Congrats John - that is an awesome time! Finally all the hard work paying off - and you even get to take the car home in a driveable fashion Well done!
-
Does anyone know where it leaves from and at what time? I went last year and whilst the cruise was short, the cars at Ingle Farm were awesome, including NSXs, Supras and lotsa big chickens. Hope everyone is coming along - it will be well worth the trip! I'm going - who else is coming? .... we should arrange to meet at say the Western boundary of wherever the meet is so we can find each other!
-
hehe Matt .... it seems there were some slippery patches on the exits to some (=most) of those roundabouts - my back end was all over the place .... Whatsisname's was too hehe - I was chasing him after all! Yeah the driving and filming thing is a bit scary but some of those filmed under driving conditions come out the best .... you will note me almost dropping the camera in the second vid .... damn gear changes lol Will definitely get more pics next cruise - I missed the start and Mt Lofty so missed most of the big group car shots - and Moana carpark was too dark .... there's always next time!
-
Check out my Yahoo Briefcase (click here) for some pics and vids from the cruise. Obviously the pics and vids are taken at night time and most by me whilst driving .... so they are not the best, but better than nothing nonetheless. I'm sure you will all enjoy the roar of the cars in the second (the largest) video .... that was shot in Light Square .... obviously there was some gear changes needed etc so the camera work is mediocre. You get the idea though Enjoy!

I am very interested - if you recover the bits .... please let me know at [email protected] Cheers -
I will post some pics tomorrow night when I plug my digital camera into my PC .... stay tuned ....

Yeah that was certainly one of the best cruises I have been on. Great turnout and you boys present were on fire .... loved those roundabouts along the seafront chasing Matt (Whasisname) and Henry (Brute) with MattR right up my clackers .... oh those slippery roundabouts The town runs certainly were a highlight! .... 6 very nicely modified cars in a tight pack ripping up the bitumen at every set of lights .... I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked a bit closer in the 'Cheeky' mobile to see a chick! Nice work from all present .... and if you weren't present why the hell not???? And Matt and John, your Southern expressway shenanigans were unbelievable, as usual! Feel the power!

Friday 24th is out for me 'cos I'll be in Darwin .... I think I'm free for the 31st .... but I agree with others - cos we have to work all day Friday we are rooted Friday night and just wanna go home to bed. Saturday nights are much better! Especially in the hot weather we could do Glenelg late afternoon and see the babes, then have dinner down there somewhere then cruise out Anzac Hwy etc later on
-
Yeah I'll be in for a cruise for sure! .... it certainly has been a while since the last one I went on I gotta line up against a few of you guys for drag practise .... no-one will drag me anymore .... not sure why? Hehe Matt we will have to have another go with my new tyres (= grip) and I'll turn my boost back up .... the last drag sure was one of the best I've had! p.s. I still need an intercooler - anyone know of one around the traps for sale? (to suit an S15)
-
Thanks for the advice Matt .... I have already had a warning from the boys in blue the other week at a breatho (at Glynde) - they were very interested in my A-piller guages but let me go without a formal warning even - must have caught them with their bellies full of donuts
-
I may come .... am having my pool table delivered this arvo so am having a few ppl over tonight .... Robert I'll give you a call later and see where you're at - might come out later and tag along for a bit .... *brainwave* why don't you guys at some stage head to K-Mart Ingle Farm (2 minutes from my place) then give me a ring and I'll come up for a hello and a beer. David will prolly come along too with his 33. Whadaya think? Hopefully catch you all later! Hey Andy long time no see man .... got RICE?
-
ROFLMAO ..... I seriously thought about getting the numberplate 1337 .... just for a laugh - that would be awesome!
-
hehe Matt .... as you know there is no such thing as too much power .... I actually want to get it to about 195rwkw then will stop .... then I need an AVC-R with high/low setting .... one setting for daily driving and one setting for fun. But yes, it was a hoot anyhow  .... of course I would rather have won though
-
Yes, you are correct - you will get me in trouble But the $4K I have spent has already got me in that! It wouldn't be so bad spending a bit more - but the $40K odd before that adds up. Oh well .... boys have to have their toys!
-
Does anyone know where I can get a super-cheap cooler? (cheap price, not quality) .... damn house expenses have gone off the scale in the last few and coming months .... damn retaining walls, fencing, paving, gardens, pergola, etc. .... the wife has put a hold on the car toys Oh well .... 141rwkw will have to do until early next year I suppose
-
hehe thanks Barry .... it turned out really well! Nice camera work Nat. Forunately the MASSIVE second gear miss/cruch is almost inaudible on the clip .... damn that gearbox - apparently S15's are renowned for that .... it often does it when dragging too Speaking of which - nice work Matt - that was the most fun I have had .... now I want that 10rwkw back (had my boost turned down Friday to prevent warm weather detonation 'til I get an intercooler). All up a VERY disappointing turnout but it was heaps of fun all the same. Speaking of which, what happened to you Robert? - It was your cruise you Dilbert
-
Sounds good to me! .... since Brad isn't bringing the Torrie I might have to give the Mt. Pleasant turnoff a donut bash .... it will surely not nearly be as big as his ,but a fun little 2 litre version all the same
-
I'm not sure what kind of mesh you are talking about, but Car Toys sell grille mesh for about $35 a sheet then you paint it whatever colour you like Hope this helps, I hope your car is now ok and I hope you come out cruising with us soon!
-
yerp I'll be there .... hopefuly will have my intercooler on by then - hoping for around 180rwkw = fun
-
yeah Brad that is correct .... However I don't understand the reasoning - turbo timers that are connected to the hanbdbrake are illegal YET the whole purpose of the handbrake connection is to stop the engine if the handbrake is disengaged. ie. if I turn my car off with the handbrake disengaged - the car will stop - no matter how hot the engine is. This is mostly to foil would-be crooks who would try to steal your car just after you walk away while the engine is still running. If you take off the handbrake the motor stops instantly. Hence if you have an accident and don't put the handbrake on, the car stops immediately anyway - hence no danger. /me confused

Try Sam on 8231 6188 .... I think he is still around - he had Power FCs and Controllers a little while back for a nice price .... I must get myself one of these sooner or later too.
-
hehe Brad, my S15 comes in at a respectable 133.87rwkw/ton, as it is 1,240kg dry. Compare a 1,440kg dry R33 GTS25T and they would need (in theory) 192.77rwkw to have similar performance However .... Diggity got a respectable 153rwkw yesterday, and I beat him (in a race) when I first got my S15 and I had 124rwkw .... ie. his rwkw/t was 106.25 and mine was 100 flat - so in theory he shoulda beaten me but didn't. Spose it goes to show how refined the GTR helical LSD and 6 speed gearbox I've got are Thanks again for the great day Mark and Co. @ Tilbrooks
-
Thanks for organising the day mate - it was a good one! Maybe, (in order to make Brad and my results MUCH better), you should find out the dry weight of each car and post the power to weight ratio alongside .... hmmmm I think my 1240kg weight is to my advantage Thanks again - next gotta organise a track/drag meet so we can do some real world stuff .... maybe out Mallala or AIR direction? Cheers Andrew
-
Yeah the rain seemed to clear up but I still had a bit of trouble getting traction later Was a good run albeit quick .... good to see some boys out for a run!

I'm thinking about going for a looksie .... anyone gonna come and hold my hand? Bunnings Mile End 7pm
