  1. this is about the best pic i have, this was just a test fitting the reg just squeezed in there, you can see the return line goes straight back to the dampner and the feed hose goes around back of the manifold pretty simple..will have a gauge in this line somewhere too..was at EFI Hardware today he also does a kit to fit 55mm injectors in there...very tight squeeze but a nice kit..
  2. hey Sam pretty sure your FPR has a dampner in it anyway so you may not need it after all.. just found my SX reg does too, might ditch it as well..
  3. Nice.. I have seen that site, must remeber to keep an eye on it though. Luckily I got a good deal on the rail, still not that good though Also notice they have pressure regs with a gauge for 59$, the xspurts were 660$, plus you will need plugs, some new fuel hose and maybe some other bits n pieces.. But all up a top feed kit u could have for about 800-900$.. Thats Cheaper than new Nismos, not much dearer than DWs.. But you have better injectors than both If you use 40mm injectors, replace the bolt sleeves with just 2 of the original spacers that are in the manifold and 30mm bolts it sits snug as a bug in there.. But I have an issue now that there is a hole in the middle of my rail that needs a bung..the one supplied is too high Would of had it up and running today if it wasnt for that stupid bung I need..
  4. what he said...^^ drive carefully dont hit 4500rpm and it should putt around fine.. But you have done all that without an ECU..its never gunna work bro..
  5. or jsut buy a t67 and swap turbine housings..
  6. heres some stuff i googled earlier, I thought it best to keep it but happy to stand corrected.. Like most mechanical systems, the fuel system has resonances related to the length of the components and the speed which the pressure waves travel in the lines. The injector fuel rail is particularly susceptible because it has two closed ends forming a nice resonator (standing waves with high and low pressure along the rail), and a bunch of vibrating injectors to excite the resonance. The dampener de-Q's the resonator, it reduces the ratio of stored energy to energy dissipated. Any mechanical system of this nature needs to have it resonances managed, which is why all the auto manufacturers use them. There was a fuel system engineer much smarter than us who decided a fuel pulsation damper was needed. Without an FPD the fuel pressure will fluctuate (at a frequency higher than your fuel pressure gauge is capable of displaying). If the fuel pressure is fluctuating everytime the injectors open and close then they are not metering fuel as accurately as they could be. Apparently some aftermarket FPRs have them built in though.
  7. surprised or dissapointed?
  8. Is this labomba, barbs or some new troll i dont know of yet???
  9. just reminded me I have a 2lt tin of that stuff in the cupboard, next to my 2lt NT draught... maybe some other time...
  10. This gal, she knows....... how to be a man
  11. So I stop considering and got shit done yo!!!! With 750cc "Xspurt" stubby (40mm) injectors ,it fits like a glove And they told me it couldnt be done.....
  12. No, read it again.."Mazda says the BT50 pioneered (VGT) in utes "... probably not true either
  13. yeah all the cool kids are doin it these days and no need to buy a BMW to get it My Turbo diesel mazda tradies ute does something like it..called VGT.. "Mazda says the BT50 pioneered Variable Geometry Turbochargers (VGT) in utes. This technology controls nozzles mounted on the outside of each turbo blade, adjusting the speed and volume of exhaust gas flow to reduce turbo lag and provide strong low-end torque and quick throttle response." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Variable-geometry_turbocharger lights up third gear no worries drop it to second while rolling and it will leave tracks ..
  14. Hypergear rebuilds them for about 8-900..will be better than it was, have steel wheels probably make a little more power too http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/261613-hypergear-hiflow-service-continued/ or just chase up a S/H unit on the classifieds..for 2-300$
  15. just get a flange welded on you existing dump mate, flanges are cheap on ebay...will be the easiest way around it... Scottynm35 will do it for you if you SE melb...PM him..too easy
  16. I lost my SAU card too...I'd have to order for a replacement hey ??..
  17. ^^ "Prevention is better than cure" maybe thats a slogan they should be pushing instead of your a Bloody idiot or the pinky bregade.. These ads a very belittling to people and nobody likes to be belittled.. In fact this belittling probably does nothing but promote acts of spite... But who would look at it like that LOL...screw you Paul!! I'm not saying it isnt deserved as I'm all for getting bloody idiots off the road, but 2 years is a decent stint for only having 1 prior offence.. He did put his passeneger in a coma though.. Fact everybody I have ever spoken to that have been smashed into by another car there was always a drugged/drunken idiot behind the wheel
  18. Lol..yeah that'll do it
  19. ok found it..
  20. No, you cant tell by looking at them at all, or even by looking at 1 ebay listing.. But because i was looking for injectors recently I looked at lots.. I noticed he sells quite alot of injectors that look that look stock but flow all different rates..so it seems pretty obvious to me he is hiflowing them.. There is a few sellers on there that do the same thing..Five-o is another big seller of brand new hiflow injectors..
  21. yeah really you can fit one anywhere there is boost pressure..... you can use a few springs inside, whatever you need to get required boost pressure. if you dont have enough spring just use a decent EBC
  22. can use whatever springs you like..mine takes up to 4.. yes you can use a smaller spring..just need some decent boost control of some sort..
  23. yes..but the pressure will be slightly different depending on how much you have lost through your cooler.. Some turbos do come with a nipple there but I dont believe it matters..
  24. I will cross that bridge when I get to it.
  25. Johnno ports only have 1,2,3 on them 1 has a P (pressure) and a filter so obviously is an inlet/COM.. 2 is on the opposite side and 3 in the middle..any idea which one is which?? I have dual port gate will hook it up as the diagram i posted...
