  1. just leting you know that doing this will reduce the life of your engine by a significant amount.
  2. I'm pretty sure the R32GTR compression ratio is 8.7:1.
  3. even 520nm sounds high. Also, I had a 2.5inch dump pipe and that was a massive restriction.
  4. at 250rwkw my 555cc injectors were at 50% 440cc GTR injectors just make 300rwkw.. Surely thats enough of an answer?
  5. Well, since the heads are different, you can't interchange the parts (Intake & exhaust manifolds etc). The block, I'm not too sure but the crank and rods can be used, not the pistons because RB26 pistons have a different gugen pin position. Seriously, its not worth it. I'd rebuild the RB26 and complete swap the engines if you want the decent engine. Pull your old engine out and sell it to pay for the changover. But you mentioned the crank etc - you'd have to pull down the RB25 anyway to put it in? Just because the odometer says it has low km's, doesn't mean they are. 90% of imports are wound back... And some I have seen as much as 50,000kms to 100,000kms. THink about it - THe car will be 10 years old, and most likely have 20,000 on it.. A normal driver does about 10,000 per year.
  6. I could give you plently of useful info, but if you worded your post so that people could understand it, we might be able to help? For example, your first line barely makes sense?
  7. They are different engines... What makes you think that you can simply take the head of a RB26 and "slap her on a RB25" etc? Why don't you just rebuild the RB26 and put that in there as a whole?
  8. Just looking at your build - the GT3037 ProS won't go past about 320rwkw. You'll need a new turbo. Also, that pump will be maxed out, you'll need to get a bigger fuel pump.
  9. ahh, I love port shrouded compressor covers.. They sound soooo damn good when pulling in 20+psi of boost..
  10. Thats because the Nismo Injectors are a 4 hole injector, the rest are a 2 hole. 4 Smaller holes will atomise the fuel better.
  11. because the $200 255lph walboro is a 42psi pump is intended for NA applications.... So you want to put a NA fuel pump that can only handle low pressure into your turbo charged car? A HP version of the Walboro is around the $280 - $300 mark, and is 255lph. AND you need to modify the f**k out of everything to get it to fit, and its even more of a pain in the ass when it doesn't touch the bottom of the tank. The Nismo from Greenline is $330, is 275lph at 70psi, comes on its own bracket, has its own plug, and takes about 5 minutes to install. Oh, and it touches the bottom of the tank. Now if you're going to go to all that trouble modifying brackets, soldering plugs and being just a general stuff around, just to save probably $50, for a pump that is about half the quality. I'd rather Spend the extra $50, get a bigger pump, one that is designed buy manufacturer themselves (Nismo is in bed with Nissan) and something that is bullet proof. Also, if you say "well not all of us can spare $50" then why did you buy a skyline and intend on modding it?
  12. ok bright spark - why buy a 42psi pump that is going to max out straight away? Why not be smart and get a 275lph @ 70psi pump and have peice of mind that the pump isn't going beyond its intended purpose?
  13. This is right in the money. Well done.
  14. I don't know much about them but I can tell you that HKS like to make improvements with housings etc.
  15. haqve you checked your coilpacks?
  16. Injectors. Have you had a wideband up the pipe to see what its acutally doing?
  17. SLY33, do you have any results on your Extrusion honed manifold yet? I am keen to get this done.
  18. GTST - do you want to do the honours, or should I ?
  19. idle is BOV - its probably got a really small fluctuation that is causwe the bov to open and shut a little bit. Then after a while he BOV opens and shuts a little bit more and more each time, then eventually after 20 seconds, its opening too much on idle and you start to notice how much your piece of shit BOV is making the car run like a dog. Take it off and I bet the problem is fixed. Or prove me wrong, and put a piece of coke can inbetween it and block it off completely and tell me if it stops idling bad.
  20. rofl, you're not serious are you? I took my SII turbo off and the wheel looked and felt steel to me. I'm pretty sure the nylon spacer is behind the wheel.
  21. the wheels are still an alloy, not nylon. The SII have a nylon spacer behind them that causes them to fly off and destroy themselves if worked too hard.
  22. I don't care if the BOV was working before, I bet its causing the problem. Take the Piece of junk off and put a plumb back on, or put up with the stalling. Do a search for stalling and you'll find plenty of threads.
  23. thats fair enough, just as long as they aren't the low pressure ones that companies have sold to people telling them they are a "500hp" pump My Nismo is a 275lph @ 70psi. Plenty of fuel, trust me.
  24. Rich Flavour, if you want to get a lot of attention here, put a Atmosphere Blow off valve on, and then start a thead asking why your car stalls a lot. Either that or start a Plumb Back BOV vs ATMO BOV thread haha
