Wet is probably good for me. Means I can beat that cool rotory i've been hearing so much about. j/k I wont be going thou.
  2. Will this event still go ahead in the rain? How are numbers looking?
  3. It would be best if people made their decisions today, as it is the last day to get you entry form in at the lower price.

Any show that you hear "fully sik" 20 times in 1/2 an hour has to be great. I enjoyed it - fully.

Did any1 watch Channel 31 tonight at about 9ish. Had a special Calder Park fully-sik show on. I thought of this thread!
  6. So who is actually thinking of going to this event? This would be my first drift event, i'm hoping I have enuf car control and balance to make the R look good.
  7. GRID Torque Split.... GTR's can drift fine. I'll show you.

I imagine I will be down there. Please be carefull how you post on this forum. This could be taken as a threat if read in the wrong context. Threats to members wont be tolerated. This is a CAR forum and is meant to be a friendly place where we can share ideas and help people out. If you want to abuse people please find you way to mIRC and play there. I also apologise for my previous post.
  9. I'm confused. I thought it either was a CAMS event fully covered by CAMS or wasn't. Either way I will be happy to pay if the event is good. Is morwell a good place for drifting? I haven't been their before, but I was under the impression that it was a thin track, with tight corners. No much good for big boat GTR's

I'm a huge fan of rotors aswell. I was looking at a Series 6 RX7 at the same time I bought my GTR. Figured the R would be a better all round car. The other path I looked at instead of buying the R was to drop a series 4 13B Turbo into my Gemini and do that up some more, but it just doesn't have the street cred of the GTR. Although I don't imagine it would have been hard to get that into the 10's with a diff, computer and some turbo work. Anyway I will be happy to line up against anyone who feels they need to beat a GTR to give themself cred. I will be shifting easy too, as I dont want to have the same fate as Snowie and Ferni.
  11. So if you already have a current CAMS L2S then this is not required?

This is why I have stayed away from drags (Except on the street) at Calder etc. I like the idea of testing your cars power to weight in a straight line, but there are just way too many tools out there. St.Albans style di*ks with an arrogant attitude towards new people. I much prefer the enjoyable track days where everyone can give it a go and we can encourage newbies to join. I'd like to go down to Calder with you Troy, but we may have to just keep to ourselves.

The last thing I am is scared. I am at home in my car. Ask any Team Wang members or, Come along to one of the track days and you will see that I don't **** about when it comes time to lay down some rubber and put out some times. What make you so sure you shouldn't be the one who is scared?
  14. You need CAMS mate, and a membership with a cams club. Like SAU-VIC. Read some of the past track event posts as the info for other items you may require is in there.

Maybeeee I'll bring my gemini. OK I wont then...
  16. Glad to see you automatically include me Roy. I don't want to have to get upset with you again. LOL. I wont do the Saturday, but will see if I can be made an hounerary passenger to help out any1 new to PI. Will give Sunday a go if I feel my car needs to be tested, otherwise will wait till next year.
  17. Who/What is the $25 membership fee for? Is this event covered by any motorsport bodies eg: CAMS?

  20. I'd say i'll get one of these too. But would it be possible to get a pic or web site or something to look at and admire first?
  21. Sing me up Al pal... Brakes - Red. I'll take both if we get 15ppl
  22. T-Shirt?? I thought it was a fuel cap!
  23. Your all soft!
  24. Gojira - I would also think that Meridian would be a good place to start. Traction Tyres in Rowville aren't bad. I had my car corner weighted by them last Thursday. Fridays is busy for them thou too. May not be able to setup coilovers. Give Toby a call tell him I sent you. He will look after you. Ferni - Congratulations on the new house.
  25. I tried to contian myself.. I failed. But I did swear to only use my own credit card from now on.
