  1. ah fair enough - I should have use my brain and organised the purchase of a converter better, but as you know I wanted to use it urgently to try to diagnose my problem. Thanks for your help!
  2. my pre-made consult arrived today - not even 24 hours after ordering it. Amazing service, and an amazing product. Awesome work!!!! EVERYBODY NEEDS one of these!
  3. mine arrived today - not even 24 hours after I ordered it. Amazing service mate - it works a treat!!!! Is there any way you can make them USB? My lappie does not have a serial port and I had to buy a $40 serial to USB converter
  4. I have an Sr mate - I am talking about my S15 that has the problem .... everything else works perfect! I just think maybe if you have no error codes, the software just sits there and does nothing when you ask it to report error codes. Conzult works fine too, but does the same thing with the error codes.
  5. I just taped/masked mine up around the disks and they came up fine. The slight overspray on the discs disappears after about 5 minutes of driving! Taking the discs and brake lines off is a pita.
  6. I know for a fact that an R34 2 door exhaust fits up easily to a 4 door. Literally last week I took off my Jasma stianless cat-back off my R34 4 door, and put it on the ground next to a stainless 2 door exhaust, and the only diffferences were that one of the mounts near the centre needs to be massaged a tad to fit, and the exhaust tip will sit in-line with the rear bumper, instead of sticking out. The difference is 40mm, but it doesn't look that much. The 2 door exhaust was then fitted to a 4 door R34 with no problems whatsoever. And fyi, a stock non-turbo 4 door exhaust fits a 4 door GTT perfectly.
  7. can anyone verify that SRTalk just sits there and does nothing if you ask for the error codes and there are no error codes/problems. My engine won't start (engine light flashing), yet SRTalk just sits there saying 'getting error codes', but that's all!
  8. you would have to be one of the luckiest guys on the planet .... I had agreed with Nozilla's previous comment that parts of it would be distributed around Adelaide by now .... thanks God that isn't true!!! FFS get an alarm ASAP!
  9. yeah I had realised Chops - but I didn't realise everyone would be heading down so damn early. If you get there at 10am and it finishes 'late arvo', I think that would be too much racing anyhow (6+ hours). My thought is that we leave the secret meeting place at 10:30am, to get there around 11:30am, which leaves plenty of time to watch. Plus, by then the road is getting a bit warmer and has more tyre heat in it - imho the hillclimb will be boring/useless until there is some heat in the track.
  10. I took out my Bosch 040 that was noisy as hell (especially when you have below 1/4 tank or the weather is over 30 degrees) and put in a Walbro 255lph. Have had the car dynoed with both pumps and power is the same, at the same fuel rail pressure. I had the Walbro rechecked just the other week, after hearing disparaging comments from some SAU users, but Turbo Tune said the pump gave 'more than enough' fuel pressure for 200rwkw through 4 x 550cc injectors. They could not fault the pump whatsoever, yet I did have a 4 month old Bosch 040 fail year back. Edit: Like DriftR says, the oem style mesh pickup of the Walbro is far more reassuring than the Bosch pump setup - the Bosch has no filtering and the pickup is not as low down (which could explain people's surging problems).
  11. very nice looking 34 you have there, congratulations Awesome colour too (will be interesting to see next to John's old bayside blue R34GTR) My R34 is in being complied as we speak.
  12. yep I'm keen for a lift up to Collingrove in your new GTR Danh!!
  13. I'd like a pre-constructed one ASAP please, when/if you can organise it. I am happy to pay a little extra if you can get it to me very soon Thanks.
  14. I might be interested in coming for a cruise up to Collingrove on Saturday with you Ash. My car is off the road atm. I am going to the 36ers basketball in the evening, but I don't think the hillclimb goes into the evening, does it?
  15. yeah, I don't think she will be in cruising condition until early in the new year. I hope to have it back from compliance in about 3 weeks, then she has to be unreturned from stock - I think I'll organise something for mid-January .... will post a poll closer to the date, as to whther we go jet-skiing at Goolwa, paintballing at Victor or Strathalbyn, or go-karting at Port Elliot.
  16. ease off and read his post again HOON69 - he wasn't bagging Skylines whatsoever. Get over yourself. What Chops said was 100% true.
  17. was that the silver R34 that was sold from a yard on Main North Road?
  18. lol .... wicked, wicked DIGGITAH is MASSIVE spotted this morning SIR33 at Northgate Child Care Centre, then shortly thereafter on OG Rd. I didn't beep Mick, as I was in the wife's Accord.
  19. Erin - the lineup is not as good as previous years, but more than enough to keep me happy. Highlights for me will be: The White Stripes, Franz Ferdinand, The Living end, Shihad/Pacifier, End of Fashion, Gerling, Mylo, Kid Kenobi, Magic Dirt, Hilltop Hoods, Cog, Sonicanimation, MIA, Foreshore and DJ Brendan. More than enough there to keep me happy, and way more than I can see in one day anyhow! I have seen most of these bands already, but am always happy to see them again! (Anyone else going to the Foo Fighters or Jamiroquai in the coming weeks? I am going to both ) Ash fyi the website is http://www.bigdayout.com/cities/adelaide.php and the date is 3rd Feb. Yes, I agree - Carl Cox was insane - but then so was I by that hour of the night - memory is a bit blurry

  21. I suggest we have an SAU Big Day Out 2006. 1. Start early at the Goodwood Pub for bbq brekkie and some Bourbons 2. Head over to Wayville and consume many more Bourbons 3. Around 4pm (or when you fall down) have a small sleep behind the sound stage in the middle of the main oval 4. Wake up and continue partying hard into the night This was my routine this year, who's going to come next year? We need to buy tickets VERY soon before they sell out!
  22. We all love our cars way too much to do such a horrible thing to them
  23. hahaha - Chuck Norris and Mr. T - 2 of the funniest characters ever born, and 2 of the funniest "FAQ"s ever written
  24. ah true - I almost forgot (NOT)
  25. yes, you do need to get a life Danh Yeah the Cobra tore strips off the 'supercars' .... left them for dead (in the heat I saw anyhow).
