  1. Was good to meet you (and your car) at the SAU National on the weekend Tom! The answer to all of your questions is http://jessestreeter.com/ - he is an Aussie living in Japan. He is the guy who got our lights in the SAU group buy, and he can organise you any wheels in the world at a great price. That said, the principal sponsor at the SAU Nats was Aaron from www.importmonster.com, and he always stocks great wheels at ok prices. As for offset, it is the amount that the wheel sits away from the hub. In terms of performance, lower offset is GOOD for your performance, assuming you have the correct camber so your contact patch remains good. Generally speaking though, if you are going to get better offset wheels, then you will also be buying wider wheels and wider tyres, so your contact patch with the road will be improved anyway over stock. A good website that explains offset is: http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/techpage.jsp?techid=101 Oh, and as I mentioned, DO NOT buy lights from the USA like SuperDry did - they are lhd biased to will blind oncoming traffic - VERY illegal. If you had an accident with them fitted, say goodbye to your insurance cover.
  2. Aaron had both XD9s and Work Kai Emotions for $1,700 from memory. The XD9s were both in white and grey, and I remember that the grey ones were 18 x 10 +18 which is perfect for my car. So tempted myself!
  3. Yep I will be at the Mawson Lakes Hotel a bit before 7am.
  4. Sadly those days are pretty much long gone Wayne
  5. Murry, I have recently done my windows in the V35 and it is the easiest job. Buy them from the USA and fit them yourself. First side would take you 1/2 an hour start to finish - the 2nd one you will do in under 15 mins as you will have figured out how to do it. I got both delivered for about $360. You will pay significantly more than one for supply only from Nissan Aus from memory. (They had both LH and RH sides advertised when I bought mine). http://www.ebay.com/itm/GENUINE-NISSAN-OEM-FACTORY-WINDOW-MOTOR-LEFT-SIDE-350Z-G35-BRAND-NEW-80731-CD00A-/190894087759?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AG35&hash=item2c722c9e4f&vxp=mtr If you want help fitting them let me know and I will help you.
  6. Yeah, that is what I was saying - the spring sits ON the red circled bit - so that is what you adjust up and down.
  7. Might be so depending on the brand/model, but the set that I had (similar to the Megan Racing ones in the pic) had damper adjustment, but from memory could not be adjusted height-wise.
  8. You can't move the strut body up or down. Whatever height you set the springs at in their spring mount is the amount the strut will be extended. It goes in and out of the piston at whatever height the springs are set. It does not actually carry any weight - the springs do.
  9. No you don't - the strut sits open at whatever height you set the spring.
  10. Almost all adjustable setups for V35 have a bottom mount that the spring sits on, and this can screw up and down to adjust the height. So you need to remove the rear springs completely (very easy job), pull out the bottom spring mount, screw it up in height and put it back together. Tip: unbolt the actual part of the car at one end that the spring sits in - one side will fall downwards, making the spring easily accessible/removable. Pic of the springs mounts attached and spring mounts circled red.
  11. The speedo error is probably to do with your rear tyre sizes. Changing the profile at all will affect your speedo unless the width is changed perfectly in proportion. No idea about your cruise control - seems very weird.
  12. Yeah I can give you a lift mate. Remind me closer to the date.
  13. What happened to your old one Matt?
  14. I just had a look through the entries - is there any reason in particular that so many fast SA Skylines are not running at the Nationals? There are far more entries from Vic than SA - very perplexing. If you have not entered yet, entries are nearly full and there are only days left. Get on it. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/431690-2013-track-day-entry/#entry7014975
  15. USA Ebay is your friend - tons on there .... http://www.ebay.com/itm/PREMIUM-KIT-DISC-ROTORS-PAIR-PERFORMANCE-CERAMIC-BRAKE-PADS-SET-/400555735938?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AG37&hash=item5d42fb7b82&vxp=mtr (assuming they ship to Aus) http://www.ebay.com/itm/EBC-GD7512-Front-Pair-Sport-Slotted-And-Dimpled-Rotors-Infiniti-G37-08-12-/120961096636?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AG37&hash=item1c29d7dbbc&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/EBC-GD7513-Rear-Pair-Sport-Slotted-And-Dimpled-Rotors-Infiniti-G37-08-12-/120961096656?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AG37&hash=item1c29d7dbd0&vxp=mtr or cheapies http://www.ebay.com/itm/PREMIUM-KIT-DISC-ROTORS-PAIR-PERFORMANCE-CERAMIC-BRAKE-PADS-SET-/400555735938?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AG37&hash=item5d42fb7b82&vxp=mtr etc etc
  16. Yeah sorry Rob, but that's life I guess. It would make me feel tons better if you do go and give locally, and I am sure Tony's brother and his mate will go and donate too. That makes me feel somewhat better .... I just wish more people would have gotten on board - it really is an important thing. To think that some people do needlessly die due to lack of blood supplies is insane.
  17. Sorry my phone went flat earlier Tony then got caught up with work! At least you guys got 8 people - a lot better than we did
  18. If you buy them from the USA you will save a TON over local prices - even after paying insane shipping to land them here.
