Missfire Boost@4500-5500 RPM - The Answer! (for me at least!)
knore replied to Nightman's topic in General Maintenance
Well the funny thing is i did find a common crack on about 3 coil packs, the crack wasnt across it was down, about 1cm long on one of them But the thing is, Ive never had a problem with missing or anything anyway. So its weird, but i taped them up anyway. And can confidently say that it helped towards me boosting 0.95bar without a single problem, i dont use this boost all the time, i just did it to see how it goes, i now cruise on 10psi and its perfect I taped it pretty professionally too, if you tape around, then tape across you can use the different angles to hold each other on.. if you know what i mean. So in reality, its not a temporary fix because the coil isnt broken. -
If someone is willing to send me the entire 150mb file or whatever, i could probably host it for a nite so everyone can get it Also my email address is a cable internet account, not hotmail so it should handle it easy PM me if u can

Yeh almost the entire car is made out of silicon carbonate or something its insane, Altho, ide have to say no to the $1Million pricetag Not worth $1Million in my opinion Imagine an R34 GTR VspecII NUR with $800,000 spend on it hehehe BOOOYA!
-
ahh ok, in theory 14psi at 2000rpm sounds ridiculous thats only 1000rpm higher than idle! hehe

I post this in every which oil thread: I believe the best Oil you can use for GTR (and gtst) is Motul 300v series I use chrono because its closest to the factory specs IE 10w30 A tiny bit thicker than standard but not too much. Im not the only one who thinks its the best oil for GTR/GTSt, So does Nismo Oh and that oil filter above is awesome! Where can u get them? I cant find them anywhere around here anymore. I payed $40 per 2L can of Motul 300V Chrono at Autobahn on special order. Its well worth it, i can honestly say that the 300V has made a difference to the behavior of my engine.. in a good way!

1Bar at 2000rpm! are u sure? Mine spools really early, havent really watched it to be honest, but boost hits in the low 2000rpm bracket It did this before i installed the AVCR, but now it produces more boost alot earlier and the boost response is crisper.. guess thats the advantage of replacing a 10+ year old standard solenoid
-
*Replacing fuel pump soon, this is thread i didnt want to see* Obviously something will fail if installed improperly or abused. But im leaning more towards a Nismo direct fit 250L/h pump off nengun compared to a Bosch 040, what do you guys think?
-
Its 99% likely that the Mines ECU is set up for japanese conditions IE 100+octane fuel and way colder conditions So running 98 which is the best octane we have here, at high boost and high rpm will see some problems My advise; Before doing anything with/to the car, put it on a dyno and see if theres any problems

Highest safe boost for stock r34 turbo.
knore replied to Driver's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
You will hit limiters/cuts before you boost the turbo that high that it breaks  Im fairly certain 14psi is the limit for all of the GTST/GTT series, altho the difference between 12psi and 14 is very little with the standard turbo. I hit 0.95Bar on my car last nite on the freeway, didnt have any problems at all, and it pulled very hard. But ide never run that boost during the day or anywhere other than the freeway. If your on the freeway cruising, at night, with a nice intercooler and cold inlet temps, then give 14psi a go, otherwise stick to 12psi my 02c -
Well the mines ECU may cause problems over 6000rpm due to less octane fuel in australia (assuming it was originally tuned in japan) Depending on tuning and turbo, ide say 210-230rwkw fairly easily on about 14psi
-
Get some kind of tunable control over your ecu, either full management or atleast a fuel computer I dont think its the fuel pump, i know of alot of people who have upgraded to big fuel pumps and have no dramas, the FPR will only allow so much flow.. no more

Veilside R34 Drag Car Twin GT3240 2.7L made 1017hp at the wheels i have the video right here

Yeh i like porches but none of them really stand out to me, but the GT is insane, The bestmotoring or topgear or whatever drive of it is pretty cool, he has the same reaction as when he was driving the 1000hp JUN Lemon 33GTR.. he basically just says "WOW, u need to be awake to drive this!"

Also wire 53 is the speed signal wire for AVCR boost controller, so i dont want to cut it unless i cut it after where ive spliced in the avcr wire?

Missfire Boost@4500-5500 RPM - The Answer! (for me at least!)
knore replied to Nightman's topic in General Maintenance
Did this today while i had my plugs out to regap them, cant say i had a problem before but i did it anyway.. I ran the car on .95bar tonite on the highway and no problems all the way to redline, not a single miss, hesitation... nothing. I recently put Trust VSPL intercooler kit, AVCR and Trust Catch can on. I couldnt run over 8psi with the above setup, but after regapping plugs to 0.7 from 1.1 and taping the coil packs, it runs 13psi like a dream. I think this is something everyone should do, it has all benefits and no disadvantages. Oh, and cheers niteman I doubt anyone would of ever have figured this out, but u definately did stumble upon something good. Props to you! -
Both those turbos are a little big for RB26 Best combo would be 2835PRO x2 Veilside used this set on their r34 drag car and made 1017hp i think, or maybe that was 3037
-
Im back All i can say is WOW!! I did a highway run at .95bar and she pulls like a mother****er! Perfect all the way to redline, no missing or problems at all. Today i gapped my iridiums to about .7-8, they were 1.1mm, taped up the coil packs while i had them out, this really does work! And i also put catch can on Thats adding to the trust ic and avcr i put on the other day hehe Avcr is amazing, ive used them before, but never personally with my own car, the boost control is amazing, it holds whatever i set and holds it perfect. Boost is stronger and faster down low and when changing gears on boost, there is 0 lag. adrenelin is pumping :headspin:

LEGEND! thanks mate im off for a drive
