    Money Question

I bought all my goodies over there on AmEx... Though one of my Japanese friends was a bit worried when I wanted to order some Ridox clothes online. Aparently credit card fraud is a big problem. My old local Japanese restaurant in Camberwell had a sign that they had be done for credit card skimming! p.s. Why is it so hard to get onigiri in Australia? I love it! In my opinion buying things overseas it really should be availabilty that is the concern rather than price. I will only really buy things that I cannot get in Australia as usually between being ripped off by smiling salesmen and exchange rates you are probably going to pay too much somehow. Though obviously sometimes the difference in price is huge to make it worth carrying around in your bag.
  4. Yes, yes, yes and YES! Oh thank God... nothing like sharing the pain!
  5. Hmmmm... aren't the V6 holden engines pushrod?? But yes, they are quite craptacular. Oh and THIS is my big one... Skinny guys with tiny heads who wear white caps. I hate them in all situations, but behind the wheel of a VN/S13/etc... they increase my urge to kill dramatically.
  6. Well the R33 is a 4.111 which would be good, the R34 has a 3.545 so you probably wouldn't really want to use that. The non-V-Spec diff is pretty tight, only stock diff I have ever heard skipping the tyres when you are parking. Very noice. In one of the early issues of Speed magazine there is a S14 with an R33 GT-R diff in it and they seemed to think it went in fairly easily.
  7. 1,500rpm shift lights
  8. Wow... I don't look at the forum for one day and look what happens. Hopefully the Vic section will calm down a bit. Though that said, I don't really contribute anything useful so I am going to try and stop reading SAU anyway. I just snuck back on for a quick look. Have fun...
  9. FSOM - Flight over Jerusalem Will E Tell - Sound of E (can't remember what name he used for it) Anyone else listen to Tranzmission on RRR with Kate Bathgate? I used to tape it every week
  10. HAhahah I was such a n00b... I didn't even know people took drugs until some Danish guy asked me for some speed then wanted me to sniff his cigarette lighter. I thought it was only in UK and Europe that they did that. Personally I loved the music and the lasers. I just wondered why everyone else could keep dancing so long!

    Defected

Apparently Carmate has rear flared guards for an R32... But yes... In theory 9" could be legal if what people say about GT-R wheels is correct. I mean it is complianced as an R32 Coupé no matter what version it is (as I understand it) so it could be ok. If the defect is just for bald tyres then you are fine, just get some decent tyres and rock and roll. Pretty much every 200SX has illegal wheels on it anyway. If you can pick up a cheap set of 350Z touring wheels they are 17x7 front and 17x7½ rear so that could be a good combo. Just need to find some 350Z with 20" chromies and ask about his stockies!
  12. A lot of the sh|t out then was crap too We just remember the good bits.
  13. Adelaide seems to have a big D&B scene... :band: <-- ignore that guy Coolest thing I saw was some acoustic D&B at Bennett's Lane... The musicians were all very tired afterwards as you can imagine.

Anyway back to the original point... It is 1 inch wider than the original rim width which is 6½" so 7½" As I said, you might be able to pull 9" if you base it on the 8" GT-R wheels, but if you wanna bend the rules, the cops will play that game and win.

*sigh*... let's not forget that he was actually asking about the width anyway! *EDIT* What WazR32GTSt said But yes, as for diameter it doesn't matter.

15mm is the difference in DIAMETER of the TYRE (you know made of rubber).

My opinion, based on VicRoads - Section 8 is that it is 7½-inches... Base it on the GTR wheels and you are stretching things and will probably get booked.
  18. I am a big fan of Goa-psyNRG... but only the new stuff. But in all honesty, I am just a big old boring 90's trance boy. Though you listen to the "classics" and they sound very "bare" these days, just made with old technology I guess. NRG can be pretty cheesy, but I still like it for a friday night. I like Jungle (specifically) and most D&B, but I have no idea how to dance to it.
  19. Cosmic Baby sold out when he did Energy 52 Age of Love was the peak then it went down from there... Hmmm actually I think Rock-it was the peak, after 1980 there was no good music. Actually, I think it peaked at Beethoven's 5th... 6th onwards really were too housey for me.
  20. Stereotyping is an extremely useful social tool. A sort of triage if you will.
  21. It was a joke, I was just playing up the jaded raver cliché... (hence --> ) I saw CJ Bolland at The Palace/Bass Station at the end of last year and it was simply awesome, mixing on three decks, there were probably 30 seconds where he had only one track in there. Simply the best thing I have ever heard! It has definitely moved onwards and upwards. Something about that room...seems to work for me. Maybe it was the lasers! Anyway, let's not hijack...
  22. The whole scene has gone downhill since Cosmic Baby played at Tom Tom's... I mean The Palace in 1993
  23. Didn't want to start a new thread... but thought this was semi-amusing. http://www-unix.oit.umass.edu/~thoureau/japanese.html
  24. Hmmmm on a semi-related note... Carpoint Ad - Anyone notice a problem with this picture? I pity the poor bastard with that number
  25. I got 9... doh
