  3. Lets see. 1. Hot air being sucked. Cold air is good, hot air is bad. 2. The filter might just jump out, drop onto hot piping, melt cause fire. Fir is bad. I can't think of any more right now, but dude, seriously, get a pod and heat shield if you are keen on the sound. Don't just take the top off. BASS OUT
  4. Unfortunately not. the deisgn of the fronto of the GTR means that you can't do it with aluminium. Yuo can however buy a Carbon Firbe moulded uber cool thing for like $500!

  7. Mine doesn't raise, but it does stay unlocked.
  8. Just remove the material padding from inside the induction box, this will make it sound a bit louder. Kepp the lid on though. BAD for car without the lid.
  9. Get pics of the snails, like the ones that I've posted. The difference is really easy to see. On the VG30, the gap between the snail and the flange is smaller than the width of the flange, on the RB25 or RB20, the gap is bigger. Cheers Pete

  17. Hey abs. You know you want one! Think of it this way. Another 30 or 40 rwkw on your car will make it almost undrivable in the first two gears. Bad conditions, say goodbye to third. GTR on the other hand, you can add another 150 rwkw to it, and you have a super quick, no, stoopidly quick car, that can still hook up. But hey, there's nothing quite like putting the tail out in a RWD! BASS OUT
  18. I've fitted Tomei Poncams, and I also have an Adjustable HKS Exhaust Cam wheel. We fiddled with the cam gear when tuning the cams, at 4 degreed retarded we made same power as 2 degrees retarded, and at 2 degrees advances we made 30rwkw less! So we played around a bit, but ran out of time to set the exh cam gear to 0 degrees. Hence, I would like to try this and see how we go, but I don't have a had controller or dyno at my disposaal.   21. Hey ppls. Well, you probably all know about my loss of power after fitting the Tomei Poncams. Well, here's a question. My exhaust cam is set at 2 degrees retarded and the tune was done like this. If I set my exhaust cam back to 0 and reset the base timing, will this make a massive difference to my tune, and will I need to get it back up on the dyno and adjust? I wouldn't think that I would need to, as I figure the airflow has more to do with it than 2 degrees of cam timing, but I've been wrong before. All help appreciated. BASSS OUT
