  1. I like the front lip, almost identical to MCRs wheels belong on a Mazda 3 sport maxx I can't stand the led strips, id paint over them, seems every ricer with an eBay account is putting this shit on their cars these days
  2. Yep follow instructions above
  3. worked best with the oem bridgestones, just a little bit of slip too much wheelspin through 1st with the yoki 21s though but then id rather have all that energy dissipate away through wheelspin then have positive grip and all the energy go through the diff/box
  4. yep definitely does, dealer service tech showed me how to set it up everything in r mode, foot on brake, brings up the revs to about 3200 no wheel spin (on oem tyres), no axle tramp like the 2009s
  5. I'm sure Allen will read this thread in time, I'm hanging to see his car
  6. awesome feedback mate, much appreciated I'll admit im a bit meh too, only because I've been too so many of these type of events with other manufacturers before Re the launch, I'd be keen to see how it compares to my R launch mode
  7. sounds good would love to see how everyone is mod'ing their cars and talk the talk
  8. what I predict, 2 hours in a tent listening to pr dribble about the new car and an outlap and inlap
  9. im booked in for the thurs arvo is it a byo helmet type deal? do you even have to wear a helmet?
  10. given that re-body, swapping over the steering column and loom would be something they'd do for shits n gigs on a bored sunday arvo
  11. yeh i cant hate either i admire the quality of that work regardless it's a bit like those ott auto salon style stereo installs that are more out-dated in execution than corduroy pants . If the quality of work, fit and finish is impeccable, mucho respecto. Taste is irrelevant
  12. it is very cool to watch, especially since the screen shows you where he's on and off the throttle
  13. full incar vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=HK62yyQ33_U
  14. promo cars arent meant to go unnoticed
  15. hmmm at least they didn't make it look like an Aston or Ferrari Liking the orange wheels, keep thinking about painting my oem's takata green for shits n giggles
  16. Yeh I realized it's next week Just as well, can't do it this week with all the gp events on during the day and night
  17. greddy tt kit + box strengthening
  18. disagree on the 350z commentary the hp upgrades were the result of some decent internal engine upgrades -276hp to 300hp gained alot new parts to make it higher/freer revving, than the change to twin thorttle bodies....
  19. you wont get 0-100 in 3.0 in Australia mate maybe mid 3s if you're lucky in absolute ideal conditions i was contemplating trading my 2010 for a 2011, but would rather update when they change the actual design so it looks at least different from behind the wheel dont get too caught up in the hp figures, as most know, 1k later and a cobb will net you more power than the 2011 anyway, let alone the ubiquitous y-pipe and/or mufflers we all add straight away
  20. seems the drive days started today im booked to go down tomorrow anyone that went today care to explain what it's all about and whether it's worth me losing a whole day at the office
  21. yep they could, but that'd have more to do with being able to hype and sell another facelift a further 2 years down the track with 550hp incremental changes and minor power-ups is what keeps the continual sales alive for performance cars
  22. yep ive seen a matt paint merc with a 3hr old bird bomb.....panel needs to be repainted. Even those annoying brown thin line mosquito bombs damaged the finish matt paint is porous, even washing can leave water spots if you have hard water or dont dry immediately. Id hate to see what it'd look like when it rains and then the sun comes out and etches the water droplets into the finish. Not even some super sealants i have can resist water spot etching from our harsh aussie sun with vinyl, you'd just pull the panel wrap off and re-apply if you mess it up
  23. why is the wheel silver on the inside? or is it the camera flash making them look silver? ive since taken my oem wheels off for aftermarkets and they are painted grey inside the barrels - no cracks that i can see with the oem tyres still mounted agreed the warranty is very up in the air, but then alot of manufacturers are doing same in recent years with the gfc, slumping sales, loss of profit etc re the launch control, you have a 2010, you can use with VDC-R, so technically if the box falls to bits off the line it should be covered under warranty...... technically it's dissappointing to hear about this denial when at the end of the day it is a relatively cheap part to replace. I would have thought nissan would bend over backwards to accomodate such an expensive car purchase given their largest market for a new model are existing owners ..... see you guys at PI for the free and catered 2011 drive day
  24. agreed in part but give me an aircraft wide runaway and an unlimited film roll and i can powerdrift too video cameras offer a unique benefit in that it allows the producer to cut all the shots that had him going ass backwards into his own shadow. You can tell often as the weather and surface (damp, then dry, then wet, then dry) constantly changes during the one shot
  25. entertainment > fact
