  3. Snowman, You have attached teh event schedule. Not the results.....
  4. I had a great day as always. As always, I said I might just try to win this time, but as soon as I lost traction the first time, I gave up and just went for the biggest angle and the most smoke. Speaking of smoke, I burnt through at least 65% of my brand new tyres. And I need a new clutch But that doesn't matter, I had a freaking ball as always! Where are the pics? BASS OUT
  5. Just made the new Ghetto boost mod by heating and bending the wastegate actuator shaft. Worked like a charm. Now the car holds boost nicely, builds boost nicely, not as crazy as before because of the wastegate creeping a little bit as it comes on boost which is normal, but much much better than before I originally modified it.. But I sure as hell now want some anti boost creep stuff on my car!
  6. Hey peeps. I'll be bringing all the guides that I have to Deca so that anyone was has them on order can pick them up. I'll make sure to wrap them nice and clean so they don't get damaged.
  7. I had a play this morning. I sete the desired boost on the PFC to 1.2 bar. Car pulled hard as a rock, boost levelled out and away she went. Crikey it's quick now. Shame I can't use it on the road though. DECA HERE WE COME My rear tyres are shaking in their boots!
  8. Bass is giggling like a little school girl. How much preload in mm is enough.... right now I have like 10mm which is obviously too much.....
  9. J-Boy. Yep, but that's half the fun. saliya. I was under the impression that you wouldn't have a dog engagement box on anything other than a straight cut gearset. There's not much point in changing to og engagement with normal helical cut gears as there is no strength advantage. Straight cut gears is much stronger because there is considerably more meat in the gears.
  10. Hankook K104 They are top tyres. I use them for all my car duties. Should be about $180 or less for the 235/45/17 and about $260 each for 255/40/17 They are great in wet and dry.
  11. try this. Put it in first. Flatten right foot on floor. Accelerate to 7500 rpm, change gear as quickly as possible without using the clutch. If it goes into gear and makes a bang but keeps going, she's a dog box. If it doesn't go in, or goes in then shits itself all over the road, it's not a dog box. Then try it without the taking your foot off the throttle! On a serious note, you' know from the V8Supercar whine that they give off. The faster you go, the higher the whine. Like the diff of a fu(ckarsed old taxi
  12. Hey Dude. You would need to hear it when the engine and oil is warm. Mine makes a sort of a whirring sound when everything is cold in the mornings. It goes away as the oil heats up. I have a GCG high flow. I don't think it's too much of a problem. If it's a squeel, it could be bearings, but a whirring could be normal. Take it for a drive, make sure it gets warm. BASS OUT
  13. Well Holy Crap Sticks Batman. Remember I told you about my rattling exhaust and stuff? Well.... I just "ghetto" modified my waste gate actuator shaft. I driled another hole in the wastegate shaft just to the left of the standard hole. Took me a while to get the shaft back onto the waste know, but we got there in the end. Drove the car and holy hell, the response is magnificent. I now have full boost in every bloody gear by 3000 rpm!!!!! The thing is a bloody boost monster! coming onto boost in 2nd now results in wheelspin and massive pushing back into seat antics. BUT, and this is a big but. The MASSIVE preload I have put on the shaft now means the power FC calls no joy when the boost spikes as it comes on, even with with like 20 in the gains on the boost controller setting. I get to 4000rpm, and the thing just goes start/stop in a split second makes my guts hurt. So, tomorrow I will be re-modify the shaft buy heating it, bending it and only giving it a smaller amount of preload but still enough to keep away that bloody rattle and keep the thing closed and boosting. I simply cannot believe the difference. The thing is a total animal now! BRING ON DECA BABY!
  14. EGA41T Dude, I'm going to be in Sydney all next week. I'll be in Sydney all next week for a Trade Show at the Darling Harbour Exhibition centre. I'll be staying at the Holiday Inn, just accross from the centre all week, from Sunday night to Saturday arvo. Maybe you could bring your series two around on say Sunday or Monday night, and we can measure it up? This would be great if you could and everyone who drives a Stag will be forever in your debt. 15. Hey ppls. Well, Miniwog and I are meeting up at about 6:30am at the start of the Metro Ring road. We will be driving up the new Hume Hwy Extension/Campbellfield bypass and if there are anybody people interested, we can stop at the Shell on the Hume Hwy just past the end of the new road at about 6:50am. We would be leaving said Shell at about 7am. So if anyone wants to cruise up with us, that's where we'll be and when we'll be there. Make a note in this thread if you are interested. BASS OUT
