I fail to see how a heat-soaked system (or otherwise) will affect the power being produced at the rear wheels any differently to how that same heat-soaked system would at the track?!? Shootout mode was designed to make COMPARISONS more accurate. So the question of whether intercooler efficiency can be measured on a chassis dyno is moot. It is a more accurate representation of the RELATIVE performance of different types of vehicles on a chassis dyno. Nothing more, nothing less. And if anyone has a problem with DD dynos or chassis dynos in general, remember the lowly video cassette tape. Beta is said to be a technically superior system but the popular standard won out in the end. Is it a good thing? Is it a bad thing? Who cares. It's the standard that people use. Deal with it.

Lenco's are not automatic transmissions. *EDIT* Unless you are using a Lencodrive transmission which runs a torque converter (even then it's not an auto) but I'm guessing your RB30 isn't powering a 3500hp Pro-Modified car

I understand, mate but Ray had a sum totla of two SC Championship events that he ran last season which he claims were unsuccessful. Compak Attak, fine. Jambo.....? I'm not suggesting that Jambo is huge because ANDRA were involved. There's 20 years hard work and promotion that makes events like that happen. That is exactly my point though. The VW Nationals (or whatever spawned jambo) was not 1 poofteenth the success of J15 in it's first year so why dump Sport Compact after only 2 events? ANDRA SC was far too easy a scapegoat to blame for the poor turnout at one event in Sydney. Jambo was huge and being part of the SC series didn't hurt it. In fact, in EVERY press release that came out of SCP's email-bag last season, the championship was mentioned as a tool to get people through the door. Funny how it's good for some things but not others. Adrian

I agree 100% - Willowbank being in SCP's pocket doesn't help though. They're too scared or too tied up in deals with Ray's crew to run a Sport Compact event in their calendar. FWIW, I enquired some months ago and was told by the track manager that WB Raceway had absolutely no intention of running Sport Compact oriented events in their calendar. The problem is that the argument was that there was no money to be made out of ANDRA Sport Compact events. Let's give it one go, (Jambo), have a HUGE SUCCESS and then say we can't make money. I beg your pardon? It's about control. SCP events would've been part of ANDRA Sport Compact provided ANDRA gave, "...complete control over the event to Ray." What the?!? 96 pre-entries in SRWD for Jambo - yep, sounds like a terrible turn-out to me.... I agree again but Jamboree was packed full of punters. Who knows?!?! Adrian
