  1. Yeah I know... But i'll just be taking it easy like always.
  2. Like Andrew said.... Train station is across the road
  3. OK Done - Holliava it is. Seeya at 8.
  4. Deal... If it's only a few drinks this will be great. Although I have another suggestion. Sandown is only 15mins drive from our area and there are a few "Wang crew members out this way" Me, Adz, Dee, Bec, Scott, Ferni just to name a few. If we wanted to have a few drinks their would be plenty of room to put people up. Then the track is only a short drive in the morning.
  5. HAHA. We (Adz, Bec, Me) were thinking of posting something similar. Team Wang tradion - Pre event drinking session. The best way to increase your wang - a few beers the night before the trackday. Always builds courage going into fast corners. See Thread. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=53848
  6. I'll be there to keep you honest.... P.S I have a set of standard R33 GTR Shocks that anyone may borrow for the day/week.. Dunno if they fit 32's or 34GTT's but hey offer is their. They aren't the best, but they sure beat nothing.
  7. Just in case anyone here may be interested. Traction Tyres on Kellets Road, Rowville has new full slicks for sale at $275 each, they are a 210/610x17" They would suit a 17x8 or 17x9 rim. These usually retail at $435. They said something like they were imported for a production car cup (not sure what) that never got off the ground and now they are getting rid of them for less than cost. Keep in mind most regulating bodies require a full cage when using slicks on the track.
  8. I think this may have already been covered, but .... Most of the guys that have done track days tend to mount the ext on the rear seats lower bolt. This bolt is located where a rear passenger's, (behind the front passenger seat) calf muscle would be. There is only one bolt, but this holds the bracket ok. In this location there will be no problem with moving the seats, and no drilling or bracket creating at all. Also this location can be reached from the drivers seat. Hope this helps.
  9. Team Wang all the way....
  10. Dunno give em a call... doesn't say anything on their web site. www.racebrakes.com.au I'll be going past there on Friday morning if they're not open. Let me know. Race Brakes Melbourne and Head Office 44-68 Racecourse Road, North Melbourne. VIC. Australia Ph. (03) 9326-6088 Fax: (03) 9326-3822 E-mail :[email protected]
  11. What he said. I think that the racebrakes stuff will be more than suitable for us beginners. After maybee a year of track days you can start playing with the expensive stuff. But when you move to expensive stuff, you will want to have two sets of pads and swap them out after the track. Unless your rich like me! (I survive on credit, the banks love me!)
  12. Ed - If you give Toby a call and let him know exactly what you need he can supply it. All parts of the kit can be bought seperatly. We wont however include this as part of a group buy. Phone: 03 9553 4200 Email: Sales: [email protected]
  13. What does the probe look like? Might be hard to get it in cause all the fittings are designed to be very tight. It would be worth while speaking to toby about that. I'd say he would have some good sugestions.
  14. Ronin - I did the pad and fluid change myself. (I'm one of those handy IT people) I think the RB74's, comp 2's and 2x bottles of Motul 5.1 was about $250 from memory. If you want I can come round and give you a hand to change them over.
  15. When I got mine done (1st Owner in Oz) I had to make a special appointment to see VIC roads to get it registered, and all the importers in VIC had the appointments booked up for like two weeks. I had to goto Frankston to get it registered, and the guy was way dumb. He thought my car was a 200sx.
  16. Racebrakes recomended the Motul 5.1 for me to use with my RB74's. Had no problems with them considering the money I payed. Motul 5.1 was well priced. I'm sure there are better pad fluid combinations out there thou. I found that they were great for the first 1/2 of track day, but after that the pedal was a lot lower and spongier, but still was able to pull the car up the same with a harder application required by me. Unless your entering compedative racing, this combination is A-OK.
  17. Might be worth going down to UPI and speaking to Dean. He's a good bloke. I think they bring in a lot of containers of new and second hand parts. Maybee you could arrange to get it taken in his next container. Just a suggestion, dunno what he would say. Can only ask.
  18. I've put on 10 kilojoules. But i'm counting every calorie. I can vouch for Roy's pecker. The opperation went well!
  19. I have also almost gone through my first set of Semi's. Took 6 track days to get below the wear marker on all tyres. I went for the Yoki's A048 because that's all that was avaliable back then. I was pushing pretty hard for the last two Phillip Island weekends, but mine have worn pretty evenly for a car that rolls around a bit. So be warned... $2000+ worth of tyres doesn't go a long way, but you'll have a great time burning away that money.
  20. I'm proud to be in IT. I worked hard to own my GTR, and I make sure I drive it hard enough to use every inch of it's "supercar" soul. I bough the car because I firgued it would be the best all round car I could buy in my price range. (Which this was above) Also who says a GTR can't drift? I'd like to take on that challenge! I do all my own servicing and install my own mods, until tools I dont have are required. Nothing more needs to be said about the mentality of the MCCR boys. One attendance to a cruize will say it all.
  21. Here Here!
  22. HEHE I love the attitude mate.... I think if I didn't have you around I would be too scared to do 10/10ths in my car. When I see u pushing it in your 100,000+ car it makes me not worry too much about my 37000+ car.
  23. My two cents by Scotsman (the ugly duckling) AWD means jack on the track! I look down at my Torque Split guage all the time to see where I might be loosing tracktion and i'll tell you this. The thing never moves. So where am I gaining an advantage? Any advantage a GTR has around the track isn't in the front drive shaft. I find that my slow laps are the laps where I am using the front wheels to pull me out of corners and this is because i'm allowing my rears to break traction. The smooth laps are the quick ones.
  24. Ok Toby has all the parts required to make all the kits. If anyone needs to change to 2x45 degree fittings over the original kits straight fittings there is an additional $46 cost Ronin09 and GTTR34 - Please contact Toby directly to arrange payment ([email protected], 03 9553 4200.) INASNT, Daz and Croat you have PM regarding payment.
  25. I said 1:30's. But hope to get closer to Andrews first times at Sandown.
