  1. ^^lol.. JFTR, my change of mind wasnt due entirely to doubts on the DWs, though I did hear "made in china", but what isn't these days I Would still like to see some proof they are no good as well.. I just had other ideas that prevailed eventually...
  2. ouch... You are right though, its the old "you can lead a horse to water but you cant make him drink" syndrome that I suffer from frequently.. BUT...truth is I was still sitting on the fence about the whole thing and when I read Hyped post this morning and it actually made the difference and I fell off the fence. Also with postage (which I miscalculated) the DWs werent working out as cheap as I had hoped either..Plus there is the hassle of buying form overseas etc.. So because its my last purchase on this build and as you say one of the most important, a couple of hundred extra now after all I have spent should be the least of my worries.. I rang my injector guy to see what else he could offer and now have some special planned just for you... Its a little over the top, but the price is right and the equipment is good so...Stay tuned!!
  3. see another thing I dont understand is why, if these are made from new stock would they not go to the extra little effort to make a few more holes in the nozzle if it is so improtant for atomization and all.. I was looking at a set of 550s the other day, I thought were nismos 555s but they had a 10 hole spray nozzle where Nismos only have 4..I think they were subaroo injectors or somethign Now this should make car run/idle great smooth and economical, but would the improved atomization be enough to compensate a lack of fuel should I hit 500hp.. I guess I could bump up rail pressure but............ they were the same price as nismos anyway
  4. Do you know if they are a pintle or disc injector?? Any chance you could post a pics of the spray holes.. Also how close is the colour match to the stockies
  5. so your using em too Rolls, i did not know this..so how are they..hows your economy and inj duty and all..cold start etc yadda yadda...cmon spill the beans...
  6. wtf thats like 2.50 a litre..So you nearly killed it Jez...good werk and toffy that depeneds...do you prefer blondes or brunettes
  7. yeah plus it has the built in MAP, so you dont need to buy one seperatly like LINK..Its an awesome unit, HG uses one now too.. Shoot them a message at Adaptronic, U will get a quick reply . Probably the only downfall of the ADptronic is it runs wasted spark config for 6 cylinders, the Link has full sequential but I dont think it matters enough to warrant concern.. @ full price I would be tempted to go link but at HGs budget price its a winner..
  8. Q for Jez if your still listening, whats the injector duty like on yours atm... Is it even running still or did you kill it already??
  9. just found sidefeed 740cc DWs on special for 590$ delivered.. thats 350$ cheaper than the cheapest Nismos I could find.. postage direct from DW was killer...115$
  10. that sounds AWESOME!!!!
  11. ^^ok yeah thats what i do get.. what i dont get it is, ok the new sidefeeds are made from new stock, but, are they made/designed differently ..or.. are they still just hiflow units just made from new stock?? What makes them better than just a hiflow, cause hiflows made from new stock can be had for about 400$ from other dealers... Did that make sense also.. damn you top feed guys http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nissan-skyline-NEO-r34-Stegea-350z-370z-infinity-g35-bosch-750cc-Fuel-injectors-/170764359457?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27c2595721
  12. Adaptronic is just an ECU...Im sure any tuner could work with it..
  13. also they are single hole, but so are all the new IDs and bosch...so I though maybe they are using the same tech...its pretty obvious they are not just hiflows or they would be a lot cheaper, cause hiflows can be had for 3-400$... I dunno, im not convinced they are great, but just not convinced they are shit yet either and while I have heard some horror reports im yet to see any evidence...
  14. aaww... nice...so you gunna put it on a stock manifold or hi mount..you have an rb25 yeah..
  15. I am contemplating that as well..DWs delivered are about 800 delivered..Nismos can be had for 900 I believe but cant find them atm.. I looked into getting the bosch ev14s they are much cheaper and better ..then wondered if I could make them fit with a rail from a neo or something..but without knowing its too much $$$ for me to be playing around with.. And meanwhile it seems people here are getting good results with the DWs ..
  16. 1..need sidefeed though 2..aren't IDs just Bosch injectors?? cause i would love to get the bosch injectors but once again need sidefeeds
  17. Lol...yeah i see it...some reason my crappy phone doesnt want me to log in... But anyways, after harrassing a few members on here ( guys) for info and asking Trent, Im getting the DWs..1000cc FTW... just trying to find out how much postage from the US is gunna be as we speak..
  18. First off, before spending more money on flexfuel setups etc...have you considered just buying a larger turbo, would work out cheaper and more beneficial in the long run... Secondly, i think the SS2 would benefit on E85, the lower EGTs are handy with the smaller housings.. IMO...Adaptronic or Link...Link is better, many would say best , Adaptronic is cheaper..and probably just as capable...how much better the Link is I am not sure...depends how much you get the adaptronic for..at 1500$ rrp, i would probably just pay the 1600$ for the Link..But HG does good deals on the Adaptonic if you bought a turbo off him , which you have, it can be had for 1100$..absolute bargain considering its capabilities..only thing extra you will need is an IAT sensor, 40$ tops...and a boost solenoid for 50$ should you wish to use the inbuilt boost control..by the time you sell your AFM, PFC and Boost controller you would have close to enough to buy an Adaptronic off him.. Also the support on the Adaptronic forums is really good and your supporting an Aussie made product.... I swapped out my PFC for the Adaptronic,(more by coincidence than intentional choice)..I feel its the best decision I have made in a long time, built in MAP built in boost control, Boost by gear, eflex compatible, plus some other stuff I dont understand yet, its a very capable unit..I will be utilizing all of it too in my new setup .. I say Doo eeett, but dont expect miracle power gains.... Keep the Nismos..740 will be fine your only at 55% you got heaps of room..your turbo will run out of puff before they do...
  19. yes that could do nicely...
  20. I could do with a brake kit and a race seat...lol
  21. yeah isnt that the point I see he loves broad minded persons....
  22. That is the best setup when keeping the PCV... If removing the PCV best to vent atmo...
  23. ^^ either way would be easier and worth a try in the meantime just to remove the return hose to the intake and stick a small filter in its place so it can just breath atmo....
  24. rear housing is good for 240kw................just anyway get a big ol truck turbo, stop being so humble.....lol
  25. Soooo.. how far did you throw your phone???
