  1. I know a lot has been said about straigth cut / dog gears in RB26s to handle the high out put of modified motors but what about the RB25 gear box ? The RB25 box is said to take about 400kw, but what about after that ? Has anyone had this done ? How much stronger do the gears make the box ? Costs involved ? And what are they like to drive ? Thanks Guys and Gals
  2. He's in the US guys ! That means for him aftermarket auto parts are cheaper. Notably H-beam(like Corillo)conrods and fordged pistons (like Aries) are cheaper. I would not surprise me if you couldnt get a custom made forged crank and a crank girdle ( which usually helps the harmonic problems of inline six engines ) made for a RB30 and still come out on top money wise against the stroker kits for an RB26 outta Japan etc,etc.....
  3. Yep ! That was pretty clear.......not !!!! Did you bust the teminal clamps ( The bits that bolt on to the positive and negative posts on the battery ) ? Or did you bust the battery teminal posts ?
  4. Had the same on mine ! Its the factory wiring (?) for the cd stacker that is mounted on that side of the boot.

  6. You need lowering plates on the motor to drop engine back down buy about 25mm. I know cause this happened to me. Made a set to fix the problem.
  7. Got a Series 1 R33 thats gone under the back of a rodeo ute. Got just about all the bits I want off it. The tray has gone up the bonnet up the a pillar pulling the roof down then continuing along the side of the car. Bonnet, front head light, A pillar dead. Front guard, door, rear quarter repairable. Insurance paid out on it but its not a statutory write off just uneconomical for them to repair it still has all the compliance plates. No running motor in it as Ive taken out my 25/30 conversion out of it and put the original rb25 stripped short motor back in to hold up the gearbox to keep it rolling. Want 3.5K for it Let me know if you interested
  8. I feel your pain Dude ! I had a similar thing almost happen to me on monday. A semi decided to change lanes when my door was level with his rear wheels. Had to lock em up to avoid gettin mangled ! The rat bag didnt even indicate. Im a bit twitchy still cause about six months before that i got hit head on while sitting stationary at set of lights ! That put me out of commission for a while ! Glad your ok man ! Paint and metal are fixable !
  9. Circle Track Wheels - Seven Hills I just finished recoing a set of Super Advan II and I used them
  10. "Would they dont have a flux capacitor there?" Oh now dont start talking time machines on me now ! Cause Flux capacitor technology is soooo old school !!! Its a space ship buried under that hill I tell ya ! Scotty the Chief Engineer on the Enterprise told me ! Ok Scotty you can beam me up now ............ Scotty ?.......... Scotty .... ? Scot....... F#%$en !! Kirk to Enterprise ... come in Enterprise ? ? . . . . .
  11. No seriously ! The effect is much better during the day time as the alien space ship thats buried in the hill has a solar powered implosion drive that holds a bit of antimatter near a piece of real matter and the batteries are charged up during the day as it tries to make the the hyperspatial jump on a continual basis ! Hence the reverse magnatism thing ! Got that from a guy I know who works in Area 54 in the US !!!!
  12. Bahhahahah ! Ive been there like a million times over the years . I think the first time was so long ago i had to fight off a tyranosaurs rex ! ! ! ! Ive taken my relatives from Europe there ! Its been on the tele over the years as well . The hill itself aint nothing special to look at and most people carnt find it cause they just drive right past its as its such a small incline. Its really best in the day time to get the full effect. Take a soccer ball or the like and so water for when you get there. Roll the ball to what you think is down hill and watch it stop and roll up hill. The same with the water when you pour it on the ground. Walking around is a bit weird cause your eyes are telling you its down hill and your ears, that give you your balance, tell you its really up hill. Makes you a bit spinny and a few people Ive known have got sick from it .
  13. Dude ! I got one but its off a series 1 ( are the the same ? )and its just the mechanism no power window motor !
  14. Could be several things, maybe combined, maybe not ! Start with getting the battery checked then move on to the altenator. Next go to the air flow meter. There a bunch of connecting pins inside it that the soldered connections fail. I know this happened to mine. Also after all that check out your fuel pump to see if it aint on its last legs. Also the hicas light some times comes on if at some stage the fluid in the power steering resivour is low. Hope this helps
  15. This happened to me as well ! The clutch pedal box is held basically together with spot welds. Just take it out and weld it back together and go around the seams as well ! Works a treat ! Then get yourself a brake master cylinder stopper to stop the firewall flex. Nobody makes, as far as I know, a clutch master cylinder stopper ( Ive built a custom one for myself that stops all firewall flex ) Hope this helps
  16. Bollocks to that !!!! Its pizz easy ! I used bit of wooden dowl turnd down to the inner diameter of the bush. You pack the bush with grease and hammer in the dowl and the pressure pushes out the bush onto the dowl
  17. Ive just finished recoing a set of super advans and i used Circle Track Wheels in Seven Hills. They rolled out a dinted outer and machined out the gutter scrapes for me
  18. "Apexi EVC (Exhaust Valve Controller, not working properly, needs some TLC) - $110" Dude ! What diameter is it ? 3" , 3.5 "
  19. Seriers 1 ? 2 ? I got a spare one that im stripping and repainting in matt black at the moment ! Interested ? Where abouts in Sydney are you ?
  20. Had the same problem a little while ago ! Best battery I found was Supercharge Gold 36 from Peps Autospares for about $125. Its 710 cold crank amps ( Stock Skyline ones are about 280 ! ) Cold cramps (CCA ) is the number of times that the battery can crank the motor over from dead cold before it goes flat. Make sure you get a negative left hand terminal. The battery is a low maintaince sealed unit and comes with a 36 month warranty. Oh and you gotta get a larger battery bracket Hope this helps
  21. I got a brand new head gasket for one. $85.
  22. Dude ! He didnt give you the defect for the noise out of the exhaust ( "Mr I kill tyres for a living ! ) it was for the noise of the tyres screeeeeeeeeeeeming into the corners ! I know cuase I was there ! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . And denile aint just a river in Africa !
