  1. I don't agree. Setup properly on a RB25 you can use the 0.63 rear. I will admit that I was running WMI though. This was a quick 1 hour tune at 18psi, then I put it in a dyno day. Full boost at 3200rpm. All 18psi of it.

  3. I bet it is running as lean as f**k, mine did with the 25 tune in it. Stop driving it or get it to a tuner stat.

  6. Ahaha 22 inch chrome spinners! That will actually fix the stalling problem too. the reflection from the chrome diffuses the air escaping and causes the ECU to reroute the encryptions and adjust the stall converter.

  8. I've actually got a copy and paste space where this is. Read on. I love these threads. You love the noise - and put the BOV on the car to be a wanker. Its scientifically proven that if you're a wanker, the first thing you do when you buy a Skyline is install a vent to atmosphere blow off valve, to advertise the fact that you are indeed, a wanker. Do you even know how the Nissan air intake system works? There is an AFM that measures the air entering the engine. The Stock BOV recirculates FOR A REASON. When your duck whistle, twisty whooshy twirly, dick pulling, sparkly, spinny, shiny, noisy, fuleh sic, wank off valve opens, it dumps air that the engine has measured and allocated fuel for. When only half the fuel gets into the cylinder because the air it measured is at the street corner where you sped up erratically and backed off because you saw some women on the corner, thinking that when they heard your BOV they'd get naked and run and dive into your car, the engine is now overfueled and under oxygenated, and stalls, backfires, and carries on. You know why? Because you've created a MASSIVE AIRLEAK on a system that will not run with airleaks. Do you like that fact that you will foul your plugs constantly? Do you also like attracting the cops attention? Do you like the risk of being defected and having to pay money for a BOV that didn't need to be there? Do you like the fact that you are just making skylines more hated? (And don't worry, its almost a guarantee that you'll drive through the main street of town making it release "because you like the wank off sound") Do you like it how women love the sound, get naked and dive into your car as you drive past? Do you think SAU will be happy about another "My car is running rough, I only installed a duck whistle, twisty whooshy twirly, dick pulling, sparkly fuleh sic wank off valve" thread They should create a database script that bans people that install BOVs "just for the sound" or complain when their car runs rough... I'm was running 300rwkw and had the stock BOV. Good luck with it though.
  9. Dude, you want a whole new turbo with the 6 blades. Not just the cover. Ask them for the GT3037. Or CHRA 700177-5007 It looks like the one in my avatar.
  10. seriously though, did you know how much horsepower is actually needed to drive a decent super charger? Some rob more than 100bhp from the engine. Its very obvious that this won't work, but people persist. Maybe read up a little more on engines in general and see how they work, physics of airflow vs heat vs pressure vs anything else you can think of. Get past the whole "asking what boost someone is running before even asking what sort of turbo they are running" sort of thing first, and then you'll start to realise lots more. This question is kind of like asking why you can't get solar panels, make them power a light, and then shine the light into the panels, make it go in circles and have free power.

He's got a full race spec GTS-T with a 25\30 in it. Was funny, he was racing one day, and the water pump shit itself and dumped a heap of water as he went through a fairly paced corner. Sent him doing 360's off the track. Lucky he didn't hit anything.

  13. Also, I had to use 2x 10mm spacers with the 0.7 cover. Only needed 1x 10mm spacer for the 0.6 cover. I bet you're glad I decided to post...
  14. Titan is 100% wrong. I had one, and it made 240rwkw. Maxed. Mater meth, and it made 250rwkw. Then I got a real gt3076r, 6 blades, surge slots, etc, made 300rwkw. Attached water meth and made 320rwkw. All on a 0.63 rear housing. Full boost by 3200rpm in 4th. Made 720nm and held that to the limiter.

  19. you haven't really thought this through have you? Why not nismo? By the time you replace the fuel rail, the extra cost will have been spent getting the nismos. Also, are you sure that top fed injectors are going to fit? Why not just high flow the standards to 700cc?
  20. lol. I can't believe some of the questions that get asked here, and then we get told not to flame. Ok, I'll make up some good ideas on the spot: 1. Why don't they just make pistons out of titanium? 2. Umm, why can't we just make a way to burn water instead of fuel? Its cheaper? 3. Why don't we replace spark plugs with plasma torches? You'd get better ignition? 4. To save problems with gearboxes, I'm going to try and just take away the gearbox, and make my engine rev higher, to say, 30,000rpm. Then we won't have to worry about breaking the gearbox? 5. Why aren't superchargers just electric? Thats easier right? oh, and look what I did to my turbo to make it better: "nissan spend millions in R&D and if it was such a good idea they would have done it before"

  22. Oh, and did you get the chome-moly top ring? It's for turbo applications. NA rings will do pretty much what you've just experienced.
  23. Boost pressure has absolutely nothing to with breaking rings. Combustion pressure does. You could fill the cylinder with 200psi of boost and it wont worry the rings. Put some fuel in there and light it, and thats another story. Things that make combustion pressure too high = detonation, pre ignition or water.
  24. Do these fit the R34 or is it different? Do you know what they compare to? Like -7s or something? I'm a bit new to the land of the GTR. I have a lot of comparisons to read up on and a lot of learning to do. I've got the cash sorted out, now I just need to find a good one. Couple of bayside blue ones went through, V-Specs too.
