  1. Sounds like some good changes. Entrant judging will definitely put a new spin on things. Is the show still going to be called "extreme horsepower"? If so, them IMO I don't care how good a car looks - if it has a stock engine it doesn't belong there. As both Geof Hostile said, I do get sick of seeing 20 cars at a show that have a set of wheels, lowered with tinted windows at a car show (and paying for the priviledge) - you see thet on the street every day.
  2. The few times I went looking in there, thay had VERY LITTLE in 17 inch tyres at all - they said they go pretty quickly.
  3. Not a very common size, you'll be lucky to find two matching pair.
  4. Yes, I hear Wlaker do some very nice work. First thing to do is work out exactly what you want the cage for, and what regs it needs to meet (ANDRA, CAMS etc) get a copy of the regs to be safe. Then you can work out where to go. Also, if your car is a streeter, be aware of the rules for cages in road cars in SA. Here's an extract of the rules for vehicle modifications, although it may be an out of date version - hope it helps you. Basically a cage that meets CAMS or ANDRA regs will make your car illegal in SA.
  5. Considering theft risk is a major determinant of insurance premium, I'd say you can probably count on it. Although, it depends how many of these stolen cars HAVE insurance, and how many actually make claims.
  6. As Miss34 said, words are cheap. I heard all this stuff 2 years ago.

IMO a R33 GTST is a far easier car to live with every day than an early R32GTR. I'd say less than 40% of the GTR owners on this forum would use them as daily drivers. In the end YOU are the only one that has to be happy with what you drive
  8. The spread of this kind of misinformation is why the internet gets a bad name. Have you read the court judgement? I'd have refused to sell it to the pack of lying dickheads that tried to f*ck him over too. Bill Russo unfortunately got caught up in that mess by no fault of his own, and hopefully if he's running the show this time things might go a LOT better. As stated, please keep us informed Terry.
  9. Not sure if you are serious or not, but the photo of it on the dyno is at Willall racing, so they'd know for sure.
  10. Ezyreg was down all weekend due to the upgrade as well. All good now though.
  11. Paully, my 8800GTS box recommends 850W psu for two of them in SLI. Hope it helps.
  12. $300 is a real good price, for sure. 450 watts on a 12 volt system is 37.5 amps. You'd need a power inverter, like this one: LINK HERE They say 90% max efficiency, so it would draw around 42 amps, and I'm not sure what skyline alternators are rated at. Not a cheap proposition, but possible. Probably not a great idea for long periods.
  13. Insurance values and market values are different things. The price does seem a little on the low side, but I've always been of the opinion, "sell cheap - sell fast". I've seen too many people knock back an offer in the first couple of weeks, only to have to take LESS many months later. Not just with cars either, houses too. Ususlly all because someone told them they could get more, without REALLY knowing.
  14. Danh, how's things? Hope all is going well for you "up there". Selling? Love to hear about the new project!
  15. I played the demo and though the new MOH was shite personally.
  16. Biochock (Demo) looked awesome on my PC, but playing it gave me a headache. Paully, did you have any issues with Bioshock and your 7950GX2? - apparently there is some clash there.
  17. Spotted a silver Aus delivered R32 GTR on Cross Road this morning. Looked Mickey Mouse.
  18. If it's still a PITA in traffic, can I ask why you decided on a single and didn't bite the bullet on a multi plate?
  19. Car transport OUT of Adelaide is some of the most expensive in Australia, because of the amount of cars that leave here from Holden etc. Getting a car to Adelaide from interstate is usually a lot cheaper.
  20. I presume you mean "proper noun"? If you're going to be anal enough to correct spelling and grammar, at least be anal enough to get it right.
  21. And your current isurance company will probably do the same if they get a chance.
  22. I think your car is just perfect in the looks department as it is, I wouldn't do a thing to it. I usually don't like graphics either, but yours are subtle and tasteful, and tie in with the car overall.
  23. Agreed values will still decrease from time to time, as all cars depreciate. Unfortunate fact of life.
  24. Nice, now all you need is that reliability in the driveline so you can drive it. You'll get there in the end, and you'll be REAL happy when you do.
