  1. RIP. Cue the usual knee-jerk reaction from the media.
  2. Damn I'm pissed off. I painted up my Duck wing for my R33. All buffed and well finished, took a lot of effort. Went to put it on and I notice the thing is slightly warped and so won't sit flat. Each 'blade' is maybe 1 inch different at the ends, like it's been twisted. If I press it down with my a bit of force it sits ok but dunno if I want the screws fighting that as well as holding it on. I was just gonna use 4 screw holes with the bolt just loctited in. Can't see another way of attaching it short of gluing the whole thing down to the boot lid. I'm really thinking of throwing the towel in with this and just getting a body shop to do one properly. That or get a carbon lid. Major fail on my part. I want to take the wing, snap the fcukin thing in half. >>>Takes deep breath, in-out, relax...remembers anger management classes>>>
  3. I'm not feelin' the love for those wheels.
  4. Yeah how did you know? It was a boat I tell you. /How many race cars run air bags BTW?
  5. Not if you are running positive camber.
  6. That much negative camber looks tarded....like the car has rickets or something. Besides it compromises the handling & grip too much.
  7. They are not veilside.
  8. Still got three clips/grommets imbedded in those plastic retainers on the boot lip. An absolute bitch to removed. May try and get medieval on them later with a hack saw.
  9. That is irrelevant if they are using the same platform for everything from 'Mum's car to go to the shops with', to 'tough turbo street car for Bogans'. It basically means the platform is an utter mediocrity by definition.
  10. Are u sure?
  11. I'm getting a twin plate installed along with a braided line and a nismo slave.
  12. WFT you're gonna pay $250 again to give it a 'second chance'?
  13. I think Skylines look better with red tail lights to be honest. Clear is just a bit 'bling' if you know what I mean?
  14. Yeah we are. We evolved from Cerfiro drivers who we left swinging from trees in the jungle.
  15. Skyline aren't drag cars they corner well also.
  16. True, but some people have made shed loads of money the last few years out of the various asset bubbles. I knew one guy who spend a few years in Dubai as some sort of contruction manager and left there with a few mill...so much money sloshing about it was ridiculous. Also known people doing the sort of job I do who are quite happy to blow ALL their cash on cars. Knew one guy working in Saudi who bought an new Aston Martin for cash, but still lived w/ his mum. Still I don't think as a decently paid worker in the oilfield you could afford house, family AND R35 at 28 unless you had been able to take advantage of the house boom also...many have by sheer good fortune, and now sit on equity of a mill or more.
  17. Sure it's got active suspension hasn't it? How chuckable and driftable is it though? A 'pure' driving experience?
  18. Sounds like he works in the oil field. Could be pulling in decent coin doing that although it's a hard game, may not be paying tax. Also bear in mind lots of people in WA have been fortunate enough to have made a lot of cash though sheer luck out of the housing boom. Having said that I earn decent money in the oil field, and whilst yes at 31 have enough cash saved to buy 35 off the showroom floor, I would never consider it. I don't have any equity in a house, and I want that money to stay saved if I get married etc or buy a house in the future. Waste in on a toy no thanks. I'll put a few grand into my 33 for fun but not spending 150+ k on car, if I spent that I'd be poor again! lol As for buying one on a plan? No thanks the depreciation would be insane.
  19. They can tell apparently if it has been tampered with.
  20. I'll probably go down to Protec.
  21. I was hoping for a close match allowing for some ageing, but this is defo a different colour. The colour/tone of my paint on the outside is not noticably different from inside the doors etc - where minimal UV light is recieved - anyway, so I don't think it is just because of 'ageing'. I read somewhere that JDM spec QM1 is different than Oz spec QM1 which seems farking idiotic. I was looking to avoid paying a pro to paint the thing. I'm a DIY kind of guy.
