    Freak Out

Hate to burst your bubble of denile Liner Dudes but this actually happened to me (but I aint on my Ps). Got pulled over in my Line by a RBT and was asked the standard question about drinks in the last 15 minutes not realising that lemon lime and bitters had alcohole in it . Blew into the machine and the cop asked what drink I did have cause I was registering ever so slightly on the unit. Luckly well under the limit none the less it still showed up. So be careful out there Dudes and Dudetts !
  3. Hey their mine ! What the hell are they doin in Japan ????!!!!!
  4. If you are overseas (I assume America ) and you have doubts about the pistons then why dont you buy some of the other brand avaible over there ? Like Aries or Venolia etc. I myself am putting together a RB26/RB30 bottom end motor at the moment. Its using Wiseco forgies and I have had the tops of the pistons coated and the combustion chambers as well. All the reports I have had about these pistons has been very positive so I went with them.
  5. Dude: Are those rear gards stock ? They almost look like GTR rears.
  6. Just did mine yesterday and used a product called T-cut. Its a auto polish in a red bottle works a treat. Just a bit of elbow grease and your done. Came up like brand new.
  7. Funny ! I was just having a discussion with my boss today about blending racing fuels and their costs at the moment. Said he used to blend fuel for the big petrolium concerns many years ago and still had the formulas. I said that they have to be non lead based and he said that wouldnt be a problem.Keep you guys posted
  8. benl1981; Dude ! I do new reproduction R33 knobs. What suburb of Sydney you in ?
  9. Hey Leech_, thanks Dude, the guage actually sits inside the Din parcel. I think your right but you'd probably get away with 2 guages there, a third would be pretty tough.
  10. Dude for what its worth do a search for the Wiseco piston people they have info sheet on piston specs. Someone in NZ, on of the traders, does make an adapter plate to fit the RB30 into the GTRs. Also do a search In the RB30 Conversion Post in this forum.
  11. Thanks Dude ! Like I said bit of a bugger to get it in there but I really didnt want the guage or turbo timer to be a target for thieves or the cops. About 3-4 years ago, I think, HKS had a very small boost guage but they discontinued it . It was about an inch or so across.Could get my hand on one so I managed to fit the 50 odd mm one in.
  12. I got a Splitfire one but it was hanging out like dogs balls so I gutted it out, bought one of those blue LEDs the use for your wind screen washers, mounted it in the center of the steering coloum cover on top, mounted the pill holder under the blinker arm and hind the rest of the electronics in the space inside and underneath the steering coloum.
  13. A 1967 HR Holden Special. Dead stock.White with a black vynl roof. Red leather Premier interior. Three on the tree NO syncro on first gear ( You couldnt be rolling and gear down from second to first unless completly stopped). Build it into a hell car. Had supercharged six right up to a Supercharged 5.7 liter Chevy in it.Tubbed, 9inch diff with 4.56 gears, two speed power glide. The lot. In the end a real hand full to drive ! It looked like grandpas car on steroids. Man I loved that car !
  14. For all you girly men who are worrying about the ferry you actually dont have to go on it just keep crusing past and it ends back at the ferry on the other side. I'll be going and probally early and do a bit of fishing as well. I got a AusDay Bar-B-Q at Catti State Recreation Park. So its one or the other or all of the above.
  15. Hey Ive taken mine out of my R33 GTST ! It was a bit of a job though ! From memory you gotta take every thing off the air con pump itself unbolt it from its bracket. Then move it around so you can get to the bolts that mount that bracket to the block. Then with both loose you can move the mounting bracket around to get the pump out followed buy the bracket.
  16. Dunno ! I'll measure it for you. It took a bit of moding to get it in there and the top and bottom 3-4mm of the guage arnt visible but the rest is ok. I'll try and arange a few pics but I got no camera so I gotta borrow one. let you know soon
  17. I put mine in the Din parcel thingie under my CD player along with my turbo timer. The lid closes up nice so you carnt seem them unless you flip it open.
  18. Nah ! The herd I seen was at Wetherill Park Maccas
  19. I have a R33 S1 and I wasnt too pleased with the method of hacking up your front bumper bar support, either horizontally or front on to fit a 600/300 intercooler. Structurally I dont know how this affects the ability of the front support section to absorb impacts. Also I wasnt to keen on advertising to every dog and his bone that I had a front mount. I really like the stock sleeper look. After much measuring I found that with very minimal trimming I could get the cooler sitting vertical against the radiator ( but not touching ), removing the original air con fan and mounting two 10 inch fans against the front of the cooler and hooking them up to the original wiring. Had to make a new bonnet suport bracket and made a stainless steel flat plate to sit on the top of the cooller to hide the whole thing from view if you looked down between the front grill and radiator support.

  21. I went throught the supercharging thing on in line 6 cylinder engines back when the dinosaurs roamed the earth. Admitedly that was on Holden Red motors. I really carnt see why it carnt be done now even better with the multi valve twin cam engines of today. Considering my motor was making 497hp and 523lbs/ft of torque on pump gas and even more on alcohol !
  22. Hey I had a similar experience at my local Maccas when 5 highway patrol cars and a bull wagon pulled in just as I was walking out of the joint and they parked all around my Skyline. I figured at the time "well thats it for me!".
