  1. Try taking it over the pits again mate, maybe even do the "emissions mods" first even ?
  2. Yeah there's a mod called "hurry up, the vultures are getting hungry!" Get matching coilovers and revert to A31 knuckles with 5 stud hubs! with different brands of coilovers (unless theyre rated the same) it must feel a bit weird to drive ? Should be making a sexy dyno sheet once all that gear is in.
  3. Wasn't trying to be aggressive man, but there's alot of idiots on here that can read a clear statement 5 times and still think that swapping to factory gear for the pits then going back onto the road is the most genius little loophole in this emissions testing crap, really, its not. You're average Skyline... pod, cannon, and PowerFC. Yeah, under the criteria, any of those are meant to land you at Kostecki's front door, realistically, it won't. I fixed your spelling for you, now you just have to explain how a BoV that sounds like shit affects emissions?
  4. Did any of you toss-pipes actually read the articles on the DPI site when this first came up? It only needs an IM240 test if it meets the criteria, ie, pre-89, aftermarket emissions influencing equipment, ADDED turbo's, etc So all you guys with stock R33 GTSTs really have nothing to worry about. As for swapping and swapping back - retard? you'll get another yellow, more wasted time and money! That's like letting Al Qaeda operatives into Australia just because they claim they're Christian now, bullshit, they're still filthy terrorist c**ts that will revert back and cause more problems? You're not clever, just fork out some cash, and get the setup you WANT legalized, then you dont need to pass the pits every week. Also, not every modified car needs an IM240, only Skylines, you guys should know that by now
  5. ..... ? explain ? There are dozens of panel and paint shops in Kewdale/Welshpool/Carlisle area, and I'd bet most of them are all the same - pay the minimum amount, get an alright job, pay for the extra service and get good results. You get what you pay for.
  6. Have Kostecki's bragged about any turbo I6s passing emmisions yet? All this talk of 4 second 15litre V8s passing, maybe because its their thing and all, but have the come out and said "We passed this 9 second quad turbo GTR running 2000cc injectors and no cat...AWESOME shit" I don't want to shit down anyone's optimism, but they brag about their V8 scores all the time, they dont like 6 cylinders
  7. Probably your EBC, the factory tubo setup takes around 1000-1500 rpm to get full boost under most acceleration. The reverse beep is from the time control module? thingy or one of the modules under the collumn, cut that and you get more problems, your main ones being your alarm will be inactive, HICAS will go off its chops, no auto-door locks when you start moving, no interior lights, etc its one of those things most people cut not realizing what else they take out with it. Plenty of factory similar RB20 clutches around, if you want balls, keep the hardcore clutch, you can compromise between heavy duty clutch and easy pedal with a bigger cylinder, Nismo make one and you can get it off SlidingPerformance. Check your tank and give it a good clean before the new pump, obviously, no point getting a flash pump and running a small bit of rust through it. Search this forum, been covered dozens of times of where mods take you, keep in mind our Cefiro's are identically setup to R32's, so just search for RB20 mods, same when looking for aftermarket gear, dont get shafted because you used a rare name. Dont go doing too many illegal mods, cops might be a while away, that means the pits are a while away from you if they do actually go out there and slap you around with a yellow.
  8. Soak in it WD40/CRC/ for a few hours, drill it, heat it up then drill it out. Once its out, re-do the threads, and use proper studs. If space is an issue, take the entire exhaust off the hangers and drag it out, gives you some room to work with
  9. Yeah I get what you mean about gauges, power FC, etc but I think it's suss that they break into a Skyline for fancy audio gear, which to my knowledge most Skylines don't have? Instead I thought most Skylines have a loud-ass alarm, unlike some buzz-box Civic that is likely to only have an immobilizer and 10k worth of audio gear. Which is why I think it's weird if they didnt touch the steering collumn / ignition or open the bonnet, they must have heard it / seen it at some point to know it was there. Ring any local joints that buy shit off the street like Cashies and report your stolen stuff, they'll keep an eye out for you as well (it does work if the idiots are stupid enough to try and sell it there)
  10. I thought if somebody wanted audio gear, they'd break into a loud Lancer. If they liked the Skyline because its a modified vehicle they'd try to steal the whole car or at least steal gear from the front end, not the boot ?
  11. My updates: New exhaust manifold and split dump pipe, painted ready to rock and roll, just gotta get the old dump pipe off somehow...grrr. Broken studd is OUT. Engine bay is getting a gradual clean. Should be rockin in a few weeks for paint and windshields.
  12. Aluminium bonnet with a sheet of carbon fibre IS legal by the way, if you're only interested in that dardy CF look.
  13. Immerse by FELLSILENT I have a new respect for you
  14. Then get another yellow as soon as he pulls out of the driveway again. Problem unsolved. CF is illegal because test dummies get decapitated, or mauled in crash tests Technically you can get CF passed, but to do so, you need to provide some department with 5 CF bonnets to test out, and then its only passed for that specific vehicle, not every vehicle. The cost to get it legalized would be ugly, if you could actually manufacture CF to guarantee it to fold it set places like regular bonnets do.
  15. Nice work man, not sure how easy it'll be getting the turbo and dump on, I took my manifold back off and mounted the turbo to it, then that onto the dump pipe...I know the dump pipe moves around a bit, but getting that lined up as well as the exhaust manifold might still be a hassle. See how you go man. That manifold looks aight fitted ay.
  16. I get trade price at Wilkinson's FTW Springs somewhere between $100 - $200 a pair, not sure on coilovers in Perth. Wilkinson do K-Sport, WA Suspensions for Tein. Certainly much cheaper from over East even after shipping unless you know someone and/or give good head.
  17. Nice work man. I replaced all of mine recently after taking out a broken stud (snapped inside the block, right up the firewall end), decided I wasnt keen on waiting for the next factory stud to break so I replaced all 12. Dont need to use an EzyOut though, just lock two nuts together and turn them until the stud turns out, then use new studs and nuts. What temp. paint did you use for the manifold?
  18. Each component has a wire you can cut to kill the dimming. Just pull up a wiring diagram, the wires from each component will run back to the same point. I cut the ill. trigger wire on the clock in my Maxima so its always fully illuminated when I drive with my headlights on.
  19. I believe its the fuel sender relay ?
  20. What have you done soo far?
  21. Cheers mate, will have a look when I get some daylight.
  22. ^^ Meant genuine shit off eBay, plenty of eBay stores have the real deal, but yeah, watch out for the cheap shit from China, the first sign is "real part - make high horsepowers"
  23. A BLACK one!! w00t. Lookin' good mate. Ceffies are fun with LSDs and stiff clutches.
  24. If its an aftermarket turbo it'll be expensive, stockies cost f**k-all .. cheap as chups bru
