean best torque the point at which, as you advance ign timing, the engine makes the best torque. say at 3,000 rpm and 10deg timing, the engine makes 200nm, 12deg might make 205nm, 14deg makes 207nm, then 16 deg makes 205nm, then your ign timing for MBT is between 14 and 16deg. happy to be proven wrong, thats just how I understand it...

I work at Repco and Barbagallo raceway on the weekends, I've only ever heard bad things about castrol and valvoline oils, and most of our trade customers swear by Penrite oils. after what i've heard i'll never again put castrol oils through my engine... I use penrite SIN range on my car too. At barbagallo I only ever seem to see empty Motul or Penrite bottles... All that said, i'm still yet to see a convincing piece of real world evidence that one oil is better than others, just stories from mates of mates etc...

most places charge 180-220 an hour for dyno tuning... greddy e-manage is a piggyback, so you wont need an entire map done, so i'd say only 1-3 hours max?

Turbo X-trail
StealthX replied to StealthX's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Car is now for sale Time to move on. Im addicted to spending money on this car, and I need to save for a holiday + house. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/369853-eoi-nissan-x-trail-turbo/page__p__5894965__fromsearch__1#entry5894965 Cam. -
Hey guys, thinking of moving on from my car now, it's been almost 2 years now since buying the car, started life in NSW, has had two owners before me who had looked after the car religiously. Nissan X-Trail 8/2002 build Ti-L model 2.5L QR25DE 5sp Manual 4wd 150k kms, motor is still strong, does not consume oil, water, no smoke, no blow-by, starts fine etc, no signs of abnormal wear. still returning 11-12L/100km, can get below 10l/100 on highway trips, never had a tank over 12.5L/100kms... always serviced with synthetic oils, specifically penrite SIN, always run on 98 octane fuel. All fluids and filters have been replaced recently, car will have new g/box, transfer and rear diff oil soon. Car has been turbocharged for just over 50,000kms now, not a single peep of complaint from gearbox, motor or diffs, had been very reliable Only selling to make way for a new project. Factory options: Leather seats Massive sunroof cruise control climate control Mods: Garrett GT2860rs 0.86 a/r turbo, 10psi braided fuel, water and oil lines. Godspeed manifold custom 3" exhaust and 3.5" cat by Kermit Tial MVS gate and screamer FMIC, 2.5" piping GFB BOV WRX 440cc injectors Walbro 255lph fuel pump EMS stinger ECU road tuned by me, original tune by Andrew @ Hypredrive LC-1 wideband controller wired in to the EMS X-treme HD clutch X-treme lightweight chromoly flywheel 18" X 8.5" koya drifteks Achilles 235/50 tyres, 90% tread Eyelids Lowered 65mm on Kmac springs Eclipse head unit, coustic amp, pioneer sub oil pressure, boost and battery voltage gauges Battery relocation including vented box, circuit breaker. Car makes about 280hp at the front wheels and 250hp at all four on 10 psi boost. Car is getting a dyno run sometime soon. Still has room to go, these motors are pretty much bulletproof below 300whp... pics: The mods are not currently legal, but all that's involved in getting it engineered is a noise test (car will only need another small muffler to pass this) and an emissions test, which it should pass confidently. Everything else is legal once signed off by an engineer. In 2 years of owning the car, I've never been pulled over, the car doesn't attract much attention at all. Car has never been crashed and has rarely been taken offroad. Asking $18,000 obo or swaps for a V35 skyline coupe, preferably 350gt and manual. (show me what you've got and I may consider) Located in Perth, WA (northern suburbs) Just testing the waters atm, no rush to sell yet. Cam p.s. msg/call 0424438501 for more info.

Repco tools have a lifetime warranty, heaps of our trade customers use them, i've only ever seen one repco tool come back for a warranty claim, and the guy had welded an extension onto it, so welding something on it must have weakened it... Repco sells Sidchrome stuff too...

Rowan can you give us nervous folk a run down of the police activity tomorrow? I'm guessing they've been notified but what's the guarantee they're not just gonna block off the exits and go crazy with the stickers? I know if you don't drive like a douche, 99/100 times you'll be fine, but I think we all know what cops are like when it comes to Jap cars... Worried enthusiast is worried.

Hey bro ask chuckie. Yellow stagea, talks in CAPITALS all the time... Lol. I had a chat with him ages ago saying he gets his oil analyzed every 5k and thus reckons he can get away with 20k KMs... Someone at work (repco) mentioned these guys: http://www.oilcheck.com.au/contact-us/index.html They've got a Perth branch...

Two GT30 sized turbines at the least! Smaller than that and you'll get restrict the exhaust too much, then EGTs will be high too. You'll have to retard the ignition and so won't make much power especially at high rpms. Twin gtx3071s *drool*

See that eBay link? $11 US for approx 10 rods... Looks like one does a fair bit too... You don't need an oxy set-up, just a butane torch... I've bought some for the sole purpose to re-doing my intercooler piping and making an airbox, so I'll update in this thread how I go!

Bump, does no one even think this is remotely cool?

www.durafix.com Discuss! p.s. I barely got half way through the vid and I skipped ahead to eBay and bought a pack of 20! p.p.s. if anyone is concerned about strength, there's another video when a guy has welded 10mm plates of ally together at right angles, smacks one side with a hammer and the ally begins to bend before the weld fails! p.p.p.s. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270768970566&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_3105wt_1139
