R34 transmission oil change *HELP*
knore replied to CNBLOW's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Couldnt u possibly turn the car on with the hose disconnected to pump all the rest of the oil out. Surely the gearbox isnt moving, but the pump for its oil would be. -
difference in performance with auto?
knore replied to madcabbie's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
What method did you use? disconnect cooler pipe? How much of the old fluid did u get out before putting the new stuff in? -
Who has fitted a 2wd RB26 in their GTS?
knore replied to bbenny's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
So how much approx. would it cost to so a proper RB30 setup with RB26 head? -
Tell me about it Teins are awesome for highspeeds and stability, but wayyy to hard for launching. Mine probably bog about 2 inches if that! Ide be happy with those times though. Your pulling better numbers than a stock GTR and your car isnt exacly heavily modified! Stock turbo!
-
Light only comes on when its not working. hicas only moves at most 1degree if i remember correctly, so you need to be going a descent speed for it to actually have an effect on your driving. Ive felt it a few times, its not as bad as everyone portrays it to be, but ide still rather it not be there. Personally ide choose the skyline over any equivelantly priced silvia/200sx/180 or whatever. Yeh stock for stock the s14/200 etc may be a LITTLE faster, but speed isnt everything. The Skyline is a much better all round car. And thats what i look for when buying a car.

Hybrid FMIC installed Where to connect bleed valve?
knore replied to SKYZER 33's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Ive just tee'd mine into the fuel pressure reg line for the moment, its what it says to do in the Trust VSPL intercooler kit instructions. Anyone who has bought an AVCR will have a spare metal nipple which is perfect to screw into the intercooler piping after you drill a hole in it. Has thread and is the perfect size for it. I plann on doing this the next time i take the cooler piping off, as i want the shortest hose possible from the piping to boost controller -
I know this has been covered before, can you run bigger injectors like the nismo 740s with an SAFCII?
-
Has to be the first RB25 ive ever heard of that has a T51R SPL on it Efficiency range for T51R is what? 1.4bar onwards I can only imagine what this car at 2bar would feel like
-
370cc i beleive I just read on meggalas site that SR20 are same as RB25 injectors, ive never heard this before? And the S15s have 480cc injectors? If so, then why has no one used them in an rb25? They would certainly be enough cc's for 2530/40 highflowed rb25s
-
wow, skylines must have the best resale life of any car ever produced Most are selling now for half their full price 10 years ago! And 34GTR Vspec N1 is bout $85,000 Brand new, damn i wish it was that price in aus
-
Well yeh ultimately it would be $1800 on the car. I know a few people who got stage 1s from GCG for $1550
-
For real, last time i checked this thread wasnt Garrett VS Hks Even tho its been a good discussion Ive said it before and ill say it again, i dont think you can go past the GCG highflow in terms of value for money and simplicity. Almost anyone can take their turbo off, send it away, and get it back brand new highflowed and wack it straight back on. Ofcourse the HKS 25xx competition will have better response and MAYBE a little more peak power, but for an extra $1000-1500 it really isnt worth it. There has been a few GCG highflowed standard internal RB25s making on or over 250rwkw, so they certainly have no problem making the power with correct tuning and support systems. And seriously, for $1500 can u really fault it?
-
His standard tubo has busted oil seal so wont be selling for too much. But yeh, GCG highflow is an awesome option for most of us, but if i has forged internals etc i wouldnt be bothering with something that small or a 25xx Ide be holding out for something in the HKS 30xx
-
Hell yeh i love it! Also free bump
-
Yeh pretty much, picking it up soon, just getting some small things done first like rearbar etc to get them outta the way going to combine CES with a new turbo
-
Darrin, can you possibly give a few weeks warning to when this will close so those who are late dont miss out, or set a cut off date. Cars at the panelshop end of this week getting rear bar put on and front bar fixed, so ill try and pick the dump up asap in the next 2 weeks

nothing worse than the "Jap crap" saying god there is so many hypocritical and wrong things with that saying, no matter what car they drive u can guarantee majority of it was made in japan anyway. You tell me a production engine built somewhere other than japan thats better than the 2JZ and RB26..... None. Idiots, as if youd go that far out of your way to pay someone out for their pride and joy. I look at some cars and think man thats shit, but i dont actually say anything. Some people will never change

Im upto the flying skelaton bird, boss :Bang: not very hard but got beaten cos i dont know its primary attacks yet just got the art of inazuma too (electricity), i love it, he harnesses electricity and blasts anyone around him muahahaha that and the dabilharo sword is insane, its twice the size of ryu! Other thing i love about the game is the life of the gods, and thousand life of the gods.. You can extend your life meter. Mine goes halfway across the screen now! NG is awesome, i recommend anyone with an Xbox to atleast rent it to see what your missing out on, altho dont expect to even finish the 1st level in the rental time
-
Thats cos everyone wants more powah The HKS range especially the GT-RS range is really expensive, you wont get it on your engine brand new for less than $3K or twice the price of a highflow from GCG/ATS the difference in response between a GT-RS/2530/2540 and the standard turbo highflowed is very minimal, and definately not worth an extra $1500
-
Yeah got dynos of everyones car will post them em eventually, need to use the rest of the tape first
-
From what youve said a descent highflow will suit your pefect, They can be had for cheap, usually around $1500 And can be flowed anywhere upto about 400-450hp Main advantage of highflowing is cost and easy of installing.. It goes on the same way it came off, no fabrications etc .. almost anyone can do it You get the turbo back 100% brand new, every moving part is replaced and the turbo is even all shiny again Steve: Can u get a GT30 with an internal wastegate?
-
i was hoping to be racing, but things wont be in order by then So ill be there with the digital video camera instead
-
bahahaha you know its jeolousy when they pay you out for having a nice car :uh-huh: alot of the typical 'get a v8' (not all of them) people are extremely biased and never really accept the fact that skylines are fast.. even when they constantly get beaten by them ive had some really weird ones, this one guy at the coast yells out nice car, i turn to say thanks, but before i get the words out, he yells fu*k head! then the other nite i was at the servo, and a police car boxes me in, and proceeds to question me on what the deal is with young people and skylines! like that was the reason for boxing me in or something! they were nice police, but i was still confused. theres nothing better than driving next to a guy in a V8 or a pulsar or something and his girlfriend cant stop starting at me and the car :aroused: booya!
