  1. sory about the spelling! but yea ive seen this before,no bige to pull the sump and big end cap an shove it up for a look, best of luck kid
  2. its a cracke dringland more than lightl, pull the piston
  3. have you tuned the ecu to suit the injectors eg power fc have you adjusted the duty on the hand controler-
  4. pull the fuel pump fuse, replace the plugs and crank the engine till it fires then replace the fuel pump fuse the fuel has washed the cylinder walls, maybe your car has forged low compression pistons, get the car started and run it for about an hour then if your worried do another comp test and do it properly, wide open throttle all plugs removed and crank till the gague doesent increece
  5. well next up is either a higher psi actuator or a second spring fitted to it and to polish the casting marks from the inside of the rear exhaust housing and maybe open it a tiny amount, so far it makes 1 bar by 3krpm ish and provides a nice punch in the back of the head for overtaking
  6. you found enough varience to lock up the crank in one position? you got the wrong bearings.
  7. unless he is running a turbo from a 20 litre caterpillar he should run a stock bov in factory recirc layout, cheapest and best option imo
  8. my opinion is that people shouldnt make any claims unless they have documented factual proof, they should be a clear and concise, heresay and "what my mate has" should be left out of it, people search forums like this for the correct answer but unfortunately everybody has different views, you could read this thread end to end and still come to no prooven conclusion, imo vta blow off valves lead to poor idle and stalling issues, the factory recirc wins for me,nissan clearly know more than us lot,any extra stress on a turbo is best avoided- fact. stress is increeced on a turbo when the throttle is closed and the turbo continues to wind and if it does slow it has to be re spooled again ,correct my spelling if you want, noisy bovs are for boy racers imo
  9. what a load of utter shit talk! its king of like getting 100 people to talk about neucleer reactors, 98 of the people have no scientific background what so ever and just like the sound of there voices 2 of the people are genuine scientists who know what they are talking about result: you cannot hear what the scientists have to say because of all the shit talkers, this thread is 98% full of shit and i dont know where to start, suggest deleeting the lot and starting agian!
  10. its best practice to get it out of there, seen as you have broken an easy out in the stud the option of drilling it out is limmited to useing a pencil grinder with a high speed rotary burr,if you have one of these you will be luckey lol the easyout should be too hard for a regular drill bit, plan b as stated above, and your best option in my opinion is to place a nut over the hole and weld through the hole in the nut on to the snapped stud, just make sure you chip the slack off periodically if your doing a stick weld easy outs are genraly a fail when it comes to these things for starters by there very nature they are a smaller diameter than the bolt to be extracted so inherintly weak
  11. do you think I should get a tunner? lol have a look at a few gt30 wastegate actuator setups, no tosser tunners work on my car.
  12. turbos in and fitted pics http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/showthr...6614&page=3 its a bit rough as i ran out of time and needed the car for a journey but there ya go fitted
  13. lol at 2rismo and the internet mechanics!so true tue place is just full of kids talking the talk
  14. im just looking to buy a garrett gt30 rear exhaust housing,i believe the genuine garrett option is best suited to my turbo,gt30 71r non cropped turbine
  15. any chance you have a garret gt30 ex hausing with rb style flange on there do you?internally gated if possible
  16. sounds like the downpipe is catching the wastegate?
  17. i duno but im looking for the same in a .6 internally gated
  18. high speed dentst drill and a carbide bit or hers one for you weld a nut the same diameter as the origonal bolt head onto the shank, the nut will almost shutter the weld pool so it doesent contact the rest of the casting, ive done this many times before
  19. when you back off the throttle in a throttle boddied engine on overun the engine creates a vacume, on both the exhaust side and the inlet side so these engines can infact suck things into the engine through the exhaust,im quite sure of this, although its normaly the gtrs that do this,do a compression test. im not talking shit.
