  1. are your pull/chin ups done with extra weight? not having a go but if only bodyweight they seem to be low considering what your lifting on other exercises? hard getting back into it after a holiday... I deadlifted on Tues and have been hobbling around like a 90 year old for the last few days!
  2. throw the crank away... no point spending coin on all the other items and trying to reuse a damaged crank 500awkw in a 2.6L with 272 cams will be laggy... tonnes of fun but I wouldn't describe it as 'responsive' nice car

  4. 2 cars fit in the carport and for some reason the Mrs doesn't like parking on the street yeah restomods are popular in the US with old muscle cars... kinda the best of both worlds, looks great but doesn't drive like a soggy old sponge... ruins the originality and you wouldn't want to do it with a real collectable I'd still run the original motor, not a huge fan of engine swaps and an L series with big carbs/cams sound brilliant blk180: yeah that's why I don't want to restore one myself... hard to find good ones that people have put money/time into that they're willing to let go of but if anyone has seen anything let me know
  5. anyone spotted good restored 240K or C110 or even old Z's 240, 260 etc?... prefer cars that have already had the work done (good work), don't have to be completely original... even restomod style that might be running modern suspension, brakes motor etc... sorry to upset any purists think its time to get rid of the R and get into something with a bit of style... you can't use 95% of the GTR's power on the road anyway
  6. the whole skin cancer thing has been blown way out of proportion... sunscreen stops your skin from producing vitamin D so most people are deficient (and its a really good vitamin, look it up)... especially women who use moisturizer every day that has 15+ in it don't go getting burnt but make sure you get at least 15mins here and there of sun without sunscreen... I always go out without it then put it on after 15min... that's between 11am and 4pm though... if its after 4pm I don't usually bother (have a look at the UV charts) I'm usually really pale but have managed to get a nice tan this summer without ever getting burnt my parents never had sunscreen... they used to go out and get badly burnt repeatedly until their skin adapted... now my old man gets his skin checked regularly and has had lots of suspicious moles removed, so there is a happy medium between that and those sickly pale looking kids running around with 500 layers on at the beach and those stupid farking tents people always set up right in front of me! and I'll leave you with this... there is new research to suggest some sunscreen ingredients might be cancerous
  7. just spent 2 weeks in byron bay and although I tried to get walks and swims in every day I'm feeling like I need a heavy gym session badly... only upside is I've actually got a decent tan for once still can't totally get rid of gut flab... was doing the fasted cardio morning walk thing but kinda offset it by drinking all afternoon lol... really annoying, need to get rid of that last bit round my lower abs and lower back... every time I almost get there I ruin it by eating and drinking like a fat bastard... but when your on holiday you gotta do what feels good hehe some seriously ripped surfers up there... hitting the surf everyday is a great workout, paddling a board great for your shoulders/back... dudes are built but lean as... made me all jelly in the plus column I did get one 'holy shit your back is huge' from a mate who hadn't seen me with the shirt off in a while... nohomo of course sigh... back to the grind

  11. non-starchy carbs... starch is basically sugar once its broken down in the body go for brown rice, sweet potato, beans (navy, red etc) and heaps of other stuff you also need some fibre in there for gut health... helps you to better absorb nutrients if your digestive system is working properly... that and you need to poop... pooping is awesome

  15. yep he has no real weak areas... has well balanced has more bulk than the average hollywood actor while still rocking the hawt abz brah diet is the key there... makes me want to give up beer and midnight munchies... but sif that's going to happen! lol

  20. weighted dips are a better exercise for your triceps IMHO... your elbows are really flared out there too, you want to keep them tucked into your body as much as possible

  22. its not so much height as it is arm length relative to your body when deadlifting... if you have long arms you naturally have a shorter ROM to move the bar... same deal with lifting sumo, your effectively making your legs shorter and therefore shortening the ROM that's why its hard to be good at bench press and deadlifts... if your built for one, your not built for the other (long arms make benching harder etc)
  23. yeah good points there (especially the one re dropping into a game that's half over)... I have extra damage on the striker so you'd really hate me lol... I actually aim down the sights though, not just running around like a madman shooting from the hip... aiming down the sights gives you heaps more range anyway, I get lots of longshot headshots with it... but now I feel a little guilty lol also playing domination when you have 2 points and the other team is just camped at their only spot racking up kills is stupid... yeah sure you end up with a nice KDR but you lose the game and get outpointed... if you want to do shit like that just play team deathmatch
  24. I will say one thing about the Japanese Group A cars, they might have been slower than the GMS cars but they were a hell of a lot prettier! Roy: The Sierra would have to be a helluva a lot cheaper than 1/3 the price to have one over a GTR
