  1. good to see them on the car Drew what is the quality of the paint etc like irl? im really skeptical about these US brands and thats my main concern i thought you ordered the matt bronze? im still a good 1-2 months away from recieving mine i rekon also did you weigh them? i did some figures and looks like ill be around 4lbs lighter per corner, but will only know for sure when i put the tyres on
  2. so where's everyones Aussie R35s with new shoes??? the US guys seem to change their wheels before they leave the dealership
  3. so is anyone here going to quit speculating and actually make this guy a reasonable offer btw, we are at the end of 2010 now, so its more likely closer to 2 years old
  4. thanks mate
  5. Hi guys I have a used OEM gearknob for sale. Taken off my car at 6000kms as i bought another to have retrimmed to match seats and avoid any downtime Great if like me, you want to do the same retrim and have no downtime, or if your gearknob is starting to look worn Make me an offer via pm
  6. Hi guys Just received my second interior retrim part and now want to have the main guage surround wrapped in CF - which means pulling it apart and sending to Robson in Singapore Rather than have the downtime, i want to purchase the oem guage surround piece but my ESM doesnt list part numbers, at least not that i can see, and even it did, im not sure if they are RHD or LHD Anyone have a list of part numbers or direct me somewhere (or do i just go and brave the dealer) BTW; i have a 6000km old OEM gearknob for sale if anyone wants it. This is off my own car as i bought a brand new one to have re-trimmed. PM me
  7. too funny how long have you been itching for the opportunity to rip that master stroke of internet forum wit?

i dont know, ive never used them, it may be a great job or may not, you'd need to speak to someone who's been there before or just take the punt if Nissan are going to pay for it i only use FileFinish in Fairfield for all my cars and likewise all my dad's supercars FileFinish are sole approved repairer for Rolls, Aston, LR, Lotus i visited them a few days ago and there was a black GTR in there getting a full respray

i wouldnt want a dealer sourced repair shop to touch my car if it's annoying you, just wait till the front gets stone chipped, and get it done yourself
  10. i always wanted to put tan sparco milano's in my 350 back in the day, but was put off by the need to get them engineered, losing side airbags, and insurance issues race seats are good for race cars the oem gtr seats are good enough for a daily driver had vaders on my R32 Golf and they were overkill for the street, too hard to get in and out of without crushing the crap out of the bolster the specv has the gt3 style seat since its a gt3 style car. the stock gtr has a normal sport seat like a stock 911, and i (and the gf) enjoyed the seat heating through winter
  11. at one stage i was looking at the E93 M3 as a replacement to my '05 E46 M3 but the new cars are far too heavy and with the roof up you could really feel the weight of that metal roof in the corners, i didnt notice much of a peformance gain. Also i was disgusted at the 200k+ sticker price. My E46 new was 160, a good 10K over normal RRP but acceptable since its a full individual build with paint, interior and trim not from the stock brochure what irked me most though was that there was an extra 50K in the price ONLY because BMW had to justify the existence of the 1 series. It is not a 200k car, nor is it even a 150K car in comparison to the C63. The sound/exhaust burble for a stock car makes for alot of fun on the road i dont like audi's full stop. I think what did it for me is the fact they need two performance versions of every model. Its as if, if the first car doesnt succeed, try again. And this was so true back with the B6 S4. Audi made a big deal about it being an E46 M3 killer with its V8 and AWD, and the M3 owned it with less power and RWD. So they went back to the drawing board and invented this new performance arm with an R in front of it +1 i cant stand people who buy a badge simply to play the hero role
  12. those belts arent oem
  13. apart from the logo, is the backrest any different? i think i prefer the suede/cloth inserts though - ive gotten used to them now after owning euro cars with nappa leather what i really want is the white seat option
  14. ok where were we... not even dude, the v8 is barely a match for a 997 carrera s and the v10 seems to struggle both in straight line and around a track from motoring mag/vid comparos
  15. actually no, the RS5 is the overpriced car in that comparison my C63 did everything the RS5 can and cost me 140 on the road, and sold for same 6 months later. Audi depreciation on anything over 100K is Lexus LS epic the GTR is in a different league performance wise compared to E9X M3, RS5, C63, IS-F
  16. they wont raise prices, they need to sell them afterall new models are a given, i bought my 2010 new too, if you cant accept the depreciation hit the instant you drive out of the showroom, buy used
  17. thanks mate but it's all sorted now
  18. 2010 came with nav, ipod integration, auto headlights, improved launch control requiring VDC to remain on, tweaked suspension and gearbox settings, but mechanically and visually identical to 2009 2012 has tweaks to suspension, chassis strengthening, exterior visual changes and extra power (30-35kw in Aus spec i believe) imo a full exhaust and off the shelf ecu tune on a 2009/2010 will more than make up the power deficit to the 2012, but if you're going to leave it completely stock and want the warranty then best go for the 2012. if you want to mod for power go for a 2009 as warranty will be expiring soon anyway US prices have risen with the 2012, but i doubt that will happen here
  19. yeh Peter mentioned they sorted everything out, good news mate, cant wait to see them on titanium im still months away think im just going to order the oem TPMS to play it safe
  20. drew, did you buy oem sensors or something else?
  21. Hi guys Will be switching over to aftermarket wheels/tyres and want to keep my stock wheels/tyres in one piece for easy swapping So ill need a replacement set of TPMS -tirerack has generics for $47 each Do i need to go to the dealer to have the new TPMS re-programmed? Is anyone here running aftermarket wheels with new sensors? What do you guys swapping out to track wheels do?
  22. hahahaha gold!! yeh i had some doucher trying to scam me when i had my M3 on carsales emails me saying he'll send me payment via DD and for me to drop the car off at a transport company yeh no worries google'd his email and all these links popped up, so replied, hey mate fyi <insert link here> ActionDan keep stringing him along, this is great
  23. this thread is full of WIN not even ferrari offer their legendary silver gate anymore if you cant accept it, im sure hyundai will keep offering you their 'sportscars' in manual for a few years yet
  24. not really fussed about the new model causing the current model to lose value its a given and happens with every car if you buy new you have to concede you lost the gst and stamps the second it rolled out of the showroom the only real visual difference out on the road imo will be the wheels, and im weeks away from having those changed anyway for those who track, they'll appreciate the aero and chassis stiffness upgrades
  25. the car in the link is the M-spec with some Nismo options such as wheels, wing etc, and similar money to Vspec in Japan we definitely wont be seeing that, the GTR already costs 180k, there is no market here for a 300K model this is the model we will be seeing next year http://www.gtrblog.com/2010/10/12/nissan-s...at-nurburgring/ extra power is cool, and a given with any facelift not feeling the leds but understand their required in alot of countries now - seems every ricer with an ebay account has the led strips on their cars these days wheels look good in some pics, others they look a little small and wussy but i am ordering those new hvac knobs, the only thing imo that lets the interior quality feel down all the aero upgrades etc doesnt mean much to me since i daily drive this car
