  1. It's actually very thick as it's for hail protection. Yeah, It has four straps which are not done up. One front, rear and two between the wheels. Bit of a pain trying to get it across under the car though as it's lowered and the ground I park on is not that level. Generally, just do the end ones only since it's a snug fit. It has elastic at both ends, so fits under the front bar very well and the back not so since I have a tow bar. However, it's never blown off in any of the storms I've experienced.. I paid $229 at Nowra Repco two Xmases ago. On special and I've never seen another one since. Trying to get one for my partner's Rav 4 3 door Cruiser.
  2. As promised, here are some shots of the cover on the car. BTW, it says 'L' on the cover bag as well as the tag on the cover.
  3. Just realised I have something on in the morning that will drag onto midday. Forgot to write it on the calendar and the missus reminded me. Bugger!!! Bugger!!! Bugger!!!
  4. I'm going so it will take me around 3hrs 17mins according to Google maps to get to Newcastle. What time are you want to meet at Maccas if you're going? It's about 1hr 42mins from my place but with the rain and road work on the upper mountain roads could be longer...
  5. I've got a set of standard 17x7s. Tyres have done about 7000Kms. I bought them to get me out of trouble with rego over a year a ago for $320. Are you going to the Newcastle meet 'n' cruise on the 12th? I'm planning to go so could bring them along?
  6. Looks like the cover I have may not be made anymore. Anyway, I'll put it on the car and take a photo to upload in the next few days.
  7. Craig, did see ya but thought you were flashing about highway patrol cars. Belated
  8. Further to my last posting... http://www.superoneauto.com.au/ is the distributors website in OZ. Sam Silvestro is the owner.
  9. I've got an Autotecnica cover. Completely waterproof and hail proof. Check out their website... http://www.autotecnica.com.au/covers.html. They are also sold by Auto One and Supercheap Auto. I'm happy with mine. I don't have a garage so the car gets covered when left for extended periods.
  10. Yeah, in future, look before ya open door, mate!!!!! BTW, which event are you going to on 12th???
  11. Spotted red C34 on Lachlan Valley way just out of Boorowa around 1:50pm.An older gentlemen driving with an older female passenger. RED ??? numbers plates. Waved but no acknowledgement...though I was stopped waiting for the on coming traffic, in which he was proceeding, through a road works so may have been concentrating on the road instead.
  12. Certainly didn't see me last weekend, though I didn't see any Stageas during my stay but a few skylines. I'll be there again this weekend, Friday thru Monday.
  13. Yeah it was somewhat sublime, but something happened to my little smiley which made it look like i was serious.... BTW, a polar bear cub is likely to starve first before it gets a cough due to the ice melting in the Arctic and being able to follow mum along to any blow hole for the next meal of seal.
  14. I don't reckon they'd survive the heat of the lower mountains.... but they definitely eat mozzies and don't jump onto your feet at night... Need some in the back garden as I suffer badly from mozzies..
  15. Don't kill them...they are an endangered species. Just stop them getting in your downpipes!!! Check out http://www.environment.gov.au/cgi-bin/sprat/public/publicspecies.pl?taxon_id=1827. All my downpipes are connected to a tank and I have gutter guard so nothing gets in. My pond has rare frog species so I let them live as they eat the flies, etc.
  16. 4 days in Canberra, Thu arvo to Mon morning, and not one sighting. Not impressed with the average speed cameras planned for Hindmarsh Drive, either side of Red Hill. Plans to bring them online in late Feb after lightning damaged them. Purely for revenue raising I say. Yeh, sure there are hoons racing up and over Red Hill but having to use your brake constantly down hill is ridiculous. Reading the local paper suggests a 2% tolerance at most due to some legislation change in 2006 for speed measurement. I guess if it's successful, then NSW won't be far behind. Already got on one on GWH east of Bathurst for trucks.
  17. Spotted a white NM35 RX for sale on Ingelside Rd, Ingelside, NSW on Sat. Standard with beige leather interior and electric driver's seat. Priced at $11,990.
  18. Contact Japlink in Haberfield NSW as they usually have some stuff available.
  19. I'm keen since I missed the one at Wiseman's ferry last year.
  20. Spotted StagGTR's stagea at Bunnings in Jamisontown (Penrith NSW) today around 5pm today. Had a chat about the various mods to our cars. Pete's car looks great with the R34 front and even better in black.
  21. Try Japlink as they have a Japanese mechanic. I bought my car (NM35) from them in March 2010. I've had Brembo brakes and 3" exhaust system and custom dump pipe installed and some oil/filter changes. Also had both front drive shafts replaced by them. I'd recommend them.
  22. Saw a silver M35 on GWH in Faulconbridge this arvo around 6pm going east. I waved through the screen but it was dirty so not seen. Wagon boy perhaps?????
