I followed the tut above for my 34, no problems, no noise, nothing, works an absolute charm. Although sometimes when I am near redline in 2nd, the change to 3rd doesnt go in. Never used to happen with the stock setup, maybe the gearbox/clutch is playing up a bit shorter/quicker throw My guess is that something is probably loose.

Its blowing cold air, but could be colder I guess, my brothers Toyota is really really cold! How much is a regas? should try to squeeze it in before the start of summer.

I have them on 345mm all around, they used to be on 335-340mm. Almost no noticeable difference after raising the car up.

how do you know if the aircon needs regassing or whether the aircon system is just stuffed? and do R34's need regassing in the same way that R33's do? i heard some cars aren't supposed to be regassed

walkoau: any idea how many T5/T6.5 bulbs needed in the main dash? and the centre cluster? Is it 4 for the main dash and 3 in the centre gauges? Thanks

Have confirmed, main dash and centre gauges are actually T6.5 bulbs, but T5 bulbs can be put into the T6.5 base to fit. Anyone disagree?

Hi all Does anyone know: 1) what size bulbs are behind main dash for speedo, fuel, water temp and tacho? and how many? 2) what size bulbs are behind the centre meter cluster? and how many? 3) what size bulbs are behind the aircon unit? and how many? 4) also are they bulbs you can simply replace by popping out the bulb and putting in a new one? note: I mean popping it out of the holder and putting purely a bulb back into the old holder. Someone has said that they are T6.5 bulbs, but the actual T5 glass bulb part can fit into a T6.5 bulb holder. Thanks

Hmmm i am a little worried now seeing as I have an Exedy HD due to go in soon.

I think its normal, tiny brake particles (some of which are metallic) can always be found on your discs. Run your finger on the disc (after it has cooled down) and youll get some dust on it. Hence when it rains = rust. Dont think you can do anything about it. Its even more obvious after washing the car. Happens to all cars, nothing to be worried about.

Hate to add to the non topic related responses but here is my 2c: If you have a budget, and that is most of us, save on the rims, spend big on tyres! Chances are you'll find yourself in all sorts of unfavourable situations with expensive jap quality rims wrapped with crappy tyres. Always spend as much as you can afford on tyres, they'll save your life! Everyone talks about $2500 Work rims, but factor in the costs of proper tyres, and your looking at almost $4000. If you can afford this, then go cheaper on the rim, spend more on the tyre. PS: the yellow car with the snapped off rim, that rim just looks like a completely crap design, thin spokes, not enough support near the hub. Probably not the best choice for a china copy. Perhaps if it was a little beefier, and was a china copy, it wouldn't have happened.

I bought a huge catco 5" body one, got my full exhaust fitted all at once so dont know what the gain on the cat was. Dont think it was the 10rwkw he claimed and i was expecting though.

Does turbo size matter though? Isnt it just the longer pipes that cause the response change?

I wonder if a change from a R34 SMIC on a GTT to a FMIC will show the same benefits
