i get around 550 ish i think from full to fuel light or there abouts.. this is driving not full city, but not highway, just general half town driving... it all depends on how you drive and how much you want to save your fuel.

dont look at the price of fibreglass and go, wow thats soo much cheaper, as you have to include the cost of painting it, which means they overspray onto your fenders etc to get color matching the best... last time i got a quote for this i think $300 was the cheapest.. ad that to your $595 gives you almost $900.. its still cheaper then the carbon at $1100 but not half like you guys are thinking

Hand brake adjusted too tight?
NFAA32 replied to Abo Bob's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
umm.. isnt the handbrake a drum style? so you saying the back brake pads being slightly on would be irrelevant? -
i have a steering rack here, due to mis diagnosis of my steering problem, it has no bushes, its the hicas rack tho... paid $170 for it 2 weeks ago... looking for $120 plus postage. email me : [email protected] cheers.

well. after all that we went to change the racks(well not me, but a mate) and he found that 3 mounting bolts were missing and another was very loose, and also one of the bushes was totally rooted... so those things fixed, means steering is fixed haha, ohwell classic scenario..

Help Jimbo - not urgent but it would be appriciated
NFAA32 replied to Jimbo2000's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
well there is a couple of positives in this.. atleast he a) has told you that he hasnt done PFC's before, he could have been silent and kept the car learnin, then charge you an arm and a leg. B) you obviously have some faith in him as a tuner to keep your car there and he would seem competent in installing cam gears ... anyway what i would suggest, is if you dont want to take the car back straight away, and you seem like your on good terms with him, maybe ask him, if he can charge half price or something as of your buisness, he is learning a new skill which can help his buisness in the future... i know when itook my car for an alarm install at local autobarn, he said he will only charge for normal hrs for installation for similar car, as he has never done a skyline before, (he did say bitch of a job) but he now knows how to do them (dropped car of at 8, picked up at 4) -
so are you going to tell the story here? without mentioning names...

ok few answers as i was into a mechanics today... basically r34 rack will not fit.. totally different (damn he had to tell me this, as now my DIY buddy has the idea that we should just change cross member in my car etc so i may fit the r34 rack :S ) anyway.. 2 wreckers wanted $350, and $400 for the rack, another place said dont have one but $130 for it hwen they get one.. they said should be one on a half cut coming next week, so i put my name down for that. egg silent. thanks for your help
-
thanks guys.. well sorry i was vague with description, the guys aligning my wheels the other week were vague too.. all i know now is, when i went to get rego check, it passed, and he tryed moving the bushes etc near the wheels and they were all fine, so my mechanic mate(cant do pink slips etc) said its the steering rack bushes(the whoel rack shoudl be replaced)... he seems to think that it would be better fitting an r34 for better steering, all i wanted to know about these things are will that require same power steering pump pressure as r32, and will it fit :s thanks ofr your help tho guys much appreciated. hayai32 - was that a brand new rack? or 2nd hand sourced from wreckers...

Hey guys, ive just been told that the steering rack mounts or somethin to that discprition are almost worn out causing a flat spot in my steering in my r32 gtst. Has anyone had this happen to them, if so, how much to fix?(or estimates of those in the know.) Also i have been recommended by friend of myn to try and source a r34 gtt rack, as the steering will be much more direct, has anyone heard this. also does anyone know were to source one of these, and the estimate of cost? thanks

one night travelling to surfers paradise from tweed area, we had these guys in a monaro, i wasnt driving as i had a bit to drink but even in currumbin were we were 2 or 3 cars back in traffic, he had to dump the clutch and do a burnout(for god knows why) and then all the way up, they were trying to race us.. at one set of lights we were finally matched, i told driver, dont worry about them as i cbf dealing with getting car confiscated if anything happens, anyway the drive of monaro revvs engine.. and almost stalls it(you know kangaroo hoping or whatever, its like a mili second away from stalling) , he then did the big fly by when we were sitting on speed limit 10seconds later, so we did the appropriate wanker signals to him(after about 3 or 4 times over the trip telling him were not bothering on public roads)we could stop laughing the rest of the way.. i mean seriously, i dont mind at night, on 'private roads' if asked politely(as in good nature) having a run with something.. but this whole, yoru car is shit, thing.. well i guess i missed that phase :S but whats with dickheads trying to race at every lighst after saying no already..(oh should be noted, all people in the monaro had beers in hand.. even the passenger was passing the beer to driver to take swigs )

post pics please

a friend of myn has done some research into it, and came up with use the stock runners with a front facing plenum works best rather then either bolting plenum to head or new runners... there are many companies who build plenums over here mood motorsport is prolly the best one i have seen... butmost workshops will either make one, or know who can..

you could always get gtr wheels with spacers.. that should fill up the gap for option 2... ive seen both these kits before through pics.. and if fitted right i cant see which would be a problem... 50/50 for em, but how much will your mate be selling copies of them for???(pm me if you have to)
