At risk of feeding a very hungry troll... it should be pretty simple to relate which pipes go to where. start at your air filter, follow it back to the turbo, air goes in there. gets compressed then leaves the compressor housing (silver bit) then through to the intercooler, cools its shit down, then up and around past the BOV and to the throttle body -> engine. p.s. i found that pic in 3 clicks and 11 key strokes...

Eoi: Nissan X-Trail Turbo

yeah had a few offers for swap. 2006 v8 jeep 60,000kms, but I can't stand american cars... I really want a clean v35 (preferably manual sedan - 3.5 of course) to cruise in... Looks like I may need a trip interstate though, i see ~10 v35s in vic ans nsw, all in my price range on carsales... Sweet FA in WA. Car is not far off being legal, only needs a noise and 5 gas test, everything else is legal including battery box, intake, intercooler (mesh in front), guages and wheels/tyres. still for sale. $17,000 - looking to fix up a few little things here and there, passenger-side rear door has some damage, trip to wreckers is needed for new mouldings/plastics... -

i bought my innovate off eBay for $220 more than a year ago, hasn't missed a beat. has needed one new sensor in that time, fair call, i have a rich tune -> shorter sensor life. I don't know about the UEGO but my LC-1 has a calibration function, for every new changed sensor its gotta calibrate the heater circuit, and calibrate to free air. See if the UEGO has some sort of function? I'd be surprised if it didn't! I could be wrong though... p.s. martin, you could still have 12s and even 11s at cruise sometimes and could still return good economy. were talking maybe 10% difference in duty cycle between say 12s and 14s. its things like on boost driving that kill your economy - if you have a read-out, look at your injector pulse widths when on boost. At idle I get 2.00 mS, cruising at 100kms in 5th gear = 4-6.00 mS, then on boost it ramps up to 15-17, gives you an idea how much fuel is getting smashed in on boost!! accel. enrichment (when you stab the throttle, the ecu injects extra fuel for a few mS.) also makes a massive difference, I've had this turned up on my car fairly high (when i stabbed le throttle, i would see low 10s even 9s sometimes) and got shocking economy! Turned it down and saw a massive difference. from like 14-15 down to 11.5l/100km

anywhere of the burbs near water (river, lake or coast) are usually a higher socioeconomic areas, ive grown up on the northern strip from say scarborough to ocean reef, west of waneroo rd, and never had any problems, perfect area. in the northern burbs, west of marmion = rich, marmion - freeway = average, freeway to waneroo rd = cheap. greenwood ftw.

It wouldn't be actuator related. cos if the actuator was blocked, it would overboost. does it sound like the exhaust is leaking? what boost gauge are you using? stock? aftermarket? is it hooked up correctly? double check your BOV. if the BOV was somehow forced open it would recirculate all the air straight back to the turbo. you can take the AFM off and blow through it, the car will run like shit but you'll be able to see if the turbo spins. just blow lightly like idle. try to post a pic or vid.

Anyone Got Part Numbers For Er34 98" ?
StealthX replied to illuminatu's topic in General Maintenance
Ferrodo pads are shite. A budget option at best. I've heard of pads on a Territory last less than 12,000 kms (normal driving). Unless you get thermo quiets, they're a lot better. Bendix CT pads still take the cake for affordable pads. -

contrary to popular belief and despite all their marketing, Castrol oil is not actually that good. It's too thin for Australian summers and doesn't offer the same protection and temperature stability as the other synthetic oils. Of the common brands, Penrite, Mobil or Motul IMO. anything from 0w to 15w depending on kms. I work at repco, ill have a look on monday for some part numbers for ya -

Hey man sweet car. I've been looking at getting one of these too... I work at barbagallo too. I sell fuel every race day and tuning day. I've met dave (?) the grounds dude and I know Ben (probably the guy that replaced you i guess?) Good luck mang. -
They are for resonance. Nissan put them there from the factory to quieten all the intake noise.

Yeah I was about to mention a similar thing, they by law have to ask you for permission to photograph you. If you refuse they can't do shit because they have no reason/evidence to arrest you. It's an invasion of privacy and it's discrimination. If I get pulled over I will demand to know the source and reason behind it. TL;DR version, fuck the po po and the brain dead general public.

If you get a fuel smell after the replacement, put a little bowl of white vinegar in the car over night, absorbs the smell...

Might differ from state to state, but of course emissions and noise tests are related to engineers certs. An engineer wont sign off on a car's mods unless it has a emissions report and a noise test done. Don't know where you've read it, but you definitely need an engineers cert for an aftermarket turbo dude... You cant just wack a T51r on a skyline and expect it to be legal, you'l get pulled over and defected You need mesh infront of the intercooler for a safety thing, dont ask, but it's a requirement in most states AFAIK. p.s. post #5 of that link:

Choked to the max. I'm guess your ignition timing is abnormally retarded too? Can you buy replacement housings for precision turbos as easy as Garrett ones?

If you're hitting 11psi then I'd say it's rich and retard. It's a safety feature of the stock ECU, it cuts timing and dumps heaps of fuel in, would probably sound like you're describing. Turn the boost down or save up for a tunable computer like power FC or nistune. Good luck bro! Ps it's probably been happening lately because of the colder weather, more dense air etc. Same as always, double triple check everything you've touched lately...
