  1. Couple of clips of some track testing: RIGHT CLICK SAVE AS ME TOO And some more pics:
  2. What sort of goals do you have for the car?
  3. IMHO a well tuned bolt on GTR is probably one of the best all round street cars you could be driving though Jim.
  4. Ben, you know the answer - it's just not custom enough! Adam on a more serious note, you may have to decide between show car and daily driver, because it is very hard to have a vehicle that does both. The more over the top it looks, the more likely you are to be hassled by the police. Best of luck with whatever you decide. chops
  5. James, original poster has bought an R33.
  6. Big fish are for catch and release so they can be enjoyed by others.
  7. When you're through being a smart arse for 15 seconds, you might take the time to realise this thread was started FOUR MONTHS before the thread on NS you linked to - it was just updated recently with more pics.
  8. Just lighter, or are they underdriven as well?
  9. It's alive!!! Only running around 8psi apparently, so as to take the massive beating the guys will no doubt deal it.
  10. How have you determined it is a head gasket? Do you know how hot you got it? Hope it is as simple as all that mate, best of luck. Shaun does good work according to all I've spoken to that have used him.
  11. Spotted - Silver R33 4 door parked across the road a fair bit recently in Nairne. Anyone here?
  12. You're a madman Ben - I like your style. Rebuild due to "issues" or purely precautionary?
  13. You see there is about the strip length again at the end of that strip, then the runoff area after that (sandy). I'm not sure they'd get approval to run it towards the road - if anything went wrong with a top fueller it could potentially head towards the road, rather than away from it into vacant land as it does now. Also, I'd rather it opened sooner than after a full rebuild - I'm considering selling my car with no place to race. EDIT: typo central
  14. The biggest problem I can see with that idea is creating an area for sufficient runoff at the end should anything go wrong - the strip would have to be moved down substantially, and it would cease to be a part of the racing circuit.
  15. 3 days in SA to drive on a defect, and even then it's at the discretion of the defecting officer. They can make you park your car and not even let you drive it home if they are in a bad mood.
  16. Wow, looks like it would be a bit of a handful around boost time, 120rwkw gain in 20 km/hr!
  17. Sounds like a great idea, but that weekend is out for me. Have a great time guys.
  18. I've been known to play the odd hand of poker.
  19. If the car was currently defected, then I'm pretty sure the insurance company will deem it unroadworthy and you will have no insurance anyway. Also, I'm pretty sure it's only legal to drive home from the defect, then to and from places of repair while defected. I'd say he's unlikely to be charged with failing to give way to a car that he could not reasonably assume would be travelling at double the limit. Sorry dude, but if you were doing double the limit in a defected car, then I'd say you're screwed.
  20. My advice for a first car is to get the latest model Corolla he can get for the money.
  21. Beat me to it pk. Will be a monster no doubt.
  22. Do witnesses count as proof???? I guess credible ones will be hard to find however.
  23. I can't remember the last time I owned a brush/comb!
  24. It's supposed to rain all day and night for those that are interested.
