  1. I've seen one in Perth. Drove along side it over down a one way street with annoying speed bumps. Sounds quiet, very space-agey looking, like it came out of a big Jelly mold. He went over the bumps much faster than me, but then I've got coil-overs. Must come from factory faily soft? Seems all wrong for a super-car...making it like a sofa? I like my cars, street and tough; a rough diamond. These super-cars are fast as hell but somehow I don't find them charming or likeable, just like their owners no doubt.
  2. I went into super-cheap and their catalogue said QM1 paint is 'polar white'. So I bought a can and painted my stealth lip with it but it looks too cream-like in colour. The white on my car is more brilliant like a little blue. Anywhere you can buy jap spec QM1 in a can in Perth?
  3. Looks like China spec. Decent ones cost more than that new.
  4. I read on another site a FAQ that said to slide it fwd towards the front of the vehicle after popping the clips on the pointy bits by levering them up. Will give it a go sometime this week after unbolting first obviuosly. He he.
  5. Does anyone know how many places it is bolted down? Is it just bolted down one place on each side? I can see bolts under those rubber caps on the underneath. Is it clipped or glued down anywhere?
  6. WTF that is like 110 km/hr over the limit! You would get jail and a public flogging here in WA for that. lol
  7. Sure that is why arbitray police powers are bad 'cos they can be abused. Those in power are not always good people.
  8. Except when there is a Cop who wants to fcuk w/ you everyday 'cos he can...maybe it's an old school mate who you stole a g/f off? Now he can stop you everyday and strip your car to a shell all 'cos you love those arbitary stop and search laws so much.
  9. The graphics on the side are giving me an epileptic fit.
  10. I found this pixxor of an Mines R34 GTR replica. Doesn't look stock to me.
  11. It's a question of freedom from arbitary state action. When the state has arbitary powers they tend to get abused.
  12. If they are just pulling you over because you drive a Skyline that is like racial profilling.
  13. In a court of law that could never be considered reasonable grounds in itself. Why are they suspicious is what matters, the 'why' needs to be reasonable. Why? Because the Cop said God told him you had an illegal BOV? He doesn't like you face, or maybe he HEARD your BOV? Which one is 'reasonable'?
  14. I believe they need 'reasonable suspicion' to search vehicles, except for those new stop and search laws (passed as legislature yet??!!) which give the Police arbitary powers to stop and search in certain areas. So why not ask on what grounds they intend to search? I would ask. Why not? You can ask and still be polite w/out attitude. If they are difficult or whatever and refuse to tell you on what grounds they are 'reasonably suspicious' they I would let them know they don't have my consent and I 'd ask for badge numbers etc.
  15. Yeah they look retarded but so do WRX's anyway. Apparently they need them 'cos of the top mounted intercooler though?
  16. Yet you still see 4x4's and utes with massive steel gates on the front. If they are supposed to stop the car getting damaged by cattle and roos, what are they gonna do to pedestrians etc. But I guess it's ok since they are not carbon fibre right? lol
  17. Do any race cars run stock airboxes?
  18. Get a good POD for a cool induction 'whoosh' sound. Don't listen to this guy.
  19. Convert it to RWD then it will be as chuckable and driftable as the GTST.
  20. He's a bloke you're a women...go figure. How 'chivalrous' of him.
  21. Cops put the sticker on straight if you have been cooperative and increase the angle according to how much you pissed them off. I heard.
  22. Yeah what if it is parked on your own property?
  23. Unlucky indeed. I drive past there most days, never been stopped yet. I've been tailed by marked and unmarked cop cars a few times but always drive carefully. I've developed a 6th sense for the unmarked ones.
  24. I've worked in the Middle East and they are far worse...they are very reckless, but having said that they are predicable in being reckless and not giving any courtesy etc. In Perth though people can't merge I have noticed...it's all hesitancy and unpredictability; nobody seems to know what to do?
