  1. +1!! They will take an 18" with an offset +33 or greater.
  2. Thanks for the link Dale. I've just bought 2 bags as well.
  3. [nsw] Spotted in Chatswood, black c34 with roof spoiler parked in Penshurst St
  4. [NSW] Spotted black NM35 at Lawson at 8:37 this morning going west. Was this Daleo?
  5. I got in around 7:50 after going home via Golden Highway+Bylong Valley Way. Thanks to the organisers for a great day. I've lost my virginity and very happy it was on the putty..... Thanks to those attending the motorcyclist. Great work. Glad he's still alive. Could have been worse what with the armco and those trees. The Bylong Valley way is a great road but a bit more bumpy than the Putty and narrower. Some great 25km hairpins that I did in 2nd and then blasted in between. It was after 6pm, dark and raining and had of all things a Rav4 up my tail all the way. My car was a bit slippery on the corners and the first time I've done the road. The Rav obviously knew the road and then past me in Rylstone taking a short cut. Need to fix the rear suspension now. Hey, what about the gold coin donation? I didn't have any one to give the money to and didn't see a collection bucket.
  6. Definitely a misprint...actually $265 per tyre. Just calculated 28K so far with little apparent wear. I had them on my magna and got 70K out of a set. Didn't notice any decline in grip and even so with the Stagea.
  7. I've got a Storm Guard and it's large. Posted photos here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/390363-found-a-good-car-cover/page__p__6232948__hl__autotechnica__fromsearch__1#entry6232948
  8. I'll be there. Coming down Bells Line to RAAF base meeting point. Planning to go home via the Golden Way+Bylong Valley way. Only 15 minutes longer from Singleton to my place than returning down Putty Rd. Got my fluffy toy for the front of the car.
  9. I'm running Mastercraft Avenger Touring LSR tyres in 245/45/18 96V. They are good for 60k if rotated at 5k which I've been doing. They are a harder compound, 520 I think, but with the sway bar upgrades on my car it still handles very well up/down the GWH in the mountains. Also good on the Bells Line too. I got my for about $365 each at Springwood (NSW) tyre service. 10. Scared to take it out in the rain, Alex????
  11. Don't pick on all English cars Dale I've owned 4 Ford Cortina MKIIs 69/70 models, '79 TE Cortina (Australian built version of the MKIV but with the 4.1L 6-cylinder motor) and a V6 Capri. The only problems were getting parts. The MKIIs were great cars to work on with the Kent 1600 motor. Pulling out the engine and gearboxes were a breeze and picking them up by myself and putting on the work bench. With the help of my brother, who also owned one too, we re-built both motors and gearboxes. The final two MKIIs had a single Weber 45mm sidedraftt carby and Cosworth A6 grind camshaft (rev range 3600-7000rpm). The first two had the GT twin throat Weber downdraft and specially made rims from Hopwood Racing at Kingsgrove, NSW. They were 13x7 with reversed centres so the overall track was 6" wider than the normal 5" rims. All the suspension rubbers were replaced with the nolathane rubbers specially made by a bloke in Dunheved as they were not available commercially. The V6 Capri was a project car but after having it in the backyard for 8 years finally got a cheap respray done so I could get rid of it as I was travelling overseas. It had 13x7 Dragways, lowered Selby suspension and twin stainless exhaust and extractors. I sold it to a mate for $5500. I actually nearly spent $10K on it. The TE had black Scheel bucket seats and a Supra 5 speed gearbox and the only problem with it was that being alloy, it overheated and it was difficult to get into reverse. Always had to put in first gear to stop the shafts spinning. Only got rid of it as I couldn't get insured for the full amount that I had spent on it. I had all the rust cut out and it cost as much as the then insured value. I still have the driver's seat but sold the passenger one last year. Also owned a Holden Camira JE, the electronic injected version, Nissan Pulsar N14 SSS, Holden 1 tonner with 308 and 650 Holley, then a Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-T and finally a Magna TJ Series II Sports sedan before buying the Stagea. I've got pictures of the Cortinas, Capri, Pulsar and Skyline but yet to scan them in.
  12. Hi Justin, Yes, they are still for sale. I'm down in Chatswood on the 23rd so could meet you somewhere or let me know where you are. Also doing the Putty Rd drive on the 22nd. Cheers, Russel
  13. That happens to me on a daily basis Oh, I'll have to get a better colostomy bag
  14. [NSW] Spotted ZedHead70 in his Stagea on GWH going west from Katoomba near Explorer's Tree around 1300. Exchanged
  15. TzEr0 Not sure whether you're still looking but I think Envy Imports is owned by Nth Shore Prestige. Ben Willmot is the MD. My Skyline was purchased from them in 2002 and my current Stagea was complied by them. Rosella
  16. Spotted yesterday morning around 8:30am on the M4 going west between Maccas and the M7 exit, one white RS260. I was going east in mine.
  17. Spotted a wine red ARX (one with the stick on black edges on the guards) in car park at Harvey Norman lighting at Penrith NSW around 9:45 this morning. Exchanged waves and big . T'was a female driver. Are they on the forum?
  18. Here are the photos..... A break in the rain.... Any type would probably fit but these are 135mm W x 40mm D x 30mm.
  19. I'll get a shot of the lamps this weekend. It's raining again and I hate going outside in it. Hopefully, if there's a break I'll sneak out and take a photo... BTW, I bought the lamps on E-bay from a seller in Sydney. I studied so many of them, my head was spinning. I didn't like some of the chinese ones on offer. Got burnt a few times on some purchases not being what they seemed. Here's hoping there is no more rain for a while.
  20. Here's what I've done to the car since purchase... Hdi FMIC, Transgo shift kit, Brembos from 60th Ann 350Z, custom 3" exhaust with Scotty's dump pipe, uprated sway bars from Selbys/Fulcrum, PWR transmission cooler, LED daytime/fog lamps, air horns above FMIC. Still to do - bonnet strut kit (no garage and it's been raining constantly in the Mountains), EBC, possible info meter and double DIN DVD/CD + reversing camera + navigation. Considering a Scheel drivers seat I've had since 1988, big wrap around shoulders and still in good nick. It's migrated from car to car. Some new wheels to replace the T7s. Attached is a photo taken before the foggies and transmission cooler. More photos to follow.
  21. Spotted a white m35 on stopped at traffic lights at Wilson Way run off on Great Western Highway at Blaxland going west around 16:25 yesterday. Aero front bar, std rear. Older woman driver exchanged waves.
