  1. close ......gold SF-Challenges http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/scas..._a/133_3353.jpg gawd i miss that car, i wish i had it now with the gtr......new owner has killed it with a ghey rep veilside ott rear wing
  2. white will be very easy to maintain yourself my recommendation is the Poorboys White Diamond - that will clean the paint cleaner and hide light swirls and then use a good high gloss sealant (synthetic wax) like Blackfire Wet Diamond - that should last around 3-4 months i wouldnt waste money/time on carnauba waxes on white, a sealant is what you want on white paint
  3. what colour? yep get it pro detailed and ill recommend a few things that you can have some fun with one bored sunday arvo
  4. mate recommending what products to use is almost impossible without seeing the condition of the paint what needs to be done? if you need to remove swirls and scratches you're going to need a machine, something user friendly like a meguairs g220, you'll want to get some practice with it before going to work on a car then you'll need polishing pads, and polishes.....all dependant on the level of correction its a pandora's box and best left to the pro's if you haven't been around the industry imo my advice is to get it pro-detailed, then maintain it yourself with some products you can use by hand - paint cleaners that have light abbrassives or even fillers, and a good wax or 2 suited to your colour and durability needs. This is what my mates do who don't know or don't have the time to correct paint by machine what i use personally is dependant on my mood, time and if i just want to test new products. I have about 30 waxes/sealants in total, with the same number if not more paint cleaners, multiple polishes, basically enough to open a shop
  5. cant advise where to clean as i diy for those reasons above (plus im a hobbiest detailer) but to detail go see damien @ finalinspection.com.au
  6. any R35s being parted out in Aus yet? wouldnt mind a few interior pieces as cores so that i can get my trim re-covered etc without downtime
  7. hi guys bumping this thread found the camera option in the system diagnostic menu on my 2010 clicking on this gives you the parking line guides when putting into reverse have ordered the oem camera kit from japanparts (15% off atm) and will be installed entirely within the boot area. I have pulled back the boot trim and located the plugs for the oem kit will post some pics when it's all done - that is if it works.....only one way to find out
  8. yep i know but as per my post, it's only the Audi's with xenons (standard spec or optioned) that have the leds if you have halogen headlights, Audi replace the leds with a few 5w halogen globes instead btw i put angel eyes on my E46, not in a ricer ebay blue colour though, oem yellow
  9. the LM is a great looking wheel, they just look like 17s on the GTR
  10. yes but angel eyes, are for the most part, only seen on BMWs every ricer with an ebay account or a local autobarn is putting led strips on their cars these days those people who use them during the day bug the sh!t out of me......"alright relax mate, we get it, you optioned your A4 with xenons, you're cool" im not too fussed with these minor changes, exterior tweaks look like changes for the sake of it, especially the wheel design which looks a bit too soft - the Rays on the 370 look way more aggressive with their concavity the only option ive ever lusted after is the white seats out of the JDM models oh, and ill grab 5 of those new hvac knobs from the dealer next year thanks
  11. all you guys fearing the servicing costs must never have owned/maintained a euro performance car
  12. flappy paddles = daily driver
  13. lol you know me Ben, i cant leave anything alone
  14. the bluetooth mic is behind the vent/slats to the right of the OFF switch position pulled the map light piece out today, its identical to the 370, even has the groves to slot the oem 370 led module into it i shown a small led torch through the hole and think i know why they didnt put a led in the light is dispersed back near the handbrake lever rather than over the gear trim surround. However this can be fixed by using a 180 degree led and playing around with the positioning to push the light forward, not too hard ill get started next weekend, too bust trying out a new wax today
  15. spreading democracy one failed show car at a time
  16. agree, the s-class (and the new e-class) under dash lighting looks amazing at night the euro's have definitely moved on from putting leds under rear view mirrors and inside door handles even our exterior needs attention, i put leds in the numberplate and parkers, and fixed the rear tail lights to illuminate all 4 stove burners
  17. my m3 has the soft red downlighting as well, and illuminating onto white leather it looks great at night would look really good in the GTR with red light illuminating the flat silver console just strange that nissan put the same map light centre piece in the 370 as the GTR but pull the led out ill go past jaycar and buy a few different angle 3mm red leds and see what works, otherwise i might see if buying the 370 map light isnt too expensive at the dealer oh, and another thing i need to do is footwell lighting, yet another euro feature ive taken for granted edit - this is where the led emits light from on the 370. You'll notice its identical to the GTR's - id imagine they'd use a 360degree led check out this thread where they open it up, this is going to be easy http://www.the370z.com/diy-section-do-your...html#post519440
  18. Hi guys Just had my 2000km service and took a 370 for the day Very impressed with the interior lighting at night, and appears it has the euro style interior led downlighting onto the centre console The map light/interior light switch in the 370 looks to be identical to the GTR, even down to the tiny oval hole where the led emits the light But on my GTR it doesnt illuminate. Now is it just my car, or is the GTR supposed to have the red downlighting as well? It seems strange theyd put an led in the 370 but not the GTR If this is so, i might look into buying the map light piece out of the 370 and doing some retro wire taping

    Gtr $182,000?

i bought my new 2010 from FTG about a month ago and that was the only new car on the floor - are you sure there are 2-3 new cars sitting in the showroom? Audi TT and GTR are two completely different cars - those TTRS's would be harder to sell than a 612 Scaglietti, so thats the reason why you can low ball them decide what car you want, then go and heckle, but dont expect Nissan to bend as far as an Audi dealer
