  1. hahaha likewise i actually enjoy chatting to other skyline/gtr/z owners on the road, its good fun yet here you can cut the hate with a knife
  2. yeaaahhhh ahhh but you still havent answered my question its actually very relevant the comment was made that you cant use the car as "nissan intended" without turning off VDC and voiding the warranty so i ask, if the only thing i cant do is awesome 4 wheel burnouts with vdc on, how is having the vdc on/race not using the car as nissan intended? its cool though, good discussion
  3. was i? where? quote me...... in the meantime, ill be watching top gear
  4. why do i need to turn vdc off on the street to use the car as nissan intended? i can use LC with VDC on to impress my mates, and full sick 4 wheel donuts dont work as well as they do on need for speed undergound bro
  5. thanks for your 3 posts justifying your pov and the god like image you've painted for my grandfather's vn vacationer now shhhhh dont ruin this for me, this is the car ive always wanted for 7 months
  6. yep pretty much when the reasons are incorrect enjoy
  7. it's not? my dealer lied to me, i thought they weren't allowed to do that
  8. isnt soul and passion just dealer buzz words for branded merchandise and engine out cam belt changes every 15k kms
  9. just show your mate this vid not even close hahaha classic my service intervals are every 10k kms just like other supercars, and launch control works with the vdc on in my car so all under warranty my advice is to quit reading all the interweb hater speculating but yes, about spot on opinion from someone who a) doesnt own one, and b) has never driven one i hate 911 porsches, i dont know why everyone gets a hard on over them. The engine is the wrong place for perfect weight balance right, and that flat 6 engine is so puny next to my mates big 6.0l v8 ute, and i watched this video on the internet where jeremy clarkson doesnt like them and they had this argument over it and jeremy clarkson won..... yawn
  10. dilusional with every new car, there is always the epic haters that troll behind
  11. .....awaits the ubiquitous "that'll buff right out" post
  12. .....or maybe flat black vinyl as it's even cheaper and looks like cf from afar
  13. put this thread in the main section dude you'll get more views and thus replies unfortunately, the sub forums dont get as much traffic
  14. the retrimmer in melb was blackmans the rsw part i ordered from japanparts iirc, or maybe it was tunerlab.....either way tunerlab's doors are now closed anyway the only people i know who can wrap cf is robson design in singapore, though its a hassle having to remove the part, send o/s and wait for it to come back whilst the car is off the road hence why im trying to source a spare bezel surround trim atm to have wrapped
  15. the change over wont be a deciding factor will wait to see how/if it drives any different as much as i love this car, there are less tangible things i value in the new model - the uprated interior materials, improved paint quality, etc that i will wait to assess in the flesh
  16. Finally took a pic of the first step in ramping up the looks of the interior Im taking a more subtle approach, i think its all too easy to od on cf, so this may seem like no big deal for most, but in the flesh its a really nice touch and does the lift the ambience The details - new gearknob purchased as i wasnt sure it was going to turn out right. However, blackmans in melb nailed it. Red Leather colour is very close and has the same perforated texture as stock seats (just cant be seen well in pic). Carbon is an overlay from RSW Japan. Fit is perfect, but if i had my time again i wouldnt have rushed into an overlay and had the original part wrapped....i still might when i get around to stage 2 What cant be seen is the dynomating of under the rear seat. I used half a trunk pack and got good even courage in one layer. Hasnt removed all the noise from stones, random diff/box noises but has reduced them by at least 50%. No more drone from my non-resonated mid-pipe either at low revs in tall gears - read gf auto mode Stage 2 will be to remove the main bezel trim, wrap that in carbon and re-do the leather? lid in suede with red stitching. Just need to work up the courage to pull it all apart
  17. as much as i want to, and would have already done so by now, i like being held tight at night with a manufacturer warranty ive been down the void warranty route in modifying my M3 and it was no fun when things (inevitiably) go wrong it will be a drainer to have to repaint/clear bra the sills, re-dynamat the rear seats, and swap over a few other bolts on, so ill drive it when its available and see if it's worth the hassle quick note on that vid, seems theres no axle tramp when using the LC like all the series 1 LC vids what i really want to know is if they've gotten rid of that 0.5 seconds of no-mans land jumping on the throttle from standstill
  18. bought my miltek from audvolks but depending on your state... http://www.millteksport.com/stockists.in.c...untry=Australia
  19. yep very impressive read a review where they say the extra 40hp feels like 100, and theyre probably right ill look into swapping my '10 for an '11 when it hits the showrooms ill have around 10k kms on it by then
  20. awesome, thanks for the pics thats starting to look better now ive gone with polished dish, which will make the centres look a bit brighter as the light reflects off the dish i think that colour suits ti best, the all black look is a bit old news now, i see so many HSVs, E9X M3s etc with the gloss black wheels. That bronze is very unique agreed ill drop it with the kw sleeve kit over the holidays as i want to remove the rear trim myself - my car being black with black sills does hide the wheel gap better than other colours
  21. yep they are Tyrepower are handling my order, great bunch of guys and have been more than helpful in sorting out my colour/finish woes
  22. With wheels on the way, im thinking about a drop I dont really want to swap out springs only as they're never really perfectly matched with the oem shocks, and i dont want full coils because i like the elec damping, especially given i live/commute through the CBD and solely DD this car So the sleeve kit seems like a great compromise Anyone here running the KW kit, or something similar and can comment on ride quality etc
  23. Drew are these the pics you referring too where they looked glittery? Do they look like this irl?
  24. thanks for that drew ive requested additional pics from ADV in for more pics of your setup too to better gauge the colour
  25. if those are matt bronze i need to sort my order asap those look flat grey to me i was expecting the matt bronze to look like this http://www.adv1wheels.com/adv1wheels/galle...san_GTR_5_2.php re tyres yep, its the tyres that are the killer with the oem setup. im saving 7lbs a corner on tyres alone going to 21" yoki advans
