Sydney Naturally Aspirated (N/a) Club
SKITTLES replied to zahmad's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I'm joining for the sake of cruises notifications. It's just a club guys, don't be so quick to hate. -
You guys do realize that your over-used profanities are bringing you down to the level, right? I struggle to take any opinion seriously when all they're saying is "...f**k...shit...f**kwits". It's even harder when you can't even spell your profanity right. I'm not going to point people out, but Birds has demonstrated a very mature approach to expressing his thoughts as opposed to the various authors of other posts. George; While comparing shooting people to burnouts is a bit of an extremity, I do feel that's what people do sometimes. In response to the driveway; that is annoying. Get the boostcruisers out there cleaning it up imo. As long as the people organizing the cleanup take a "Our mess our responsibility" approach with a mentality of "We don't want to disadvantage the funeral home after what they did for our mate", then it'll be a successful exercise. Silvia GTR; Good point, I was just thinking in a 'then-and-there' frame of mind and didn't consider alternative locations. I now know what I'm planning for my funeral...

I've done similar searches and can vouch for this statement. Begin your 2/3 years of hatred for the government and that constant sickness in your stomach whenever you think about owning a nice car. Been doing it for around 2 years now. My lifes on hold until I can get my full license so I can get a R32 GTR and be done with all this bullshit.

Which should I get? I was just going to grab swaybars without any thought before I realized there are different millimetres in these ebay title descriptions. What would be best for drift? What's the millimetres mean? Any particular brand you'd recommend? Was thinking of these: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nissan-Skyline-R33-GTS-94-99-Rwd-Swaybar-20mm-h-duty-R-/120613855465?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c152560e9#ht_4887wt_1141

What's Needed For Basic Drift Setup?

For future reference; I've never had an oil problem with the car sideways, but I've only done it a couple times and was too busy watching other things. I DO know, however, that when I was testing the brakes in it, I smashed them to the floor and the oil pressure (or whatever it is) guage suddenly dropped and the car almost stalled. -

Interesting thought about the harness.... As for leaving stock; the R32 has a lot of body roll and whilst it's still very driftable (not that I'd know >.>) it's a little unpredictable. Easier to stiffen the suspension and put some sway bars in before I head out. Due to money, I can't get out on the track fo ra while, so might as well save up in the meantime for the gear. -
Man SAU is a freaking awesome club. First Pezheads missus car, now Aarons car accident. Glad to know you're all taking care of each other

I was thinking of getting a $400 pair of seats hahaha just el cheapos... wonder if they're any good >.> Yeah, gotta change the brake pads. I'll have to do the rear brakes, they don't seem to be grabbing the wheels too hard. -

If I sell my car, I'll come have a look.

Okay now I don't know anything about the people who died or the people ripping skids.... but here's my 2c.... Let's assume that the people who died loved a good burnout (Hey, some of us love it. That's why we hit up wsid on a wednesday). What if they were right in assuming the deceased would appreciate a couple of burnouts at their funeral? Is it then a respectful tribute to the deceased? I personally don't think there's anything wrong with burnouts, but that's another topic.

The original plan was to put an RB25 into it, seeing as the engine has 227,000KM on the clock. But the existing RB20DET is going stronger than my RB25DE with 165000km... This is pretty much my favorite pic atm. Thanks for the tips though, I think I'll get a locker and use that for a bit before getting a 2 way lsd. I don't know if it's got hicas, but i'll check it out tonight. You callin' me fat? So the floor bar thingo is pointless? -
I'm thinking about turning my R32 into a drift car instead of trying to sell it.. I have the following shopping cart planned but my friend said I needed a few extra things. My currently planned list: Coilover Suspension Suede deep-dish steering wheel w/ boss kit sparco seat fmic LSD However he's informed me that once I upgrade from wet roads to dry roads, I could risk twisting my chassis unless I install something like that brace that runs through the center of the car. So that said, what else am I going to need for getting into dry road drifting (obv. I'm talking track)

Wtb: Nissan Skyline R33 Gt
SKITTLES replied to 17yostagea's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
I have an R33 GTS25, but it's manual. Not hard to pick it up, and cops don't really care if you got an auto license and driving manual. No trades though. 10k firm so you'd have to find another 3k -
give me a call. check my signature.

mm that sucks That's okay, I've got an R33 GTS25.. same engine as yours. Will give a 180sx a good run for it's money on a freeway. Not that I've ever done anything like that, though. I was just reading some boostcuising threads before and someone said they did that...