  19. Doing the mods you have mentioned transforms it into a completely different car - the 30rwkw extra is very awesome. Highly recommended and you are headed down the right path. Make sure you do swaybars too - makes them drive like they are rails when combined with Tokico shocks and lowered springs (I have Eibachs, but 350Zs are good if you only want a moderate drop). Also, if you buy a urethane Nismo copy front bar then your car will also look a million bucks /end shameless plug http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/432230-f-s-v35-coupe-urethane-nismo-style-front-bumper-bars/?p=7066283
  20. Here's a pic of one trial fitted to my V35 (unpainted - and needs a bit to more work to get perfect - will be 100% perfect once painted and refit). Getting it painted shortly.
  21. You seem to forget Ben that the LNP have GIVEN us the current state of affluence in Australia. Labor/Bob Hawke/Paul Keating absolutely f**kED Australia in the 1990's - had Labor been in power for the 00's as well, do you really think we would be where we are now? I think not. I know not. And as for the alternates, do you really want idiots (Greens) running the country, where their FIRST task on their agenda had they won power was to stop ALL mining and associated activities immediately. They don't care about the insane effect doing such a thing would have on our economy. They have one goal, and will sacrifice everything to achieve it. Crazy. The Democrats are only half a step above. Stupid people voting for stupid independent idiots has only lent to ruining Australia - Liberals will be stymied for the next 3 years and essentially held at ransom to get legislation through. TBE honest I hope we have a double dissolution election - I think many people who thought they would put in a 'protest' vote would wake up and see the danger of putting in people like Bob Katter (who is mental), Clive Palmer (rich as hell, but clearly even more mental), and nobodys like Ricky Muir (who has not got the first idea about politics) in power, and vote like any actual sane person with any interest in the future of our country - Liberal. Some info on the fringe-dweller nutbags : http://www.news.com.au/national-news/federal-election/six-people-you-won8217t-believe-could-be-elected/story-fnho52ip-1226715178383
  22. If you have ever dabbled with aftermarket bars for the V35 you will come to realise (as I did) that our cars are VERY low, and fibreglass bars break quite easily and are an endless source of frustration. I finally bit the bullet and ordered one of these awesome copy Nismo urethane bars out of the USA. Then when I got a postage quote of $1,250 I nearly died. So I bought a few to make the postage cost effective, and subsequently have spares for sale. They are imho superior to the factory Nismo items, as these are made of urethane (in fact they almost feel like rubber), whereas the genuine bars are fibreglass and break with a decent crunch. The fit is near enough to perfect, and indicators fit near enough to perfect also (unlike the other fg bar I have had, the fit of which was AWFUL). They are located in Adelaide, but I can ship if required. I would imagine shipping would be around $100-$150 within Aus depending on destination. Weight is around 10kg, but obviously cubic weight is much higher. $900 each ono (which if you have ever imported one yourself you will realise is a great deal - and saves you the headaches importing them and the issues and costs with customs I won't go into!). Grab one before I put them on Ebay for $1k each! These are THE bars for V35s in my opinion, and given they are urethane and almost unbreakable, may be the last bar you ever buy for your V35.
  23. Sad thing is that now they have a guy in the senate, and 'roo poo' and crazy Clive will basically have the balance of power .... most definitely NOT a good thing for Australia imho - govts hamstrung by dissenters/non-party line senators can not push legislation through, and the country will stall because of it. Clive has stated that he will not support rolling back the Carbon Tax unless they refund the tax paid by every single Australian - what drugs is he on? Does he not realise they changed other taxes in conjunction, so just 'refunding' the carbon tax is not an option? Plus, the Qld branch of the party has summarily 'sacked' then entire Victorian arm of the party and is in complete disarray (I am not sure on the status of the SA arm). Be careful what you wish for.
  24. Well, the thing is that I give blood regularly and have actually been matched up with an individual that has cancer - so I normally give 3 months to the day, which is later this week. My blood is then couriered to their hospital and it is given to them as part of their treatment. So by giving Saturday week with an SAU group, I am actually letting that cancer patient down (somewhat). We have a perfect blood type match, and we also match to a closer level with various components of what makes up blood. It is quite a rare thing. Plus my wife is away interstate for the weekend, so I am home with my 5 year old and 2 year old - so it was going to be a pain in the butt to either bring them or find a babysitter. So if we only have a few people (who hopefully are likely to just go and give blood from this point forward, as it is a good thing to do), then it is not worth me letting down my blood match and having to deal with what to do with the kids. For a decent sized group I was willing to make the sacrifice, but given the sad response out of literally thousands of SAU forum members in SA, and nearly 100 SAU:SA club members, to be honest I am more than a bit disheartened. Either way, I have now cancelled our booking so as to not waste the blood banks time (Saturday morning spots are prime time for them, so better they book in others who will use the spots). But if anyone is keen on donating and is a bit concerned about going for their first time, I am more than happy for people to come along when I donate. I can advise of when that will be if anyone wants to know. I normally go to Pelican Plaza at Ridgehaven fyi.
  25. Well, sadly since I have not had any further volunteers, I am going to cancel this event ... just spoke to the blood service now. Hopefully Lurch, and Tony's bro (and his friend) will go give blood somewhere on their own, so at least the whole thing wasn't in vain!
