  1. white R33 GTR in Fyshwick near Robbos. Dark silver R33 with gold wheels at the trendy coffee shop in Fisho.
  2. Strong views there Pred, but you're entitled to them and I respect that. A couple of observations; If hypothetically my car lunched itself for no apparent reason and every workshop I take it to says yes it's the ethanol, that still leaves me to contemplate oohhhhh...a starting legal fee of about $1m if I wanted to take on the oil company seriously, and if I could even find a firm to do it. Don't believe what happened in the movie 'The Castle'. The big companies know it, they risk manage it, and they do it every day. That's their business logic. Clearly they don't want to generate bad PR or knowingly release a product that is going to destroy engines. But they are not upstanding corporate individuals who diligently research a product for every application and will listen to you if you say that their product caused damage to your vehicle - even with proof. And evidence suggests they do f$ck up, but Dick Honan at Manildra won't lose a second of sleep if 20 or even 100 freshly rebuilt RB26s blow up in a two week period because they used ethanol. Enough research? You've got to be kidding. Read Scathing's post...then lets consider the poor head design that caused Subaru to recall the RS Liberty and change to WRX heads, and let's not forget the Firestone tyre fiasco in the US with Ford, or Suzuki and the TL1000S. The oil companies will risk manage the amount of research they do, Nissan and Porsche know that and that's why they go for a total disclaimer as there is no way of knowing 100% what the effect will be. I don't need "facts" or 5 volumes of petroleum monthly on me to realise that multibillion dollar companies are more intelligent than a few keyboard warriors. '5 volumes of fuel on you', that must really itch after a while. Oh and the comment about keyboard warriors? I guess you are one of us now, so you must not be as intelligent as them either. Soooo....how can you profess to know how they think? Just my 2c PS Scathing LOL at the Pinto example.
  3. Ditto about 4 pm today. Gotta like that colour it's v nice indeed. PS you'll have to boost harder than that to get away from an R1
  4. no railings sorry, pics sent
  5. Guys/Gals, I've got 2 genuine black Sparco Siena seats for sale. They are as new (ex Sparco agent demo stock) except for a tiny blemish on the rear lining (the one facing the rear passenger, not the seat face) which is not noticeable. They are an awesome looking seat (do a google search if you want to know what they look like or send your email address and I'll send pics). Retail about $1800 a pair I'm asking $950 ono. 0402 837 117 if you're interested. Hoping for a local buyer before I put them on ebay etc. Cheers
  6. you snapped a bolt on the booster? fark. never heard that one before. i use Ferodo DS 2500 pads, very happy.
  7. 4.73 sec to 100 stock didn't come cheap in 1989, and it never will. But the R is a great machine - ask about rebuild price for a stock 930 turbo or similar peer. Or even something like a Gen III that produces the same power. The RB26 is extremely cost effective if properly prepared, as is the 26/30. Just my 2c.
  8. 'mines at some place in fyswick' 'Spotted Leigh's car at said place in Fyshwick, mine's there too!' 'thats funny is ben doing work on yours too or is it the un-named place ' very cloak and dagger. 'Go to a warehouse in Fyshwick. Be careful. There you will meet Tuna er Tuner, and he will introduce you to the killer, Watts. Be careful if there is someone from China called Hybrid, he may be a copy. Trust no one and Greddy to split if you feel too much heat. Advance as much as you can but back off so you don't get knocked. If you're in trouble, Pon cam not help until later and neither cam Wheel as they've been told to strut some bar. If it all goes bad then just think quick, shift.' OK so I'm bored.
  9. white R34 GTR last night at the gym. not saying exact location, if you're on here you know who you are. awesome machine.
  10. Hi Greg, I'm interested - sent a message on your website when you first posted but never got an answer. Is the base low or high mount? A pic of the rail to [email protected] will suffice if you're not sure. Any idea of freight to Canberra? Cheers

  13. Hi Steve, I called Darron and he gave me a number. Unfortunately neither DOTARS nor the RTA recognised it. They also advised that the only way a seat can be ADR approved is for it to be either crash tested or inspected by an engineer, but in both cases it must be while the seat is fitted to a car and then the seat is only ADR approved for use with that specific model. The RTA then issue a 'no objection' letter in which they state that they have 'no objection' to the seat being fitted to that specific model. A consulting engineer who does inspections has verified this. In other words if I have the seat inspected and ADR approved in a Skyline, I can't assume that the same seat is ADR approved for use in a Silvia. Similarly you can't say a seat from a Focus is ADR approved when fitted to a Falcon, even though they may have past tests or inspection when fitted to their original vehicles. This is largely because the numerous relevant ADRs encompass not just seats but anchorages and head restraints also. Both the RTA and the engineer told me that while seats alone could be tested ie have g forces etc applied to the point of failure at various load points, this would only result in a certificate that specified what tests were done and how, not that it complies with ADRs - as previously mentioned the seat needs to be fitted to a vehicle for that and then the approval is vehicle specific. Can you please advise exactly how these seats are ADR complied and for what, as right now it's a little confusing although the position taken by DOTARS and the RTA seems clear. Feel free to make your own enquiries to corroborate what I've found out. Thanks
  14. i thought tuners liked to take out fuel and add ignition over stock settings to increase power, given that stock ecus run rich and retarded. if not, my stocker should've turned the cat into a molten lump by now?
  15. 30% more power is impressive for a port job. have you got dyno charts? would be interesting to see where it picked it up.
  16. KKK = Porsche. They do not mess with their turbos. As for KKR I have no idea but it's sounds like KFC. Reminds me of Tein ie the 2nd half of Bilstein.
  17. Hi Rob, Hell yes please, this is too good an offer. can you send to [email protected] And to answer this question... I have been talking to my boss the technical director of the xede and he said if it can generate enough interest with the nissans then he would go ahead and develop it. What do you guys reckon? As long as it comes with a gun tuner we can proceed. Kind regards
  18. Thanks Steve, I'm impressed that you have taken the time and spent the money as the dodgy sellers won't - as you'd be aware, the the claim of 'ADR compliant' often fails under scrutiny. Just hate the thought of people being injured. The specifics of the testing are in the relevant ADRs for car seats so I don't expect you to post them, however if you can please post just the ADR registration number it means I and other buyers can verify with DOTARS that they are ADR compliant and have peace of mind regarding their crash worthiness (saves you the paperwork too). It's just a matter of calling them for the independant verification and then I can place my order. Cheers
