Its a shame you act like a complete dickhead then.
-
Trained for 10 years. I think that's enough for me. But you're just a smart mouthed dickhead that has read a few forums. I bet youve done f**k all actual modding. If any at all. I don't know what you're trying to prove either, you keep coming back here. Must have a boring life.

Dude I'm pretty sure the ARP studs are around 80 foot pounds. That's a lot more that nm. I'll check in about an hour for you.
-
Mine had two washers for each stud.
-
Ahhh actually, I bet you didn't install the two washers that go on the stud before you put the nut on? Big washer then a slightt smaller one.
-
For the cam caps? About 12 nm. You'll need a very small torque wrench.
-
There is something seriously wrong... Cold test should make at least 150psi. Is the timing right? Fark I can't think at the moment of where you could even start

Reminds me of a mackay guy that said his RB20 was a forged 2.4 stroker. Sold it as that too. Engine died and my mate obtained it for parts. Was a 100% stock RB20. NOt a single bolt touched on the engine. Probably not even for servicing.
-
Actually, I even modded one to run my mates r32 gts-t and it was still simple. Barely any cutting or soldering. Keep it up, you can pretend that you are cool. But you really must fail at life. I'm glad constantly trying to be cool on a forum makes you feel a little bit better about it. If I wasn't such a calm person, I would have ended up punching you in the face by now if I knew you or met you. But, instead I'll just feel sorry for you needing to make up for your shortfalls. Good luck anyway. Your mouth will catch up with you, not all people are smart enough to control themselves like I can.

I've done a few d jetros, they are really simple to install. As you said, almost plug and play.

at all

I had the GT3076 or the "GT3037" 0.6 Surge slotted comp cover 0.63 rear housing Put the 0.82 rear housing on when I switched to the RB30. I found the surge slotting was ok, especially when I had the BOV removed for a short period of time, and when in higher boost the factory BOV couldn't keep up and it created reversion. Would have loved to try a non surge slotted cover, but I have heard stories of the surge slotting allowing more air in further down the blades, allowing the turbo to spool faster. Wouldn't have a clue if it does or not though, its something you'd have to try yourself. Callan, what is your lag like? On the RB25 I had 18psi by 3400 in third On the RB30 I had 18psi by 3000 in third, maybe earlier. Hard to tell it moved that quick.

Gt48? What engine? Will be interesting how streetable it actually is Sounds like a kind of "point and shoot" arrangement..lol

well..I just checked and the prices have dropped a little since i looked last. But pretty close.. GOOD Pistons & Rings $1400 Spool Rods: $700 Rod Bolts: $200 Bearings: $200 Balance: $400 Crank Collar & Fitted: $200 Total: $3100 Crank journals \ Block tunnels might need machining - $possible $500 - $1k depending on what needs to be done.. I'd even get the crowns of the pistons and the combustion chambers HPC'd. Price isn't too bad. Just need to balance after this is done. 3.4 Stroker, with all of those parts, already balanced with a brand new crank that is capable of high revs, is only $5k.. Then buy a GTR one day and transfer this bottom end to it... lol To me it just seems like a better buy and more piece of mind.
-
Seriously dysonest - Just f**k up and stop shit stirring. Let the thread get back on track. I'm sick of your shit.
-
HAve you looked at the 3.4l stroker kit? I know its a little bit more, but its good value if you can stretch a grand or two more. By the time you by rods, pistons, rings, rod bolts and bearinigs, and balance you're around $3k - $3.5k 3.4L stroker has a new crank, rods, pistons, bolts, bearings and rings and is $5k. I think it is already balanced. WHen you think about it, $1500 really isn't that much more for a torque monster. Plus you wouldn't have many lag issues.
-
Whatever hey, you've already proven that you're just a smart mouthed dickhead, right from your first post, with no constructive input. And no I don't know everything, but I help out where I Can, inntead of being a smart mouthed wanker, that thinks he's funny. There is a difference - Especially when the car weighs around 800kgs (half the weight) NOS is involved, and is making around 800rwhp. And don't you worry, it was strapped down well. It was coming on VERY hard which was the issue.

I did contract work for a performance shop for a while here tuning imports for them. MOst notable was a RX7 rotor that wanted to jump off the dyno. Had a GT3540 strapped to it, running 20psi. But I got busy doing other things like rebuilding my own engine, and getting my car back on the road. My current Engineering \ Senior Management job pays a hell of a lot more than a tuning shop so I'd rather do both. You're only kidding yourself being a wanker about all of this. ANd as I have said, you have not constributed one single constructive post in this thread whatsoever. And after a quick search on SAU - if anything at all. Your just a kid that reads forums, and "drives around". Just keep posting your shit stirs, I'm just going to keep calling you a wanker. At the end of the day, all I've done is help people, not be a f**kwit starting shit. Go and close a door into your face. You're an immature dickhead.
-
Haha don't worry, had no intentions on buying that one, it looks a little too sus. Just wanted to point it out. I wonder if half of these guys realise how obvious some these dodgy looking things are?
-
On another note, Kingy, have a look at this: http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?Cr=1&R=11101749&keywords=&trecs=134&__sid=131BAD68E7FF&__Ns=pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|1||pCar_RankSort_Int32|1||pCar_Make_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&__Qpb=1&tsrc=allcarhome&__Nne=15&seot=1&__N=1216 Wonder if the 2.7l stroker is for real..? Would be pretty awesome if so.

Neo Vrs R33 Rb25 Piston And Rod Comparo With Pics.
The Mafia replied to Simon-S14's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
The RB25DE pistons just have a little more top on them to raise the compression further. I've got a RB25DE block and pistons here. From what I have noticed - The NEOs use GTR rods. They have more meat at the base of the rod, so they are stronger. -
Yeap, another person that reads forums, and thinks they know everything so they think its ok to foul threads up with smart ass immature shit? Don't worry about me then, your mate that reads forums is so awesome. I've tuned RBs, SRs, 10 second EJ20s, RB30s, Rotors, etc etc. I've fitted countless turbos, and built a couple of engines. The latest making 500hp. I was even the first person on SAU and possibly Australia to make the RB26 ECU work on a RB20, so people didn't have to buy the super expensive AP engineering version. I did it because I wanted to help out the RB community. But I don't know shit, so just be a smart ass, run me into the ground and talk complete shit, and make a c#nt act out of the thread. I couldn't give a stuff if he organises cruises and reads forums and think he knows everything - Doesn't give him the right away to come into a good thread and be a f**king wanker. If you want to support him in being a wanker ruining a thread, then you're a wanker too. Ben, Matt, etc - I'm sorry about biting, but it just gets my goat when some stupid young immature f%ck ruins a perfectly good thread with their bullshit thinking their the shit because they read a few forums. And the fact that he was paying me out for someone writing off my car, thats just being a low life piece of shit, and deserves a f**king back hand.

You don't really need to do anything before hand, as you can just show up, go through scruitineering, and race. But, you NEED to make sure you satisfy all the requirements: - Long sleeved shirt - Long pants - Closed in shoes - Andra Approved Helmet (There is a sticker on the helmet) This is VERY important. - Secure battery - No obvious major issues that they will consider dangerous. Me too. Need to hurry up and get my shit organised, and get this new car. Pissed that I didn't get to race the RB30 down, but once my mate has it in he'll be racing it. You going to race, or just going to have a look? There is a lot of interesting stuff racing out there most of the time. f**king madmen in the XR6Ts and Territory's though. There was even a Nissan patrol that ran a 12.8 last meet. Some shit really suprises you.

Sure am mate. GTSBoy answered your question quite well
