  1. It can as its simply a sticker. It is stuck on pretty hard, but I am sure a heat gun or something would be able to get it off. Polish it and itll look like it never had a sticker. I think its nicer with that sticker there though.
  2. Oh and hoses seem fine last time I had the mechanics check it.
  3. Hi all I got this extract from the web: "To check your booster, with engine off..pump brakes several times to get rid of residual vacuum. Then while holding the brake pedal down, start the engine. If booster is working you will feel the pedal drop. If your pedal is almost going all the way to the floor, it is usually adjustment or air in system. If it is hard and doesn’t move, then it is probably a brake booster issue." Are the above statements correct? Lately my brakes seem to have deteriorated. There is more pedal travel in the brakes, especially after driving it around for a bit. When stopped at the lights and hold the car still, I can push the brake pedal further by stepping on it really hard. It feels as if it might hit the bottom but doesnt quite get there. When I tried the above test with the car off, I pumped the brakes until they became hard, then started the engine. The pedal dropped down a fair bit, but again, didnt hit the bottom. Also, when I am stopped at the lights, I have tried pumping the pedal several times. It doesnt get harder or softer, and the pedal doesnt come up from its original position. I am a little worried because every now and then when I brake, and brake hard, it feels like the brakes dont wanna stop the car. I have machined all 4 discs, replaced all 4 pads with good ones, and have driven the car over 5000kms since. I have also had a mechanic bleed the brakes twice with good fluid. There are no signs of leaks as I have never had to top up my brake fluid in the year that I have had my car, I also cant find any leaks anywhere. Any ideas? Thanks, much appreciated!
  4. So do i gain anything out of getting an EBC over using the stock boost control system seeing as I am already on 10psi? Dammit was hoping to get more out of the car by upping the boost, darn exhaust has already done that.
  5. Its a stock R34 GTT boost gauge, where is that reading from? So 10psi manifold pressure = 10psi turbo pressure?
  6. Hmm I already have one and boost has gone from 8 to 10psi because of it. Just wondering whether getting an EBC will give me more power if I set boost to 10psi, ie. will I be able to run "more" boost in the actual car if I dial it in at 10psi. Or will I have any other significant gain.
  7. 1.3' (1 degree 30 minutes) is actually 1.5 degrees But if that is the most you can get that nothing much can be helped unless you get anoter rear camber kit.
  8. Hi all I have a question. Say if you up the boost of your car by using a boost controller and boost reads 10psi, is it the same as your boost getting upped by a full exhaust to 10psi? ie. is the effect of a full exhaust increasing boost the same as actually boosting it up via some controller? I ask this because I have read on these forums that a boost increase by an exhaust isnt actually different to a controlled boost increase. Some have mentioned that an exhaust boost increase is not an actual increase in turbo pressure, something about the boost in the engine being different to boost in the actual turbo itself? *confused* maybe Ive read the posts wrong. Thanks
  9. What do you mean by not as bad. For the street, I have found that alot of people recommend Endless SSS Street/Track: Ferodo DS2500, amazing performance, but dusty and noisy at low speed
  10. Thats pretty amazing, I have almost the same power mods (no FMIC) on a GTT and am only getting 165. I dont know whether this is true but an AFR of 13 might be a little dangerous, I think 1 point is actually quite a difference. Great result anyways dude
  11. And do they have a great initial bite to them?
  12. keep us in the loop with the dust thanks jmac! a picture of the dust after a few days/week would be handy.
  13. Where can we get one of those from?
  14. Hi Any news on the dustiness? Thanks
  15. Cool thanks that would be v. good! Interested to know how the car does as I might go for that option (same mods) A write up on driveability, comfort, performance, fuel economy, response, and any problems would be very helpful Cheers
  16. I have a full exhaust and pod and yes sometimes the guage reads 0.9 as well, very close to 1 which is around 14psi. I have no other mods at all so no way my car is running 12-13psi. I am guessing the gauge is faulty? time for a new one
  17. I think the GTT discs are 309mm? someone correct me if I am wrong.
  18. Okay just found out my current Formula Ferodos are 0.46 coeffecient with temp range from 0 to 650 celsius. I am guessing the endless pads wont be as good then. Although because they are cooler pads, they would probably have a nicer initial bite, and hopefully less dust than the Ferodos
  19. Seems like the HKS units are usually a couple hundred more expensive than the Blitz ones. Is this just because its a "HKS" or are there more useful functions/better quality?
  20. So how does it go with the turbotech in Howie?
  21. Hi all Both of these units I can source for roughly the same price, which would be better seeing as the same amount of money is to be spent on them. Note: HKS EVC 4 I am referring to is the latest one (HKS have different versions for different countries) Blitz: http://www.nengun.com/catalogue/product/317 HKS http://www.nengun.com/catalogue/product/246 I like the look of the Blitz more and Id say both are comparable in performance, dont know whether this is a safe assumption to make though. Cheers
  22. Argh I guess coefficients are hard to make a decision by because they operate at different temps like you said. Best thing to go on is experience then. BB: in comparison to say Bendix Ultimates how dusty are the SSS? I think the Ultimates are almost on par with the current pads I have in terms of dustiness, except its more of a fine brown than black dust.
  23. How dusty is not too dusty BB? My wheels get a tinge of brown dust with my current pads after one day in the city. A week after, they are pretty much fully brown haha! Quite annoying. Also how were they on the initial bite? ie. did they wipe off alot of speed quickly? Finally, my current pads have a average coefficient of 0.43, how will the Endless pads compare then? less effective I guess?
