  1. gotta be strapped dawg or youz ain't ballin Lol if I was being pounded 24/7 by their awesome media propaganda machine I'd believe men with beards are coming to get me too.... and this only a couple decades after getting over the commies were coming to get me I am loving the retail bargains at a buck ten though so keep borrowing that 540k per minute to keep the war machine going and the public in a constant state of fear lobbyists in the US are going after their rights to bare arms state by state (which was originally included so the public could overpower an oppressive government) so it's only a matter of time before they ain't packing no more
  2. Pretty sure that can't be done The 09 ADM cars had an analogue unit, whereas 2010 ADM with sat nav, higher res screen etc is a digital unit The JDM was always a digital unit I believe, so you'd need to be tinkering with a unit out of a 2010 ADM build car If you haven't already bought a JDM, I'd just go the extra mile for an ADM 2010 build. Will give you all the mod cons and hold it's value better The brains of the unit is behind the cd slot, I've gotten behind there to bypass the DVD inmotion lock out, it all looks very well integrated back there, I highly doubt it's a simple switch
  3. highly doubtful you'll find anything not enough JDMs were sold here to warrant anyone investing the time/cash to rig something up
  4. lol at covers!!! i dont think they need to be ducted, the whole flat bottom diffuser works by having air pass under it as well as over it - so plenty of cool air hitting them i'd love to see this car in action one day
  5. installed intakes today, fit of the airbox and piping was spot on have gained some welcome turbo spool and some bov sound letting off at high boost - will be alot of fun on cold nights up in the hills, well worth the price imo, and the cf shroud around the pod filters should provide some level of heat soak resistance stuck in traffic seriously considering some gfb hybrid bovs now to get some more bov sound at high boost
  6. My cf parts sold
  7. Hmmmm pretty much every tuner is telling me to avoid using metallic high flow cats in the downpipe because they fail easily with high heat
  8. Finally found a vid with hfc downpipes and it's not the raspy sound I'm after So will to straight downpipes and swap out my midpipe with the Cobb catted
  9. thanks for the feedback mate, ill look into hfc downpipes my midpipe is 3" at the downpipe so would go with aam's hfc downpipes i have the full Top Secret intake and turbo inlet pipes - installing them over the weekend
  10. Hi guys Just put my 90mm ti exhaust on and running an 80mm ss milltek non-res midpipe with oem cats The exhaust didnt really add much to the sound i was getting from the midpipe only - if anything its only increased the volume slightly which was somewhat expected given it's an identical layout to the oem setup So now im thinking of jumping in the deep end with catless dp's and perhaps playing it safe with a resonator'd 90mm ti midpipe to take the edge off For those running catless dp's, and im pretty sure there's a good handful of you now, how loud is it now that you've lived with the car Is there any boom or resonance coming in through the transmission tunnel or nvh at certain rpms? Can you tell you're running catless when idle'ing or in auto mode shifting below 2k? And lastly, are you getting a build up of carbon on the rear bumper? I found this vid on the tube and like the sound, but it's hard to tell how loud it is inside the cabin
  11. Cant seem to edit my post Parts now on Ebay
  12. Hi guys Have some matt carbon parts for sale - all brand new I ordered this matt carbon boot spoiler extension and while waiting the 4 weeks for it to be made, i ended up ordering a wingless matt carbon boot And now i'm selling the matt carbon exhaust trim because it doesn't match my Nordring matt carbon parts Parts were made by Downforce USA - full thread/pics here http://www.nagtroc.o...showtopic=40774 I prefer Melb CBD pickup - will post if someone interstate wants both pieces as i still have the original box Boot Spoiler Extension - $400 Exhaust trim - $450 pair Here's some pics i took with dry fit
  13. not as quick to the national speed limit either
  14. no not James i dont mind if they are re-branded, the TS were a good 250 bucks cheaper than the HKS kit with their drop-in filters (which im running atm) makes sense now then why they're using the hks filters Martin has provided me an e-map for the intakes + midpipe, but i have a full 90mm ti exhaust setup in the air atm, so ill have to do some datalogging and get a new map done i have to learn how to use the datalogger on the cobb
  15. agreed, always been a fan of Smokey's cars my build will be solely Top Secret engine side - intake, ti intercooler piping, high flowed oem turbos......
  16. yeh the filters are from HKS but the cf makeshift airbox is TS's own work most of the aftermarket inlet pipes end up looking all pretty much the same
  17. Finally received my Top Secret full intake kit (thanks to Henry at RMSMotorparts who sources all my JDM stuff) Got my Zele skirts too but there's plenty of pics of those floating around .... the Top Secret intake and turbo inlet pipes not so much Intake pipes are 65mm going into 60mm turbo inlet pipes I've downloaded a few diy's for the inlet pipes and it looks like a knuckle buster, not looking forward to it
  18. 2010 has midpipe and tune seems the dyno results are accurate, the 2011 is basically a 2010 with a canned stage 1 cobb tune given the only mechanical difference is a few mm on the turbo inlet pipes, a midpipe + tune on both should make them pretty much equal
  19. no no, i meant "birds" as in chicks.... women.... girls.... miley cyrus
  20. yep a Smart car for one even women frantically doing their make-up while running late to work will take a brief look at a stickered up Smart but with the GTR, you're limiting yourself to teenagers
  21. topspeed took the front driveshaft out for the skidpad
  22. quality depends on the installer, but most remove bumpers, headlights, mirrors etc for clean edgings i still think matt black wraps have gotten old really quick the new trend seems to be matt pearl white wraps
  23. yep i do alot of reading on nagtroc, its a great source to see how people are staging their power mods im still undecided about changing out the intercooler i dont think its necessary on the stock turbos for street use. the problem i see with fitting a much larger cooler over stock is actually having the turbos produce enough psi to fill it and not suffer any pressure drop so id prob fit a larger cooler along with larger turbos
  24. itll be a while before i look at high flowing the stock turbos (ie; willall's oem turbo mod) ill do injectors, pumps and bovs/ic piping before then......in a few months, doing things in stages is more fun
  25. thanks for the feedback mate I think I'll wait to hear how loud it is once I put the amuse muffler on with my non-resonated milltek midpipe so whats your next step after breathing mods? did you guys change the turbo inlet pipes too?
