Old vs new: screamer: Kermit's work is amazing. mad skills! Helped me put my car back together for like,4 hours longer than expected. lifesaver. Only problem is, the studs in the turbo -. dump are crap one stud is too small and doesn't hold on properly, so the dump has a tiny leak, you can't really hear it at all, only feel it. got some replacements, just gotta take the whole exhaust side apart again gate sounds sick, fucking love it haha now I get full boost (11psi) alot earlier at about 3000 rpm, so I've gained about 600rpm in response, and alot more torque. 1st and 2nd gear are useless on boost and 3rd pulls hard. NEED suspension mods! Wish Hotbits would pull their finger out of their ass and let me order the coilovers! they "can't get them in from malaysia at the moment" Fark. -

Pics of Kermit's amazing work to come tomorrow. Sounds awesome, had many a lol playing with a poor unsuspecting falcon on the way home hahah -
Good auto knowledge coupled with some good resources on the net, you can be doing basic tuning easily I reckon. There's thing that you can't really do on the street like playing with ignition timing - you need a dyno to measure power to find MBT timing. Buy yourself an Innovate LC1 wideband kit, mine works flawlessly, people suggest other brands though. Laptop + .tuning software + data logger you can pretty well tune your car. not that hard. cruising: 14-15, 0psi: 12-13 boost: 11-12. for cold start you'll need about 15-20% more fuel, then it's just a case of setting rev limiters, idle things, accel pump and thermo controls, all easy to pick up. well, that's what I did anyway

2nd year mech engineering wont bag you the experience to build an engine bro. I've done about half of an automotive engineering course, and I still wouldn't build an entire engine myself. It requires specialty tools and skills that you can't get from anywhere but an engine builder. I'm not saying don't have a go, but don't expect it to last that many KMs if it's built in a backyard, and I think it's gonna cost ya a bit more than a student budget will stretch to build a reliable 26/30. save up and let a performance workshop/machinist build it, by all means put it in yourself etc, but I don't think you realise the work involved for a 26/30 build. good luck champ!

V12 century? -
True. But. I see Soo many bogan dickheads in commodores sniffing up peoples asses, changing lanes with no indicator and using an unsafe gap etc... There's definitely a higher proportion of farkwit drivers in commonwhores than any other cars... And it's ALWAYS the same bogan tradey type behind the wheel. f**k it makes me angry. What's even worse is that's it's considered a status symbol amongst the bogan to have a Commodore/falcon. Sorta along the lines of commodore = instant masculinity, so every second prick screaming for acceptance on the worksite/in the workshop with his colegues, MUST drive one, and MUST drive it like a farktard.

Saw this advertised at my old work. Looked like a f**king sick idea. What's the hourly rate for a bay like yours (hoist)?

What a helpful young lad. Rowan, you would make your mum proud. Haha -
Don't boost the 25 turbo much past 11psi, they def break their turbine wheel at that boost. It won't last long at 1 bar...
-
Smart lad. Good luck, Just outta curiosity, how old are you?
-
Lol such an unnecessary dick around. Sell current car Buy GTS Spend saved monies on wheels and suspension Sleep well at night knowing you havnt ruined a completely good GTSt Profit, get bitches. Or, you could completely ignore us and do it anyway, your choice,
-
should be 3 bar or about 43psi.

I may be barking up the wrong tree here, but does it pain you to talk/type in a friendly/non-threatening tone? Yes, your posts are very informative, but you almost always talk down to everyone who has less knowledge than you, sorry just pointing it out.

This sorta of thing can't be done for cheap mate. you'd need a completely custom made intake manifold, serp belt, mounting, pipeworks etc... Not to mention engine management, injectors, intercooler... For a complete working supercharger system on a V35 you'd be looking at 6k at the cheapest. Gains vs. money you're FAR better going for a turbo set-up. Supercharger set-ups are very expensive for not much gain. here's a brief rundown of the things you'd need: Turbo: GT30 or larger - $1700 Exhaust manifolds and dump pipe, TBE exhaust - $2500 Injectors: depending on power goal, 550cc or larger - $400 Engine management: Standalone at the least. think Haltech, pretty sure they have an engine computer to suit a fly-by-wire throttle, if your car is auto then GReddy E-Manage Ultimate is your only option - $1400 Tuning: $800 Z32 AFM: $300 Intercooler + piping: $100 The rest: gauges, maybe fuel pump, fittings, oil and water lines, adapters, oil filter sandwich - $500 Add labor if not doing it all yourself: $1000-2000 Then after the engine you'll definitely want to spend some money on your brakes, suspension and auto box upgrades. Slotted rotors and premuim quality pads, stiffer springs/coilovers etc... Before you know it, there goes 10k, and trust me, you wouldn't wanna do it for any less, cos you'd have a shit car with reliability problems.

Attempted Break In + Possible Casing Of House

Thing like this make me loose my faith in society.... Anything damaged/stolen Rowan? -
I swear our roads are getting worse. Coming home from work today I saw a cunt in an bogan boat (VE SS ute with chev badges) sniffing up people's asses, swerving in and out of lanes, must've changed lanes 20 times within a few KMs. I may rant on about it, but it's definitely the bogan Aussie "my-dick-is-bigger-than-yours" mentality that causes these accidents. MAKES ME SOO f**kING ANGRY. RIP innocent citizen.

Is This Possible Or Has It Been Done?
StealthX replied to BL35ED's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Bro seriously, you can still sell all that gear and buy some top feed injectors! It'll only cost ya a few more hundred dollars, instead of weeks of headf**k. I dunno why you've gone to all this hassle when you could've bought the right injectors in the first place? There's no guarentee that the R33 idle valve will be controlled exactly the same as the R34 one. It might have a different plug and different ECU signal. I can foresee soo much fail in this set-up! -
