  1. yeh see the steelies are cheap hence y i want them for my drag rims
  2. the older falcons have the same stud pattern also so does magnas also. wat im curious is whether or not sumone has tried them with the skyline brakes and if ther clear and a place that could widen the wheels to take larger tyres??
  3. hey guys im currently looking to buy some mickey thompson ets for when i hit the strip and id like to put them on some replacement wheel that i can change at the track. but i want to go sumthing like 275' 15 or 16 maby even 17's. what i would like to know is do falcon wheels or any other type fit over the brakes and who can i get to widen the wheels to take larger rubber etc?? ne help would be great thnx
  4. im not exactly to fussed on the light itself just to see if the launch works because after i read up on it, it also allows flat changing and not falling off boost etc seems like a cheaper option then changing computer to suite.
  5. does any one run these and do they work decently????
  6. In need of 1 camshaft seal for my rb26 as i need to running next week and at a long shot that someone has a genuine one lieing around that they dont want i will take it off ur hands freight etc. let me know ppls
  7. ur better off just gettin a 2nd hand box cuz to pull the gearbox down to replace the cluster shaft is alot of effort. and thye cluster shaft from wat ive been told is sumwhere round the 1200 mark from nissan. if u wanna do it up u could get a os giken gear set etc ive got a thread going for par gearsets to see wat ppl have to say about them.
  8. yes but people that i rang around and spoke to about them said that par and warranty are words that shouldnt be mentioned together. but ive never seen evidence yet of a par gearset in a skyline failing they have there own 9.8sec drag car not aussie built but still if it work it works. im very keen to try a set and punish it to see if it breaks or last quite a while plus they offer cooler sets then ppg like a straight cut synchro set... i think thats pretty mad lol
  9. no idea buddy. maby ask dirtgarage (paul) short of that ring award diff and gearbox watever there name is apparently they know there shiz
  10. wen i enquired bout the series 3 bit they told me $590. unsure if they use the revised synchro's for the ppg set.
  11. yeh never had any issues with my gtst only gtr style stuff. ive done the good ole block of the front of the turbo trick and put compressed air into the plenum via a vaccum port and the amount of leaks that i found just little tiny leaks nuthin substantial but still. had 3 leaks on plenum to head flange as i run a hypertune plenum and 1 leak down on driver side cooler pipe. am gonna do the intake gaskets but was just seeing wat you guys would suggest instead of the paper nissan gasket if you had any success etc
  12. and youd be "stoopid" to say dont use metal ones on the intake wen u list tomei which make metal intake gaskets? :-D
  13. because its highly illegal on the street im not sure you'll get much of a response but guess it cant hurt to try.
  14. Just curious to see wat other ppl out there use for there intake gasket side of things etc eg standard or tomei metals and whether u use any type of goop to seal better etc. I used standard gasket on mine and have had a few issues with them leaking just curious to see wat other ppl have done
  15. if there not used dont worry about it... simple other then that they use the same wiring harness for every car therefore maby the white plug down the base of the pic is for a factory option sumthing but the 2 wires off to the side look like sumthing a previous opwner may have done...
  16. ive got a sprung centred hks gd max twin plate never broken a box just worn shit out. the hks twin is now slipping so giving it to jim berry most likely to do a carbotic rebuild and up the clamping load. will see how it goes they claim tho heavy clutch's are murder on synchro because of the mass that is spining takes longer to slow down mainly os giken clutches i was told unsure why but yeh.
  17. could that also possibly come down to the fast of theres so much load on the standard box. 540hp and tune still isnt finished doesnt really sit the standard gears in good steed
  18. whenever i change gears i always allow time for the synchro to catch up never slam it through gears. theres been nuthin fast enough to warrant slamming the gears. even a 570hp maloo ute he had about 20 car lengths on me wen we both punched it and by the end of third i had about 10 car length on him... he went home with his tail between his legs complaining i threw rocks at him.... I said "well next time stay infront" lol
