  1. I didn't take my car on the cruise Joel - she has just been resprayed and I don't want to bend it. I'll get a mug shot with the 34 at the next cruise (and one of you too)
  2. hey Matt - in case you hadn't heard other exciting news: Mel & Pawley too (I hope I'm not stealing their thunder)
  3. ok now I really want to sell it, as the R34 will be on the road in the not-too-distant future. Just had the Vertex front and rear bars resprayed and she looks a million bucks! Has just been retuned and makes 197.7rwkw. Did a 12.74 @ 110mph at current power level. Anyone???? This is a bargain!
  4. Had my beast retuned today (after the very rich, smoky and dismal 165rwkw at the Boostworx dyno day) and she made 197.7rwkw and is running better than ever! Notice the tune is still very rich - the afr's dip into the 11s most of the time and plunge down to flat 10 early in the rev range to protect against pinging as the torque rockets skyward. Now I just have to find some lucky guy to buy her!
  5. I wonder if Mallala is underwater at this point? And/or if the road to Mallala will be passable by the weekend?
  6. bwilkeson is on the money about the Hybrid dual stage boost controller. I have one (in my S15) and they are excellent (especially value for money-wise) - www.flynperformance.com.au had an ad on ns.com selling these for around $200, which is an absolute steal. I think normal price is around $300. OR there is/was a guy on SAU that sells a bleed-valve type (not really a bleed valve as such) setup for only $35 .... not sure if he is still around or not - I think Joel has been using one, and I am going to put one on the R34 once it's on the road. It also eliminates wastegate creep, so will reduce lag (in theory anyhow). I just bought a 3" high flow XForce cat off Ebay for just under $150 delivered, otherwise BATMBL (Bos Imports) sells the same unit for around $180 + delivery. The Magic Cats advertised on ns.com are far better at nearly twice the flow rate, but are around $420 + delivery. If you are stuffing around with your exhaust anyhow you should invest in a front/dump pipe (if you haven't got one already) from BATMBL - I just bought a segregated wastegate one for $420, but I think he does a single pipe version for $270 also. Well worth the money, and a good power increase. I have had my car worked on by Tilbrooks, Morpowa and Turbo Tune - all of whom I can recommend. Beware though, when it comes to anything mechanical on a high performance car, you can double whatever you think it is going to cost.
  7. Thought I'd start a thread of ppl and their cars. Can mods please sticky? Here are the bunch I took at the cruise on the weekend: 4Door_Sleeper - Guy Sambo33 - Sam Nozila - Duc Busky2k - Leo Vange black33_26 - Brad Deluxe GFXMan - Julian DriftR_33 - Jason HR32 gtrtech - Geoff GTROB GTO LE If I have buggered up (or missed) anyone's name let me know. We'll add to this list at the next cruise when we get more people's pics. edit: missed some blanked out numberplates - fixed now
  8. nah didn't see any .... was a mix of various models of non-Jap stuff mostly. 350Z and R34 was all Nissan I saw. They are nowhere near as good as your R32 or my R34 models, but for $10 are a steal.
  9. yeah .... that is the huge downside of not taking PCOTY out
  10. yeah I was too paranoid about bending/scraping it on the cruise to take her in the hills (as you know both bumpers plus some other bits were painted at Prestige last week). But she is totally built for it - you would not believe the speed you can push it into corners and she just leans in and holds. But yes, it is suprisingly easy if you don't know what you are doing to unweight and start sliding. It is all about tyre choice really .... pretty much all tyres up to my current set would spin up in the twisties. Except of course my Toyo T1-S that lasted a whole 7,000km of street use
  11. yeah Julian's MR2 definitely is turbs - I went for a burn in it for a while on the cruise - it is remarkably fast, and I had underestimated it too!! It is very weird having the blow-off valve 'pssssht' coming from behind your head!
  12. I bought these 2 babies this arvo from BP on Gorge Rd, Athelstone - for only $10 each!! I think they're bloody good value, so if anyone wants some check out BPs around the place.
  13. Great day and turnout! Nice to meet some new faces and have a casual cruise with some photo opportunities. I will have some photos up in the next day or 2.
  14. I believe Trev at FBI Hampstead Road has a few sets for sale
  15. no competition
  16. no Erica - David (my brother-in-law) used to frequently put the baby seat in the back of the R33 coupe
  17. thanks for fixing the title mods
  18. you beat me to it Leo .... btw have you got your licence back and your car sorted yet?
  19. yeah, but 3 or 4 time the price nicer? My current Autometer gauges are only about 120 degrees sweep and do the job just fine.
  20. yeah I have a lot of trouble justifying the money for gauges. I have Autometer ones like you have in my 200SX, but this time have opted for the significantly cheaper Autogauge smoked series. I think they look very cool (jet black when power is off), and are the right price - $220 delivered for all 3 with din mount (which I am not using). Bargain!
  21. Sam, it's a new, fancy version of the R32 - but the front end is all f$%#ed up
  22. good looking guages you have there! I just ordered some of the smoked gauges from the SAU group buys for my R34
  23. took these photos of some of the guys at my place
  24. saw this at Northfield today - poor car!
  25. don't sweat it too much BASS .... if you were a business making the usual 50-100% profit/markup, then we would have the right to be mad at you. Since you are doing it for no return whatsoever, and it has been nothing but a giant pain in the ass for you, I have no problem with the delays.
