  1. Hey kids. Making up a new exhaust. Sick of the fart cannon and the drone. Getting this: eBay And this for the tip: eBay These two are to go along with my external wastegate and new 3" dump, a nice smick, subtle new exhaust, exactly what the doctor ordered for my ears and the sanity of my passengers, they're sick of the drone too... (i.e. girlfriend) God I love eBay :)
  2. ohh god, if this guy's serious...
  3. f**ked AFM or throttle sensor? How does it idle?
  4. Look on the exhaust side, the compressor housing marking mean shit all. Does it say OP6 anywhere on the exhaust side? Might help to post some more pictures, oh, and some grammar helps too, your sentences are hard to read.
  5. T28s are bigger and would make more power, but with the trade off or more lag, but in a GTR sense, the difference in lag is negligible. I wouldn't be putting t25s on a GTR, you'll be downgrading, and will end up with less power. Turbos "lasting" is generally up to a few things, boost, oil supply and general treatment. If you keep them at stock or close boost levels, keep the oil supply clean and uniform, and dont rape the car when cold and give it a good cool down, the turbos will last almost indefinitely. But if you dont do any of those things, expect a shorter life. It's a bit hit and miss to run the stock turbos at above 12-14psi, but if you take out the restricter, and use the stock boost control, they should be fine. It's a common misconception that the GTR turbos can run more than 14psi safely, because some people think along the lines of: "two turbos = 7psi each for 14psi total", this is wrong, both turbos are spinning the same amount to build up 14psi, as a single would. If the turbos are rebuilt using steel wheels as you say, then you could put them on, and set boost to say, 15-20psi , some nice flowing exhaust(s) and make more than stock power, but anything more than 450hp is probably pushing the boundaries of the efficiency range of the turbos.
  6. She'll be right mate... Wont affect flow at all. maybe take the comp housing off and give it a straighten, at least so it'll seal with a coupler. Or get some liquid gasket maker (high temp stuff) and fill up the gap while there's a coupler over the inlet.
  7. Yeah follow the DIY in the Tutorial section on how to clean your idle valve. Or if you have a laptop and nistune software, have a play around with the idle control...
  8. aftermarket BOV? little more info on the car helps dude lol We're not mind readers.
  9. Sweet thanks bubba. Judging by the amount that I've been sweating lately (it's been humid as balls in Perth ATM), and given that it's been two weeks since the last pufferoo, I don't think there's gonna be a drama. Plus, im a fairly lean sorta dude and I have a crazy fast metabolism... Confirmed from my employer that there is indeed a test, done through prime next week so there ya go!
  10. Bought an IOGear adapter, works like a treat. Didn't even need to install the driver software for it to work! Thanks for the help guys.
  11. LSD is probably the cheapest and most effective way to gain more traction. You could pick up an LSD centre for the stock diff for less that the cost of two new rear tyres. Even the factory GTT diff would be good...
  12. I've had dreams of parking my car in an obvious spot, then hiding in the bushes waiting for someone to do something, just so I can ambush the f**kers and to go town on them... Whatever problems you guys have with your cars, amplify that by 10, and then you'll have what I get. My car seems to attract soo much hate All of the dents an scratches on my car are due to someone not liking my cars style, and throwing shit at it, or intentionally scratching it. it's always the same sorta bogan commodore-loving cunts that I see...
  13. I was thinking more along the lines of mounting an aftermarket gauge behind the dash, then connecting the factory needle to the a/m one.
  14. Jolly good idea chap. Maybe try modding an aftermarket water temp gauge to fit the stock one? Use it's own sensor and everything. I'd give that a try if it was me.
  15. Bet it was some bitch in a Getz, who was in a huge hurry and just chucked their belongings on your bonnet, then dragged them off, ;kljgnsdlkgfjhfslkgjdlkgj CUNTS!
  16. Id say one or the other... I'm not a fan of nos or power adders that regularly need to be topped up, so maybe I'm the wrong person to be giving advice. NOS is heavily illegal on the street, but more to the point why do you need both? There's plenty of other ways to make power than using both at once.
  17. What do you mean by a "remapped" ecu? bro? You can't re-map stock ECUs. Every car and it's mods are different, so one person's remapped ECU wont be right for you. Buy a Nistune chip for your car and do it that way.
  18. Spent all of new years day with 8 of the closest friends and our old mate Lucy. She was flying in the Sky wearing a Diamond ring. Resolution - smoke more DMT.
  19. yeah, should be... cant see why it would be different, it's a garrett turbo!
  20. Still waiting on the gate. Ran our of money buying christmas presents... got a new job working in spare parts for Lexus, now I'm earning some decent money I should be able to get cracking with some more mods! still on the list: Gate and plumbing +3" dump Coilovers new clutch
  21. Why bother? I don't think the oil gallerys line up for the NEO system, and LOL BTW, it's a little more complex than just "throwing it on"... If you were to go down that path, an R34 front cut wouldn't be much more expensive. Listen to us mate, if money is your issue, sell the car and buy a GT-T, it will be thousands of dollars cheaper, more reliable, simpler and a shitload easier. GT-T includes different suspension, LSD, brakes and heaps of other stuff, so just doing a motor swap is only half the job.
  22. Has already been in production for 3 years and no word of any upgrade til at least '12. R36 will be cool, but wont be as groundbreaking as the R35 I'm guessing.
  23. Yeah all good advice, but I doubt it'd even be a problem at all judging by my lack of "exposure" to old mate mary of late. I'm still just wondering if the job itself will need a drug test included with the medical. I've done my reading, and plain and simple old water flushing out your system coupled with vitamin B and iron does a good job of reducing your urine's pH levels and content. THC is stored in fat cells, so aerobic exercise also helps apparently...
  24. Some of the expensive brand name bonnets have water channels that direct the water away from the vents (I.e. diverts it around them) I've seen one on a build thread here...
